Xiaobian Du (Toxic Urinary Swelling) arises on the glans penis, which is the main control center of the Kidney Meridian in the human body. It is also known as Bian Fa (Genital Abscess). It is caused by excessive indulgence in alcohol and sexual activity, leading to extreme heat flowing into the Lower Jiao (Lower Burner), or by contracting a vaginal ulcer from a woman, or by engaging in intercourse during menstruation. Although the causes differ, the harm is the same, and this condition is difficult to treat with divine prescriptions. At the initial stage, use Zihua Diding (Viola Yedoensis), Shexiang (Musk) 3-4 fen, and one slice of Shengjiang (Fresh Ginger), decocted in one bowl of water, taken on an empty stomach for miraculous effect. If accompanied by swelling and pain in the urethra, Muxiang Liqi Yin (Wood Fragrance Qi-Circulating Decoction) and Binglang Zhuodu Yin (Areca Nut Poison-Chasing Decoction) are suitable. If dryness and ulceration occur, topical application is also appropriate; otherwise, pus and blood will block the urethral orifice, causing unbearable swelling.
