桂枝加倍欲扶阳，再用生姜辅佐良，芍药补营能缓急，和中草枣有专长。
（里虚亡阳惊狂） 火劫亡阳惊且狂，居然起卧不安康，桂枝加减
偏能治，收敛神魂此法良。
桂枝去芍药加蜀漆龙骨牡蛎汤
桂枣姜甘系本汤，惟将芍药去偏良，再加蜀漆兼龙牡，用治惊狂是
妙方。
桂枝甘草龙骨牡蛎汤
（证附 里虚亡阳烦躁） 火逆烧针烦躁生，桂甘龙牡立方精，阴阳交媾收奇
效，气扰神魂顷刻清。
茯苓四逆汤
（证附 表解而里阳虚） 汗下躁烦治有方，茯苓祛湿是专长，补培元气资参草，扶
助真阳用附姜。
干姜附子汤
（证附 表解而里阳虚） 汗下失宜病不痊，昼多烦躁夜安眠，表邪已解身无热，姜附
回阳是妙煎。
（表阳内陷结胸） 短气躁烦更懊 ，心疼石硬满难容，脉沉而紧生潮热，此证统名大
陷胸。
大陷胸汤
除邪荡秽用硝黄，驱水争夸甘遂良，病得陷胸宜此药，退消实热是神方。
大陷胸丸
（证附 表阳内陷结胸） 须识结胸项亦强，状如柔痉下无妨，合成丸药惟从缓，葶苈芒硝
与杏黄。
小陷胸汤
（证附 结胸浅证） 痞结胸中近逼心，按之始觉痛难禁，夏能降逆连清热，更用栝蒌润肺金。

（证附 里虚亡阳烦躁）因火逆或烧针导致烦躁产生，桂枝甘草龙骨牡蛎汤组方精妙，阴阳交媾收得奇效，气扰神魂顷刻间得以清静。

（证附 表解而里阳虚）汗下之后躁烦，治疗有方，茯苓擅长祛湿，人参和甘草补培元气，附子和干姜扶助真阳。

Shaoyao (Paeoniae Radix Alba) nourishes Ying (Nutritive) Blood and relieves spasms, while Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma) and Dazao (Jujubae Fructus) specialize in harmonizing the Middle Jiao.
(Yang collapse with fright and mania due to deficiency in the interior) Fire therapy causing excessive sweating leads to Yang collapse, resulting in fright and mania, with the patient restless sitting and lying down. Modified Guizhi formulas can treat this; the method of astringing and calming the Shen (Spirit) is excellent.
Guizhi Qu Shaoyao Jia Shuqi Longgu Muli Tang (Cinnamon Twig Decoction Without White Peony Plus Chinese Tatararoot Rhizome, Dragon Bone and Oyster Shell)
This formula is based on the original decoction of Guizhi, Gancao, Dazao, and Shengjiang, but removing Shaoyao is more appropriate. Adding Shuqi (Radix Bupleuri alternative/Chinese Tatararoot Rhizome), Longgu (Fossilia Ossis Mastodi), and Muli (Concha Ostreae) makes it a miraculous prescription for treating fright and mania.
Guizhi Gancao Longgu Muli Tang (Cinnamon Twig and Licorice Decoction with Dragon Bone and Oyster Shell)
(Attached Syndrome: Irritability due to Yang collapse and interior deficiency) Irritability arises from fire reversal or cauterization. The formulation of Guizhi Gancao Longgu Muli Tang is exquisite; the interaction of Yin and Yang yields remarkable effects, clearing the disturbed Shen instantly.
Fuling Sini Tang (Poria Decoction for Cold Extremities)
(Attached Syndrome: Exterior resolved but interior Yang deficient) Post-sweating or purgation irritability has specific treatments. Fuling (Polyporus) specializes in draining dampness; Renshen (Ginseng Radix) and Gancao tonify primordial Qi; Fuzi (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata) and Ganjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma) support True Yang.
Ganjiang Fuzi Tang (Dried Ginger and Prepared Aconite Decoction)
(Attached Syndrome: Exterior resolved but interior Yang deficient) Improper sweating or purgation fails to cure the disease; irritability occurs during the day while sleep is peaceful at night. With exterior pathogens resolved and no fever in the body, Ganjiang and Fuzi restore Yang through a potent decoction.
(Exterior Yang sinking into interior forming Jie Xiong) Shortness of breath, irritability compounded by frustration, heart pain feeling hard like stone and fullness intolerable, pulse deep and tight with tidal fever—this syndrome is collectively named Da Xian Xiong (Major Trap the Chest).
Da Xian Xiong Tang (Major Trap the Chest Decoction)
Expelling pathogens and cleansing filth relies on Xiaoshi (Natrii Sulfas) and Dahuang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma); driving out water accumulation praises the efficacy of Kansui (Radix Kansui). For diseases of the Trap the Chest, this medicine is suitable, eliminating excess heat is a divine prescription.
Da Xian Xiong Wan (Major Trap the Chest Pill)
(Attached Syndrome: Exterior Yang sinking into interior forming Jie Xiong) One must recognize that Jie Xiong also involves neck stiffness, resembling Rou Ji (Soft Spasm) but downward purging is permissible. Formulated as pills for slow action, Tinglizi (Semen Lepidii), Mangxiao (Natrii Sulfas), Xingren (Semen Armeniacae Amarum), and Dahuang are combined.
Xiao Xian Xiong Tang (Minor Trap the Chest Decoction)
