Vomiting worms accompanied by abdominal pain, or observing white floral patches on the tongue, indicates a condition generated by Kidney Wind and Liver Wood Qi. The appropriate prescription is Wu Mei Wan (Mume Pill) by Zhang Zhongjing.

(Bo An's Note: For women with vaginal itching, wash with a decoction of Cnidium Fruit, dry thoroughly, and apply a powder of Peach Kernel and Realgar internally.)
Accidental poisoning by worm toxins, where eating White Alum results in a sweet taste, indicates that the pathogen has transformed and entered the Qi of the Zang organs. The appropriate prescription is Jing Yan Tu Li Tang (Experience Vomiting-and-Purging Decoction).
Sheng Ma (Rhizoma Cimicifugae, 3 qian), Yu Jin (Radix Curcumae Longae, 3 qian).

Sudden alternation between wakefulness and coma, with alternating chills and fever and an indeterminate facial color, suggests possession by ghosts or spirits. The appropriate prescription is Yi Jing Bian Qi San (Spirit-Transferring Powder).

(Bo An's Note: This section is missing in the Shu edition.)
(Bo An's Note: Volumes One and Two cover exogenous and endogenous miscellaneous diseases. Pathology begins in the physical form, gradually affecting the internal Zang-Fu organs, moving from the exterior to the interior in an orderly sequence. The differentiation of symptoms is concise, and the medication is balanced. In complex cases, providing a comprehensive outline is not easy. Although treatment is not as simple as recorded here, knowing the general principles prevents indiscriminate drug use. However, rigid adherence without flexibility may delay proper diagnosis and treatment. Therefore, one must learn to apply methods flexibly while seeking rational diagnoses, avoiding self-medication whenever possible.)
