[Nine Types of Head Sores in Children]

Feichuang (Greasy Scab) often occurs on the heads of children. Use equal parts of Oryza sativa var. glutinosa Semen (Glutinous Rice) and Atractylodis Rhizoma (Cangzhu), stir-fry them into charcoal, grind into powder, mix with oil, and apply topically.

Children frequently suffer from Feichuang (Greasy Scab); use equal parts of Glutinous Rice and Cangzhu (Atractylodis Rhizoma).
Stir-fry together into charcoal and grind into powder; applying with oil brings greatest peace.

Ruanjie (Soft Carbuncle) appears on the child's head. First wash away pus and blood with tea water, then grind Qujiu (Medicated Leaven) and mix with Albumen Ovum (Egg White) for topical application.

It is pitiable when children suffer from Ruanjie (Soft Carbuncle); grind Medicated Leaven and mix with Egg White.
After washing with tea water and applying, it will naturally settle within three applications.

For Laitouchuang (Scabby Head Ulcer), burn sheep feces to ash and apply Tianyan Oil. First wash with Zhulv (Bamboo Juice), then dry.

Do not seek random remedies for a child's Laitouchuang (Scabby Head Ulcer); use ash from burned sheep feces mixed with Tianyan Oil.
Wash clean in Bamboo Juice, dry the hair, and apply the medicine first for healing.

Yueshi (Moon Eclipse Sore) is also known as Zouma Yagan (Running Horse Tooth Gangrene). Internally administer Liangge San (Cooling the Chest Powder); externally apply medicated powder.
Liangge San (Cooling the Chest Powder)
Contains: Coptidis Rhizoma (Huanglian), Scutellariae Radix (Huangqin), Gardeniae Fructus (Zhizi), Forsythiae Fructus (Lianqiao), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao), Pruni Radix (Jiegen), Menthae Haplocalycis Herba (Bohe). If fire toxicity is severe, add Rheomi Radix et Rhizoma (Dahuang), Natrii Sulfas (Mangxiao), and Bambusae Leaves (Zhuye). Use Jiedixin (Centella asiatica / Ligusticum wallichii root? Note: Usually refers to Centella or similar diuretic herb, here likely Centella asiatica or just "Dengxin" - Jiedixin) as a guide.
Decoct in water and take after meals.
Topical Powder Formula
Ru Xiang (Olibanum) 2 qian, Moyao (Myrrha) 2 qian, Ercha (Camptotheca fruit/Tea catechu?), Xuejie (Dragon's Blood) 1 qian, Sepiae Endoconcha (Piaoxiao) 1 qian, Alum (Kufan) 0.5 qian, Halloysitum Rubrum (Shizhi) 0.7 qian, Wen Ge (Mosquito Shell?), Dishi Po (Earth Lice?) 0.5 qian, Moschus (Shexiang) 0.05 qian,
Honghe Pian (Red Crane Slice) as needed, Yang Ma Bang (Thorn Buckeye opening red flowers?), Renzhongbai (Calcinatus Humanis Alvi) as needed, Shangpian (Calcined Horn?) 0.05 qian, Baicaoshuang (Charcoal from Hundred Herbs) 0.5 qian.
Grind all into fine powder and apply topically.
External Formula
Goubipi (Phellodendri Cortex/Digupi - note: text says Digupi but lists Goubipi, usually Digupi is Gu Pi, here likely Phellodendri Cortex or Lycii Cortex depending on context, but standard Digupi is Phellodendri. Text says "Digupi (peel skin)" so likely Phellodendri Cortex), Kufan (Alum) (roasted dry).
Grind into powder and apply topically.

Yagan (Tooth Gangrene) arises on the gum roots, accompanied by salivation and pain. Use Chen Bian Tong Mu (Wood from old urine bucket), Kufan (Alum, ground soft), Hehui (Nut Ash), and Realgar (Xionghuang) mixed for topical application; it subsides immediately.
