Lower Section: Internal Treatment of Miscellaneous Conditions
Classification: Bone Injury Pain
Attributes: [1] Among injury syndromes, pain caused by bone injury is considered a mild case. If the injury is severe, resulting in fracture or comminution, manual manipulation therapy is required; these methods are detailed in previous chapters.
[2] This refers to minor trauma from bumping or knocking, causing pain within the bone interstices while the skin color remains unchanged. External application of Scallion Moxibustion (Cong Wei Fa) is appropriate, accompanied by internal administration of Myrrha Pill (Moyao Wan), and self-healing can be achieved by taking Rehmannia Pill (Dihuang Wan) during the day.
Note, Formulas: [1] Myrrha Pill (Moyao Pill)
Myrrha (Resina Olibani Preparata, removed of oil) [Commiphorae Resina], Frankincense (Resina Olibani Preparata, removed of oil) [Olibanum], Szechuan Lovage Rhizome [Chuanxiong Rhizoma], Sichuan Pepper [Zanthoxyli Pericarpium] (remove closed ends and eyes), Peony Root [Paeoniae Radix], Angelica Sinensis Root [Angelicae Sinensis Radix], each half tael; Natural Pyrite [Pyritum] (calcined seven times and quenched in water) two qian and half.
Grind the above into fine powder. Melt two taels of yellow beeswax, mix with the powder evenly, and form pills the size of bullet seeds. Take one pill per dose, dissolve in one cup of wine, simmer until warm, and take hot.
