【祛毒牛黄丸】治大人小儿咽喉肿痛。舌本强硬。口内生疮。涎潮喘急。胸膈不利。不欲

【朱砂膏】治镇心、安神、解热。又虚损、嗽血等疾。
金箔（二钱半） 朱砂（研） 真珠末 生犀
人参 甘草（炙） 玳瑁（各一两） 牛黄

远志 西琥珀 安息香（酒煮。研） 赤茯苓（去皮。各半两）

上为末。炼蜜破苏合油和剂为小铤子。更以金箔为衣。瓷盒内密封。每服一皂角子大。食后噙
化。卫尉叶承得效。并阿胶丸相杂。服此药活血安神。更胜如至宝丹。每两作五铤子。
【碧玉散】治心肺积热。上攻咽喉。肿痛闭塞。水浆不下。或喉痹、重舌、木舌、肿胀。
可服。
青黛 盆硝 蒲黄 甘草（各等分）
上为末和匀。每用少许。干糁于咽喉内。细细咽津。绵裹噙化亦得。若作丸。用砂糖和丸。每两
作五十丸。
每服一丸。噙化咽津亦得。
【发声散】治咽痛不妨咽物。咽物则微痛。不宜用寒凉药过泄之。此妨闷明热也。
栝蒌（一个） 白僵蚕（半两。炒） 桔梗（新白者七钱半。炒） 甘草（二钱。炒）
上为末。每用少许。干糁咽喉中。若大肿痛。左右有红。或只一壁红紫长大。而水米不下。用
此药一钱、朴硝一钱匕和匀。干糁、喉中。咽津。如喉中生赤肿。或有小白头疮。用此药一钱匕。
白矾半钱。细研如粉和匀。干糁之。
【玄参散】治悬痈肿痛不可食。
玄参（一两） 升麻 射干 大黄（各半两）
甘草（二钱半）
上为末。每服三钱。水一盏半。煎至八分。放温。时时含咽。良验。
【增损如圣汤】治风热上攻。冲会厌。语声不出。咽喉妨闷肿痛。并皆治之。
桔梗（二两） 甘草（炙。一两半） 防风（半两） 枳壳（汤浸去穣。二钱半）
上为末。每服三钱。水一大盏。煎至七分。去渣。入酥如枣许。搅匀。温服食后。
【二奇汤】治感寒语声不出。
桔梗（三两。蜜拌甑蒸） 甘草（二两。半生半炒） 诃子（大者四个。去核。两个炮。两
个生）
上为末。每服十钱匕。入砂糖一小块。水五盏。煎至三盏。时时细呷。一日服尽。其声速出。
【玉粉丸】治冬月寒痰结。咽喉不利。语音不出。针经云。寒气客于会厌。卒然如哑。宜
服玉粉丸。
桂（一字） 草乌（一字。炒） 半夏（洗。五钱）
上为末。生姜自然汁浸。蒸饼为丸鸡头大。每服一丸。至夜含化。多年不愈者亦效。
【开关散】治缠喉风气息不通。
白僵蚕（直者。炒去丝嘴） 枯白矾（各等分）
上二味。为末。每服三钱。生姜蜜水一盏调下。细细服之。不拘时候。
【备急如圣散】治时气缠喉风。渐入咽喉。闭塞。水谷不下。牙关紧急。不省人事。
雄黄（研。生用） 白矾（飞） 藜芦（浓者。去皮用仁。生用）
猪牙皂角（去皮弦。各等分）
上四味为末。每用一豆大。鼻内 之。立见效。
【解毒雄黄丸】治缠喉风及急喉痹。
郁金 雄黄（各一两） 巴豆（去。皮膜。研出油。十四枚）
上为末。醋糊为丸绿豆大。用热茶清下七丸。吐出顽涎。立便苏省。未吐再服。
【龙麝聚圣丹】治疗心脾部位有客居之热。毒气上冲。导致咽喉红肿疼痛。或者形成喉痹。或者结成硬块不消散。好了又复发。经久不能痊愈。或者舌根肿胀。满口生疮。饮食难以吞咽。以上情况都适用此药。

