At the Beginning of Spring, Tianliu (Heavenly Stay) is located in the Gen Palace (Northeast). On Wuyin and Jichou days, seek it on the left foot (avoid). At the Spring Equinox, Cangmen (Warehouse Gate) is located on the left hypochondrium, corresponding to the Zhen Palace (East). If encountered on Yimao day, it is designated as a taboo. The five zang organs, six fu organs, and umbilical abdomen correspond to the Zhongzhou (Central Earth) on Zhao Yao and other Wu-Ji days. When treating ulcers and carbuncles, one must avoid these days; violating these heavenly taboos makes the disease difficult to cure.

(One verse: Ancient method of Kaoshen [Sacrum Spirit], starting from the natal palace in the first year, adding to Chen in the second year, flying through the Nine Palaces annually.)

The Central Palace corresponds to the shoulder and sacrum; the Qian Palace's back cannot cover the face and eyes (avoid). The Dui Palace's arms are difficult to treat with Bian stones or moxibustion; the Gen Palace's neck and waist should not have moxa applied; the Li Palace's knees and ribs are hard to needle; the Kan Palace's elbows belong to the stomach and legs (avoid).

Forbidden acupuncture points must be known first: Naohu, Xinhui, and Shenting; Luoque, Yuwan (likely typo for Yupzhen/Yuzhen in original text, but translated as written), Jiaosun; Lufeng, Chengqi following Chengling; Shendao, Lingtai, and Danzhong are forbidden. Shuifen, Shenguan (likely Shenque/Guan yuan), and Huiyin. Henggu, Qichong, Shouwuli, Jimen, Chengjin, and Qingling. Plus Sanyangluo on the arm, totaling twenty-two points that must not be needled. Pregnant women should not needle Hegu; Sanyinjiao also follows this rule. Stone Gate (Shimen) acupuncture/moxibustion must be avoided; if women needle Shimen, they will never conceive. Additionally, Yunmen and Jiutail; Quepen and Kerenman should not be deep. Deep needling of Jianjing causes fainting; urgent tonification of Zusanli restores calmness.
