For treating scrofula (tuberculous lymphadenitis of the neck), the garlic-partitioned moxibustion method is suitable. One should begin moxibustion on the nodules that appeared last, continuing until reaching the primary nodule where it first started. Applying abundant moxa fire yields unparalleled efficacy.
[Note] For the garlic-partitioned moxibustion treatment of scrofula, use a slice of single-clove garlic to start moxibustion on the nodules that appeared last, stopping at the primary nodule. Moxibustion applied sufficiently will naturally be effective.
To eradicate axillary osmidrosis (fox odor), shave the axillary hair completely, then mix Dingfen (calamine powder) with water to form a paste. Apply this paste to the affected area for seven days. Observe if black pores appear; if so, burn them with moxa.
[Note] In cases of axillary osmidrosis, first shave off the axillary hair cleanly with a sharp knife. Then apply a mixture of high-quality calamine powder and water to the affected area. After six or seven days, look for a small black spot under the armpit. There must be a pore as large as a needle eye or the tip of a hairpin, which is the "qi aperture." Use an moxa cone the size of a rice grain to moxibustute it. Three or four moxibustion units (zhuang) will cure it, preventing recurrence forever.
After being bitten by a mad dog, one must first suck out the wound. If all the evil blood is sucked out, wind-toxin will not develop. Subsequently, moxibustute the bite site for one hundred moxibustion units. Regularly consuming roasted Chinese chives prevents panic.
[Note] For wounds from mad dog bites, urgently use a large clay wine pot filled with dry distilled liquor, heated extremely hot. Pour out the liquor and place the spout of the pot against the bite site, similar to cupping therapy, to suction out all the evil blood until the pot falls off naturally. Then apply moxa cones to the wound to prevent recurrence. Roasted Chinese chives refer to stir-fried Chinese chives.
Injuries from snakes, scorpions, centipedes, or spiders cause immediate and unbearable pain. Urgently apply garlic-partitioned moxibustion to the injury site. Fifty to sixty moxibustion units yield extraordinary effects.
[Note] For injuries from snakes, scorpions, centipedes, or spiders, in cases of urgent pain and critical condition, urgently apply moxa fire to the injury site to extract and disperse toxic vapors, bringing relief. Alternatively, use a slice of single-clove garlic for garlic-partitioned moxibustion. Change the garlic slice after two or three moxibustion units. For severe toxicity, moxibustute fifty to sixty units.

[Note] Sanli refers to Zusanli (ST36). The acupoint is located three cun below the knee, on the lateral margin of the fibula, within the depression inside the large tendon. Needle depth: 0.5 cun; retain needles for seven breaths; moxibustion: 3 units.
