朱砂（一钱，拣明净者，研细） 真麝香（五厘） 蓖麻子（肥白者，三十六粒，去壳，纸裹，压去油）
共研成糊，用新笔醮药涂儿顶囱、前后心，手足心、两手湾、两腿湾，俱似象棋子
大，任其干落，不可洗去，惟端午午时搽之，必效。此方搽一年者，只出数十粒。搽
两年者，只出一二粒，搽三年者，不复出矣。传方之家已十六世不出痘矣，张不敢秘，用者珍之。
每岁春分、秋分服药一丸。能预消痘毒。若服三年六次，毒尽消减，痘必无虞矣。
缠豆藤（一两五钱，其藤八月间附生豆梗上，缠绕细红丝者是也。采取阴干，妙。在
此药为主） 山楂肉（一两） 新升麻（七钱五分）
生地（一两） 川大活（二钱） 牛蒡子（一两） 甘草（五钱） 黑豆（三十粒） 赤豆（
七十粒） 当归（酒洗，五钱） 赤芍（五钱） 桔梗（五钱） 连翘（去枝，梗，七钱） 辰
砂（五钱，水飞过用） 黄连（五钱，酒炒） 防风 荆芥（各五钱） 苦丝瓜（一个，长五寸，隔年经雷者妙，烧灰
存性） 为细末，和匀，砂糖拌丸，如李核大，每服一丸，甘草汤化下。诸药预先精
办，遇春分秋分或上元中元日修合，务在精诚，忌妇人猫犬见之。合时向太阳对药祝之，祝曰∶神仙
妙药，体合自然，婴孩吞服，天地齐年，吾奉太上老君，急急如律令敕，一口气念七遍。
朱砂（一钱，挑选明亮洁净的，研磨成细粉）和真麝香（五厘），以及蓖麻子（选用肥大白色的三十六粒，去掉外壳，用纸包裹，压榨去除油脂）。
将上述药物共同研磨成糊状，用新毛笔蘸取药糊涂抹在婴儿头顶囟门、前胸、后背、手心、手肘窝、脚心、膝盖窝，涂抹面积大小如同象棋棋子即可。
让其自然干燥脱落，不可洗去，只在端午节午时涂抹，必定有效。
此方涂抹一年的孩子，只出几十颗痘；涂抹两年的孩子，只出一两颗痘；涂抹三年的孩子，就不再出痘了。
传授此方的人家已经十六代没有出过痘了，我不敢保密，使用者请珍惜。

缠豆藤（一两五钱，这种藤蔓在八月间附着生长在豆梗上，缠绕着细红丝的就是它。采摘后阴干，效果极佳，以此药为主药）、山楂肉（一两）、新升麻（七钱五分）、生地（一两）、川大活（二钱）、牛蒡子（一两）、甘草（五钱）、黑豆（三十粒）、赤豆（七十粒）、当归（酒洗，五钱）、赤芍（五钱）、桔梗（五钱）、连翘（去掉枝条和梗，七钱）、辰砂（五钱，用水飞法处理）、黄连（五钱，酒炒）、防风、荆芥（各五钱）、苦丝瓜（一个，长五寸，隔年经过雷击的更好，烧成灰保留药性）。
将以上药物研成细末，混合均匀，用砂糖拌和制成丸剂，大小如李子核，每次服用一丸，用甘草汤送服化开。
所有药材预先精心准备，遇到春分、秋分或上元节、中元日进行配制，务必诚心诚意，忌讳妇女、猫狗看见。
配制时要面向太阳对着药材祝祷，祝词说：“神仙妙药，体合自然，婴孩吞服，天地齐年，吾奉太上老君，急急如律令敕”，一口气念七遍。
Cinnabar (1 qian, select bright and clean pieces, grind into fine powder), real Musk (5 li), and Castor Seeds (36 plump white seeds, remove shells, wrap in paper, press to remove oil).
Grind the above ingredients together into a paste. Use a new brush to dip the medicine and apply it to the infant's fontanelle on the top of the head, anterior chest, posterior back, palms of hands, cubital fossae of elbows, soles of feet, and popliteal fossae of knees. The application area should be the size of a Chinese chess piece.
Allow it to dry and fall off naturally; do not wash it off. Apply only at noon on the Dragon Boat Festival for guaranteed efficacy.
Those who apply this formula for one year will develop only dozens of smallpox lesions; those who apply it for two years will develop only one or two lesions; those who apply it for three years will not develop any lesions.
The family that transmitted this formula has gone sixteen generations without contracting smallpox. I dare not keep it secret; users should cherish it.
Take one pill each year on the Spring Equinox and Autumn Equinox. It can preemptively eliminate smallpox toxins. If taken for three years, totaling six doses, the toxins will be completely eliminated, ensuring no danger from smallpox.
Twining Bean Vine (1.5 liang; this vine attaches to bean stems in August, characterized by winding thin red threads. Harvest and shade-dry for best results; this is the principal herb), Hawthorn Flesh (1 liang), fresh Cimicifugae Rhizoma (Shengma) (7.5 qian), Rehmanniae Radix (Shengdi) (1 liang), Ligustici Wallichii Rhizoma et Radix (Chuanhuoluo) (2 qian), Arctii Fructus (Niubangzi) (1 liang), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao) (5 qian), Black Soybeans (30 grains), Red Beans (70 grains), Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Danggui) (washed with wine, 5 qian), Paeoniae Radix Rubra (Chishao) (5 qian), Platycodonis Radix (Jiegeng) (5 qian), Forsythiae Fructus (Lianqiao) (remove branches and stems, 7 qian), Cinnabar (Chensha) (5 qian, processed by water flotation), Coptidis Rhizoma (Huanglian) (5 qian, stir-fried with wine), Saposhnikoviae Radix (Fangfeng), Schizonepetae Spica (Jingjie) (each 5 qian), Bitter Luffa Fruit (Kusi gua) (one fruit, five cun long, preferably struck by lightning in the previous year, charred to ash while retaining properties).
Grind all herbs into a fine powder, mix evenly, bind with rock sugar to form pills the size of a plum pit. Take one pill per dose, dissolved and administered with Licorice Decoction.
All medicinal materials should be carefully prepared in advance. Compounding should be performed on the Spring Equinox, Autumn Equinox, Shangyuan Festival, or Zhongyuan Festival. One must be sincere and devout. Avoid letting women, cats, or dogs see the process. When compounding, face the sun and recite the following incantation towards the herbs: "Divine miraculous medicine, harmonizing with nature, infants swallowing it grants longevity equal to heaven and earth. In accordance with the decree of Supreme Lord Taishang Laojun, execute immediately." Recite this seven times in one breath.
