A son of a wealthy family suddenly fell ill, perceiving straight objects as slanted; he had to move objects to a slanted position to perceive them as straight. His father sought medical help. A physician kept the young man overnight, making him drink heavily until drunk, then sent him home. The next day, the objects previously perceived as slanted appeared straight. The parents were overjoyed and thanked the doctor, asking why the effect was so miraculous. The physician said: "Your son has no disease. It is merely that while drunk, he often stumbled, causing a lobe of his Liver to rest upon his Lung, unable to descend, thus causing him to see straight things as slanted. Today, by making him drunk, the Lung became distended; during his tossing and turning, the Liver lobe descended accordingly. How could medicine treat this?"
