The *Zhubing Yuanhou Lun* (Treatise on the Pathogenesis and Symptoms of All Diseases) states: Individuals with weak stomach qi who consume raw fish may have their digestion hindered by cold pathogenic factors, leading to the formation of a "fish jia" (a mass caused by undigested food), which presents as a palpable lump upon touch.
The *Yangsheng Fang* (Prescriptions for Nourishing Life) states: Consuming raw fish slices made from fish with red eyes can generate a jia.
The *Xinlu Fang* (Newly Recorded Prescriptions) provides a prescription for treating "fish jia," where one eats raw fish that is not digested, drinks lake water, and accidentally swallows small fish that subsequently grow inside the body:
Burn quince (Chaenomeles speciosa) over charcoal until it turns to ash. Take one fangcun bi (an ancient measuring vessel containing approximately one cubic inch of powder) mixed in soup or wine, twice daily.
Another prescription: Burn fish scales into ash. Take one fangcun bi mixed in soup or water, twice daily.
Another prescription: Burn an old fishing net into ash. Take one fangcun bi mixed in water, twice daily.
Another prescription: Drink one sheng (approx. 200 ml) of white horse urine.
Another prescription: Decoct orange peel (Chenpi) in water and drink it.
Another prescription: Take one fangcun bi of powdered orange peel with soybean paste juice, three times daily.
The *Ge Shi Fang* (Prescriptions by Ge Hong) provides a prescription for cases where eating fish slices or raw meat causes stagnation in the chest and epigastrium without digestion:
Natrii Sulfas (Piao Xiao), size of half a chicken egg (one piece); Rhizoma et Radix Rhei (Dahuang), one liang.
Take these two ingredients, decoct them in two sheng of wine until reduced to one and a half sheng, and consume the entire amount.
The *Zhubing Yuanhou Lun* states: Patients who constantly crave meat, and after obtaining it, continue to crave it further, are suffering from "meat jia."
The *Qianjin Fang* (Essential Prescriptions Worth a Thousand Gold) provides a prescription for treating meat jia, characterized by incessant craving for meat and re-craving after eating:
Drink three sheng of white horse urine on an empty stomach to induce vomiting and expel the meat.
The *Xinlu Fang* provides a prescription for treating meat jia:
Take one bi of powdered yellow soybeans (Da Dou Huang) with water, twice daily.
Another prescription: Drink one sheng of thick soybean paste juice, twice daily.
Another prescription: Decoct Chinese cabbage (Song Cai) and drink the concentrated juice.
The *Zhubing Yuanhou Lun* states: When hair is accidentally ingested with food, it can form a pathological accumulation known as "hair jia." The sensation is similar to insects moving up and down in the chest and throat.
The *Guangji Fang* provides a prescription for treating hair jia, specifically for patients who only desire to drink oil:
Take one sheng of oil, boil it with fragrant hair pomade (Xiang Ze). Place the large bowl near the patient's head. Allow the patient's nose and mouth to be close to the oil surface, but prevent them from drinking it or applying it to the face. Let the aroma...

forms the disease.)
It also states: For those feeling a jia worm in the chest and throat, if they smell the fragrance of scallion and fermented soybean paste from above or below, this indicates the presence of hair worms. Boil scallions and fermented soybeans in oil and place them near the mouth. Perform the procedure for two days.
The *Xinlu Fang* provides a prescription for treating hair jia, characterized by chest fullness and vomiting immediately after eating:
Boil pig lard (Zhu Zhi) two sheng and wine two sheng until boiling three times. Take one sheng per dose, twice daily, to induce vomiting; stop when the hair jia is expelled.
Another prescription: Drink eight he of white horse urine, once daily. Stop when cured. Hair jia causes vomiting after eating, whereas other types of jia do not. (The above is consistent with the *Qianjin Fang*.)
