Even if the quantity is heavy, it does not benefit the human body.
Sturgeon (Huangyu): Sweet in taste, neutral in nature, non-toxic. Its flavor is extremely rich and delicious, and people in Chu value it highly. Excessive consumption generates heat diseases. [Missing character/Text corruption]: Rich and delicately unique, yet also of no benefit to the person.
Perch (Luyu): Neutral in nature. Tonifies the five zang organs, benefits the liver and kidneys, harmonizes the stomach and intestines, strengthens sinews and bones, treats edema (shuiqi), tonifies the middle jiao and calms the fetus. Frequent consumption is beneficial to humans and rarely induces disease; this is likely why Zhang Han missed it. Making perch sashimi (Lu) is particularly good. Additionally, when dried, it becomes very fragrant and delicious, but should not be consumed together with dairy products or butter.
[Missing fish name]: Sweet in taste, non-toxic. Primarily treats edema, promotes urination. It is both delicious and nourishing, slightly benefiting stomach qi. Consuming it together with ox liver may cause wind disorders to flare up and chronic diseases to recur. Furthermore, it should not be eaten with pheasant or wild boar; fish with red eyes, red whiskers, and no gill covers are fatal.
HT Fish (Note: Original text contains garbled characters, retained as HT): Similar in appearance to [previous fish]. Sweet in taste, neutral in nature, non-toxic. Not fishy, delicious and beneficial to the body, tonifies the middle jiao and supplements qi, drains water from the bladder, and opens the appetite. When prepared, the white flesh is like snow. During the Sui Dynasty, Wu Commandery presented dried abalone as tribute. To enjoy it quickly, it was sun-dried, stored in bottles, and before eating, wrapped in cloth and soaked in water for a long time, then removed, appearing no different from fresh ones. These two types of fish are cold in nature and toxic, and are not desirable foods.
HT Fish (Note: Original text contains garbled characters, retained as HT): Raised in ponds, characterized by a large head and slender body. Sweet in taste, neutral in nature, beneficial to the person.
Silver-striped fish (Yintiaoyu): Sweet in taste, neutral in nature, non-toxic. Expands the middle jiao and strengthens the stomach; making soup with ginger is excellent.