如果细细咀嚼并含在口中慢慢化开，让津液一起咽下也可以。饭后及睡前服用。
【祛毒牛黄丸】治疗大人和小孩咽喉肿痛。舌根僵硬强硬。口中内生疮疡。涎水涌潮气喘急促。胸膈部感觉不畅快。不想吃东西。
人参 犀角（取粉末） 南琥珀（研磨） 桔梗
生地黄（以能沉入水中的为佳） 南硼砂（各半两） 牛黄（研磨，三钱半） 雄黄（一两，水飞处理）
南玄参 升麻（各三钱） 蛤粉（四两，水飞处理） 朱砂（研磨，七钱）
脑子 铅白霜（各一钱） 寒水石（烧制，去除火毒，二两）
以上药物研成细末，搅拌均匀。用炼蜜制成如小弹子大小的丸药。用金箔包裹外衣。存放在瓷器内。每次服用一丸。用浓煎的薄荷汤化开送服。或者用新汲取的冷水化开服下也可以。饭后服用，每天进服三次。含在口中慢慢化开也可以。
【朱砂膏】治疗镇定心神、安神、解热。又治疗虚损、咳嗽咯血等疾病。
金箔（二钱半） 朱砂（研磨） 真珠末 生犀
人参 甘草（炙烤） 玳瑁（各一两） 牛黄
麝香 龙脑 南硼砂 羚羊角
远志 西琥珀 安息香（酒煮后研磨） 赤茯苓（去皮，各半两）
苏合油（调和药物也可以） 铁粉（各一分）
以上药物研成粉末。用炼蜜打破苏合油调和制成小条状。再用金箔包裹外衣。密封在瓷盒内。每次服用如皂角子大小的一块。饭后含在口中慢慢化开。卫尉叶承服用有效。并与阿胶丸混合服用。服用此药活血安神，效果胜过至宝丹。每两药粉做成五个小条。
【碧玉散】治疗心肺积热。向上攻冲咽喉。导致肿痛闭塞。连水和米汤都喝不下。或者喉痹、重舌、木舌、肿胀。可以服用此药。
青黛 盆硝 蒲黄 甘草（各等分）
以上药物研成粉末混合均匀。每次取少许，干撒在咽喉内部。细细吞咽津液。用棉布包裹含在口中化开也可以。如果做成丸药，用砂糖和丸。每两药粉做成五十丸。
每次服用一丸。含在口中化开，让津液咽下也可以。
【发声散】治疗咽痛但不妨碍吞咽食物。吞咽时只有轻微疼痛。不宜使用寒凉药物过度泻下。这是妨闷且明热所致。
栝蒌（一个） 白僵蚕（半两，炒制） 桔梗（新白的七钱半，炒制） 甘草（二钱，炒制）
以上药物研成粉末。每次取少许，干撒在咽喉中。如果肿痛严重，左右两侧发红，或者只有一侧红紫肿大，而水米无法下咽，用此药一钱、朴硝一钱匕混合均匀，干撒在喉中，吞咽津液。如果喉中生有赤肿，或者有小白头疮，用此药一钱匕，白矾半钱，细细研磨如粉混合均匀，干撒在上面。
【玄参散】治疗悬痈肿痛导致无法进食。
玄参（一两） 升麻 射干 大黄（各半两）
甘草（二钱半）
以上药物研成粉末。每次服用三钱。用水一盏半，煎煮至八分。放温后，时时含在口中咽下。疗效很好。
【增损如圣汤】治疗风热向上攻冲，冲击会厌。导致声音发不出。咽喉妨闷肿痛。以上情况都治疗。
桔梗（二两） 甘草（炙烤，一两半） 防风（半两） 枳壳（汤浸去瓤，二钱半）
以上药物研成粉末。每次服用三钱。用水一大盏，煎煮至七分。去掉药渣。加入如枣许大小的酥油。搅拌均匀。饭后温服。
【二奇汤】治疗感受寒气导致声音发不出。
桔梗（三两，蜜拌蒸制） 甘草（二两，一半生用一半炒制） 诃子（大的四个，去核，两个炮制，两个生用）
以上药物研成粉末。每次服用十钱匕。加入一小块砂糖。用水五盏，煎煮至三盏。时时细细呷饮。一天服完。声音很快就能发出。
【玉粉丸】治疗冬季寒痰凝结。咽喉不利。语音发不出。《针经》说：寒气客居于会厌。突然像哑巴一样。适宜服用玉粉丸。
桂（一字量） 草乌（一字量，炒制） 半夏（洗，五钱）
以上药物研成粉末。用生姜自然汁浸泡。用蒸饼做成如鸡头大小的丸药。每次服用一丸。到晚上含在口中化开。多年不愈的也有效。
【开关散】治疗缠喉风气息不通。
白僵蚕（直的，炒去丝嘴） 枯白矾（各等分）
以上两味药，研成粉末。每次服用三钱。用生姜蜜水一盏调服。细细服用。不拘泥于时间。
【备急如圣散】治疗时气缠喉风。逐渐进入咽喉。闭塞。水谷无法下咽。牙关紧急。不省人事。
雄黄（研磨，生用） 白矾（水飞） 藜芦（浓者，去皮用仁，生用）
猪牙皂角（去皮弦，各等分）
以上四味药研成粉末。每次取如豆大的一粒，吹入鼻内。立即见效。
【解毒雄黄丸】治疗缠喉风及急喉痹。
郁金 雄黄（各一两） 巴豆（去皮膜，研磨出油，十四枚）
以上药物研成粉末。用醋糊做成如绿豆大小的丸药。用热茶清送服七丸。吐出顽痰。立即苏醒。未吐出可再服。
Longshe Jusheng Dan (Dragon and Musk Gathering the Holy Pill) treats guest-heat in the Heart and Spleen. Toxic vapors attack upward, causing redness, swelling, and pain in the throat, or forming Hou Bi (throat obstruction), or forming hard lumps that do not dissipate. The condition recurs after healing and persists for a long time without recovery. It may also cause swelling of the tongue root, sores throughout the mouth, and difficulty swallowing food and drink. This formula is applicable to all such conditions.

