1. A sore grows on the upper neck, as large as a cherry, displaying five colors. When the sore breaks, the skin of the neck is severed. Daily consumption of cow's milk will cause it to subside naturally.
2. Chills and fever persist without cessation. After one month, the four limbs become hard as stone; striking them with an object produces a sound like bells or chimes. The body becomes increasingly emaciated and wretched. Decocting equal parts of Cornus officinalis (Corni Fructus) and Costus root (Aucklandiae Radix) in water and drinking the decoction leads to recovery.
3. The head of the large intestine protrudes by more than one cun, causing severe pain. It eventually dries up, falls off, and then regrows. This condition is named "Jie Chang" (Intestinal Severance Disease). If the entire intestine protrudes, it is incurable. However, if only one cun protrudes initially, it is treatable. Place sesame oil in a vessel and have the patient sit on it with their buttocks. Drinking several sheng of hemp seed juice will cure the condition.
4. Foul-smelling fluid flows from the mouth and nose. When collected in a bowl, iron-colored fish, as large as rice grains, are seen jumping incessantly. Picking them up with fingers causes them to dissolve into water, indicating necrotic flesh. Consuming chicken meat at will will lead to recovery.
5. Numbness and insensitivity occur in the abdomen. Boiling and consuming a large amount of white onion stalks will result in self-healing.
6. In women, feces pass through the urethra during urination. This is called "Jiao Chang" (Crossed Intestines). Taking "Wu Ling San" (Five Spirit Powder) is effective. If not fully cured, burning old hair into ash and taking it with wine can be used.
