Moxa is applied to Qu [Chi] and Liang Wen Tou [likely referring to specific points or locations], four points on each foot (left and right), three moxa cones per point. When moxa-ing one foot, two moxa cones are lit simultaneously. As soon as the moxa cone touches the skin and pain is initially felt, two people blow on both sides simultaneously until the fire extinguishes. The moxibustion is performed at noon (Wu hour). By the time of Ren Ding (evening), the patient will feel the internal organs moving once or twice, or hear sounds like thunder from the movement of the internal organs, and the disease will be cured immediately. This method is miraculous, and its efficacy is immeasurable.
