(Tuoju, Gangrene of the Foot)相同。
[Formula Song] The condition known as "Bing Xia" (a carbuncle occurring on the back of the hand, named for its resemblance to a shrimp) typically arises on the dorsum of the hand. Its morphology resembles a shrimp, characterized by local redness, swelling, and pain. Internal treatment should employ drugs with heat-clearing and detoxifying properties, while external treatment involves washing the affected area with decoctions. This disease is caused by the accumulation of heat-toxin in the three Yang meridians of the hand.
[Annotation] This syndrome occurs on the dorsum of the hand and is caused by the accumulation of excessive heat-toxin in the three Yang meridians of the hand. Its shape resembles a shrimp, featuring elevated indurations with local redness, swelling, and pain. In the initial stage, it is appropriate to take Huanglian Xiaodu Yin (Coptis Decoction for Disinfecting Toxins). Externally, salt, wine lees, and sesame oil are stir-fried together until fragrant, then steeped in boiling water to extract the liquid, which is poured over the affected area for washing; this can lead to resolution. If the elevated induration does not subside, Chansu Bing (Toad Venom Cake) should be applied topically, covered with Bagao (Ba Paste), to facilitate the discharge of necrotic tissue and elimination of the induration. Subsequently, Shengji San (Tissue-Regenerating Powder) should be applied, still covered with paste to promote wound contraction and healing.
Formulas: Huanglian Xiaodu Yin (See section on Baihui Ju); Chansu Bing (Toad Venom Pills made into cakes; See section on Ding Chuang); Bagao and Shengji San (Both see section on Kuiyang).
[Formula Song] Shouya Fa (Carbuncle arising in the interdigital spaces) occurs in the gaps between the metacarpal bones. Its etiology stems from the condensation of damp-fire in the Spleen Meridian. Initially appearing like millet grains, it gradually enlarges to the size of beans, accompanied by burning heat and pain. Both internal and external treatments follow the protocols for Ding Syndrome (Carbuncle/Boil).
[Annotation] This syndrome arises in the interdigital spaces between the metacarpal bones. Except for cases involving the Hegu acupoint near the thumb, any lesion occurring in the other interdigital spaces is termed Shouya Fa. It originates from the condensation of damp-fire in the Spleen Meridian. Initially, it appears red and small like millet, gradually enlarging to the size of a bean, with local burning heat and pain. If pain persists after ulceration, one must wait for the purulent plug to discharge before the pain ceases. Both internal and external treatments adhere to the protocols outlined in the Ding Syndrome section.
[Formula Song] Diao Ju (A carbuncle on the thumb) arises from accumulated heat in the Lung Meridian. Initially resembling millet, it swells to the size of a plum, presenting with cyanosis and pain. Puncture on the sixth day yielding pus and fresh blood indicates a favorable prognosis; blackening and spreading necrosis portends the ominous sign of finger amputation.
[Annotation] This syndrome occurs on the thumb and is caused by accumulated heat in the Lung Meridian. Initially, it is small like millet or beans, gradually swelling to the size of a plum, presenting with cyanosis, numbness, and intense itching and pain penetrating to the heart. If punctured on the sixth day, the discharge of thick pus and fresh blood is auspicious, whereas the discharge of black blood indicates danger. Initially, Mailing Dan (Mailing Pill) is administered to induce sweating, followed by Xianfang Huoming Yin (Immortal Formula for Saving Lives), with Baidingzi (White Stick Paste) applied externally. All other internal and external treatments follow those for Zhongyang (Swelling and Ulceration) and Kuiyang sections. If black necrosis spreads without pain, it is termed "Duan Zhi" (Finger Amputation/Gangrene), which is classified as Ni Zheng (Adverse Prognosis). The treatment method is identical to that for Tuoju (Gangrene of the Foot).
Formulas: Mailing Dan, Xianfang Huoming Yin, Baidingzi (All see section on Zhongyang).
