（其性）微寒，主治消渴病，伤寒引起的寒热往来，破除石淋及筋脉拘挛转急，通利小便，止住遗尿，消除瘢痕。
主治下血闭阻。
（其味）酸甘，性平。主治内伤，消渴，小便频数且不能控制，肠鸣腹泻，具有补益作用。
主治小儿消瘦，饮食后肌肉不生。
主治清除火热疮毒，癫痫痉挛，可制作成类似虎魄的神物。
（其性）微寒，治疗眼睛红肿热痛，清除心下伏热，止住烦闷胀满、咳嗽气逆，小儿腹泻，妇人难产，胎盘不下。用醋浸渍一夜，治疗黄疸，破除严重烦热。
主治久咳伴有气结，配合麻黄、紫菀一起服用，立即痊愈。鸡白蠹的肥脂，产于朝鲜平泽。
主治突然耳聋，用于滴耳。

名为通，主治杀灭石药毒，解开结缚，疏散蓄积的热邪。
（其味）甘，平，无毒。主治风挛，拘急偏枯，气机不通利。长期服用可使毛发眉毛生长，益气不饥，身体轻便耐老。又名肪，产于江南池泽，随时可取。
（其味）甘，温，无毒。主治岭南野葛菌毒、生金毒，以及温瘴病久治欲死无法痊愈者，配合毛发熬制后用酒浸服，生捣取汁服用效果最好。产于江南，形状像母鸡，叫声如钩格磔磔的是这种。
（其味）酸，微寒，无毒。主治补中气，益体力，止泻痢，去除蚁疾。
（其味）酸，温，无毒。主治降气，男子阳痿不起，增强性功能使其精液增多，有助于生育。
主治耳聋。
主治雀盲（夜盲症）。
(Temperature) Slightly cold. It mainly treats polydipsia (Xiao Ke), chills and fever caused by Shanghan (Cold Damage), breaks shi lin (lithuria) and muscle spasms, promotes urination, stops enuresis, and eliminates scars.
It mainly treats bi syndrome caused by wind-cold-dampness, the five slackness and six urgency conditions, and calms the fetus.
Non-toxic. It mainly treats abdominal pain due to Zhong E (sudden evil invasion) and fractures, joint pain, and difficulty in lactation.

(Taste) Sour and sweet, neutral temperature. It mainly treats internal injury, polydipsia, frequent urination with incontinence, intestinal borborygmus and diarrhea, and has tonifying effects.

(Taste) Sweet, neutral, non-toxic. It treats wind-induced spasms, stiffness, hemiplegia, and obstructed qi flow. Long-term consumption promotes the growth of hair, eyebrows, and beard, benefits Qi, prevents hunger, lightens the body, and enhances longevity. Also known as Fang, produced in the ponds and marshes of Jiangnan, available at any time.
(Taste) Sweet, warm, non-toxic. It treats Ye Ge Jun Du (wild gecko mushroom poison), Sheng Jin Du (raw metal poison), and Wen Zhang (warm miasma) where the patient is near death and cannot recover. Mixed with wool, roasted, soaked in wine, and taken orally; taking fresh juice by crushing raw is best. Produced in Jiangnan, resembling a hen, with a cry like "gou ge zhe zhe" is this one.
