Diao Chang Wan (Hook Intestine Pill)
Treats deficiency-cold of the Large Intestine, caused by excessive consumption of cooling medicines or organ coldness following chronic dysentery. The pills are sized like millet grains. Larger pills should be chewed thoroughly and taken with Walnut Wine; smaller pills should be taken with Mugwort Wood Decoction. Gua Lou Wan (Trichosanthes Fruit Pill)
Treats initial prolapse of the rectum, presenting with cyanotic veins on the nasal bridge, pale lips, scorched-yellow tooth roots; in chronic cases, smooth cheeks lacking luster, red eyebrows, cracked dry lips, and frequent crying. Take one Huang Gua Lou (Trichosanthes Fruit), Ban Liang of Bai Fan (Alumen). Fix the Alumen inside the Trichosanthes Fruit, seal it tightly, calcine over fire, grind into powder, and bind with rice paste to form pills. Take 30 pills per dose, washed down with Rice Soup.

Formula for Blackened Prolapsed Rectum with Crust Following Frequent Dysentery
Burn the shells of Croton Seed (Ba Dou) to ash, boil with natural juice of Banana Leaf, add a small amount of Mirabilite (Pu Xiao), wash until soft, apply three drops of pure Sesame Oil, place on a triangular stand, and process with Alumen before use.

Long Gu San (Dragon Bone Powder)
Treats weakness of the Large Intestine resulting in rectal prolapse.
Take Long Gu (Fossilized Bones), He Zi Rou (Pericarpium Chebulae, stir-fried, each 2.5 qian), Mei Shi Zi (Aegiceras Cornu, large ones, 2 pieces), Ying Su Ke (Pericarpium Papaveris, remove calyx, stir-fry with vinegar), Chi Shi Zhi (Halloysit Rubra, appropriate amounts).
Grind all ingredients into powder. Take 1 qian per dose, mixed with Rice Drink.

Washing Formula
Decoct Xiang Fu Zi (Cyperi Rhizoma), Jing Jie (Schizonepetae Herba), and Zao Jiao (Gleditsiae Sinensis Spina) to wash the affected area.

Another Formula
Wash with Scallion Decoction to soften the tissue, then support the prolapse back into position using a Banana Leaf.

Another Formula
Decoct Wu Bei Zi (Galla Chinensis), Pu Xiao (Mirabilite), and Da Fu Pi (Arecae Pericarpium) to wash the area. Sprinkle Chi Shi Zhi (Halloysit Rubra) powder onto a Banana Leaf to support the prolapse back into position.

Pasting Formula
Take 49 seeds of Bi Ma Zi (Ricini Semen), grind into a paste, mix with water to form a cake, and apply to the fontanella (top of the head). This will retract the prolapse immediately with effective results.

Shui Sheng San Zi (Water Sage Powder)
Treats irreducible rectal prolapse.
Take any amount of Fu Ping Cao (Lemna Minoris Herba), pound into fine powder, and apply dry to the affected area.

Zi Ji Gao (Purple Jia Paste)
Treats rectal prolapse due to visceral heat.
Take a large handful of Zi Ji (Polygoni Multiflori Caulis et Folium), and prepare Hu Die Cao (Houttuyniae Herba) mashed into a paste. First wash the anus with Mirabilite water, sprinkle powder into the anus, support the prolapse back with a Banana Leaf, then apply the medication to the buttocks.

Another Formula
Heat a new brick until red, pour vinegar on it to generate steam. Press multiple layers of foot cloth over the steam source to allow heat to penetrate upwards without being too hot. Have the patient sit on the cloth with their buttocks. If the cloth feels warm, gradually reduce the number of layers. Maintain a constant mild warmth as the standard.

Moxibustion Method:
Apply three moxa cones at the center of the hair whorl on the top of the head; the prolapse will retract. Also apply three moxa cones at the tailbone (Wei Cui Gu). Additionally, apply moxibustion to the umbilicus according to the patient's age (number of cones corresponds to years of age).
