(The meridian starts at Tianchi (PC1) and ends at Zhongchong (PC9).)
The Pericardium Meridian of Hand-Jueyin originates in the chest, emerges to connect with the Pericardium, descends through the diaphragm, and successively connects with the Triple Energizer. Its branch follows the chest, emerges from the hypochondrium, descends three cun below the axilla, ascends to reach the axilla, and then descends along the medial aspect of the upper arm, running between the Lung Meridian of Hand-Taiyin and the Heart Meridian of Hand-Shaoyin. It enters the elbow, descends along the forearm between the two tendons, enters the palm, and follows the middle finger to its tip. Another branch separates from the palm, follows the ring finger to its tip. When this meridian is affected, it causes heat in the palm, spasm and stiffness of the arm and elbow, swelling of the axilla; in severe cases, it causes a feeling of fullness and distension in the chest and hypochondrium, violent palpitations, red face, yellow eyes, and incessant laughter. This meridian governs diseases related to the vessels, such as vexation, heart pain, and heat in the palm. For these conditions, excess is drained, deficiency is supplemented, heat is treated with rapid needling, cold is treated with retained needling, sinking qi is treated with moxibustion, and neither-excess-nor-deficiency conditions are treated by selecting points on the meridian itself. Excess is indicated when the pulse at Cun Kou is one times larger than that at Ren Ying; deficiency is indicated when the pulse at Cun Kou is smaller than that at Ren Ying.
"Xiao Zhi Ci Zhi" refers to the finger adjacent to the little finger, which is the ring finger.
The Pericardium Meridian of Hand-Jueyin intersects with the Kidney Meridian of Foot-Shaoyin. It originates in the chest, emerges to connect with the pericardium located below the heart, descends through the diaphragm, and successively connects with the Triple Energizer. Its branch, starting from the connection with the pericardium, ascends along the chest, emerges from the hypochondrium to descend three cun below the axilla to Tianchi (PC1), ascends to reach the axilla, and descends along Tianquan (PC2) on the medial aspect of the upper arm, positioned between the Lung Meridian of Hand-Taiyin and the Heart Meridian of Hand-Shaoyin. It enters Quze (PC3) in the elbow, then descends along the forearm between the two tendons, passing through Ximen (PC4), Jianshi (PC5), Neiguan (PC6), and Daling (PC7), entering Laogong (PC8) in the palm, and following the middle finger to its tip, Zhongchong (PC9). The separate branch from the palm follows the ring finger to its tip, thereby connecting with the Sanjiao Meridian of Hand-Shaoyang.
The Collateral of the Pericardium of Hand-Jueyin. It consists of nine acupoints. Starting from Tianchi (PC1) and Tianquan (PC2), it sequentially passes through Quze (PC3) and Ximen (PC4); Jianshi (PC5) connects to Neiguan (PC6); Daling (PC7) is near Laogong (PC8); finally, from the center of the palm, it reaches Zhongchong (PC9).
