流,再撒。若药痂过厚拘痛者,以生肌玉红膏涂伤处;

[Formula Song] For metal wounds, one must examine the injury marks: light injuries affect skin and flesh, while severe injuries damage tendons. Apply Rusheng Taohua San (Holy Peach Powder) externally; if bleeding is profuse, use Bazhen Tang (Eight-Treasure Decoction) or Dushen Tang (Single-Ginseng Decoction).
[Note] This condition includes injuries from knives, arrowheads, and sharp ceramics. One must inspect the depth of the wound: for light injuries where skin and flesh are broken and blood flows incessantly, apply Taohua San (Peach Powder); for severe injuries where tendons are severed and blood spurts, indicating damage to major vessels, apply Rusheng Jindao San (Holy Knife Powder), bind tightly with silk cloth to stop bleeding, and reapply if bleeding resumes. If the medicinal scab is too thick causing stiffness and pain, apply Shengji Yuhong Gao (Flesh-Regenerating Jade Red Ointment) to the wound; cover externally with Tuoseng Gao (Pottery Monk Ointment) to promote tendon regeneration, relieve pain, and generate flesh. Regardless of the severity or bleeding, initially administer Sanhuang Baola Wan (Three-Yellows Precious Wax Pill); for minor bleeding from broken skin, administer Lidong Wan (Lidong Pill); if bleeding is excessive, presenting with sallow complexion and dark eyes, do not focus solely on expelling blood stasis, but use Bazhen Tang (Eight-Treasure Decoction); in severe cases, use Dushen Tang (Single-Ginseng Decoction) first to consolidate the root. Both formulas should be supplemented with Sumu (Daemonorops Draconis) and Honghua (Carthamus Tinctorius) to regulate blood stasis. Although this condition involves sudden trauma to healthy tissue, life and death can be determined by pulse diagnosis and observation of signs and symptoms. If excessive blood loss occurs, a void, fine, deep, small, and moderate pulse indicates survival, whereas a floating, surging, rapid, large, excess, or void-rapid pulse indicates death. Injury penetrating the lungs results in death within fourteen days; injury to the internal organs under the left hypochondrium, complete severance of the intestines, injury to the internal organs in the lower abdomen, multiple injury sites, crushing of the left thigh in the elderly, injury to the genitalia, and penetration through the shoulder interior or behind the ear all result in death. Injuries to Tiancong acupoint and brow corners, pulsing vessels in the back of the head and inner arms, inner thighs and groin, above and below both breasts, Jiwei point below the heart, and the Shu points of the Zang and Fu organs all result in death. Extrusion of marrow from the back of the head accompanied by inability to speak, fixed gaze, bubbling sounds in the throat, urgent salivation, and random raising of both hands also indicate death. In cases where abdominal skin is broken and intestines protrude, if only half of the intestine is injured, it is treatable. First, boil millet porridge, take the thick decoction, and wash the intestines with warm liquid. Use mulberry bark tips as thread, dip in Huarui Shi San (Flower Porphyry Stone Powder), and suture the intestinal wound. Immediately apply fresh rooster comb blood to the suture site, then coat the intestine with clarified oil to keep it moist, and gently return the intestine into the abdominal cavity. Externally, use human long hair to densely suture the inner flesh of the abdominal wound, leave the outer skin exposed, apply Yuebai Zhenzhu San (Moon-White Pearl Powder), and wait for flesh regeneration and wound closure. If the wound is too large for external suturing, protect and cover with Tuoseng Gao (Pottery Monk Ointment), wait for spontaneous suppuration, and then treat according to the methods for ulcerative diseases. After suturing, avoid shock and laughter; drink rice water in small amounts, gradually increasing the quantity. After twenty days, consume thick porridge and recover through conditioning.