The above eighteen ingredients are powdered. Honey is refined and used to make pills. Each liang of powder makes ten pills. Fifty pieces of Jinbo Gold Leaf are used as coating. Take one pill per dose. Dissolve in Bohe Tang (Mint Decoction) or fresh cold water. Alternatively, chew thoroughly and hold in the mouth to dissolve slowly, swallowing the saliva. Take after meals and before bed.
Qudu Niuhuang Wan (Toxin-Expelling Cow Gallstone Pill) treats adults and children suffering from sore throat, swelling, stiffness of the tongue root, oral sores, excessive salivation with wheezing, chest and diaphragm discomfort, and loss of appetite.

The above are finely powdered and mixed evenly. Refined honey is used to make pills the size of small marbles. Coat with gold leaf. Store in porcelain containers. Take one pill per dose. Dissolve in strong mint decoction or fresh cold water. Take after meals, three times daily. Holding in the mouth to dissolve slowly is also acceptable.
Zhusha Gao (Cinnabar Ointment/Paste) treats calming the Heart, soothing the Spirit, and clearing heat. It also treats deficiency consumptive diseases and coughing blood.

The above are powdered. Refined honey is broken up with Suhe Oil and mixed into small bars. Coat with gold leaf. Seal tightly in porcelain boxes. Take an amount the size of a soap bean after meals, holding it in the mouth to dissolve slowly. Weiwei Ye Cheng found this effective. It can be taken together with Ejiao Wan. This medication invigorates blood and calms the Spirit, surpassing Zhibao Dan. Each liang of powder makes five bars.
Bi Yu San (Jasper Powder) treats accumulated heat in the Heart and Lungs attacking the throat upward, causing swelling, pain, and blockage where even fluids cannot pass. It is suitable for Hou Bi (throat obstruction), Chong She (double tongue), Mu She (wooden tongue), and swelling.
Qingdai Indigo Naturalis Penxiao Basin Nitre Puhuang Pollen Typhae Gancao Radix Glycyrrhizae (equal parts)
The above are powdered and mixed evenly. Use a small amount, dry-dusting it into the throat. Swallow saliva slowly. Wrapping in cotton and holding in the mouth to dissolve is also acceptable. If made into pills, mix with rock sugar. Each liang of powder makes fifty pills. Take one pill per dose, holding in the mouth to dissolve and swallow saliva.
Fasheng San (Voice-Issuing Powder) treats sore throat that does not hinder swallowing, but causes slight pain when swallowing. Do not use overly purgative cold-natured medicines. This is due to obstructive heat.
Gualou Fruit Trichosanthis Kirilowii Bai Jiangcan Bombyx Batryticatus (half liang, stir-fried) Jiegeng Radix Platycodi (new white ones, 7.5 qian, stir-fried) Gancao Radix Glycyrrhizae (2 qian, stir-fried)
The above are powdered. Use a small amount, dry-dusting it into the throat. If swelling and pain are severe, with redness on both sides or only one side red, purple, and enlarged, preventing intake of water and grain, mix one qian of this powder with one qian-bi of Pu Xiao (Mirabilite). Dry-dust into the throat and swallow saliva. If there are red swellings or small white-headed sores in the throat, mix one qian-bi of this powder with half a qian of Bai Fan (Alumen). Grind finely like powder, mix evenly, and dry-dust.
Xuanshen San (Scrophularia Powder) treats Xuan Yong (suspended abscess) with swelling and pain preventing eating.
Xuanshen Radix Scrophulariae (1 liang) Shengma Rhizoma Cimicifugae Sheye Rhizoma Belamcandae Dahuang Radix et Rhizoma Rhei (each half liang) Gancao Radix Glycyrrhizae (2.5 qian)
The above are powdered. Take 3 qian per dose. Add one and a half cups of water, decoct until eight-tenths remain. Let cool to warm. Hold in the mouth and swallow frequently. Highly effective.
Zengsun Rusheng Tang (Modified Like-Sage Decoction) treats Wind-Heat attacking upward, striking the epiglottis, resulting in inability to speak, and throat obstruction, stuffiness, swelling, and pain. Treats all these conditions.
Jiegeng Radix Platycodi (2 liang) Gancao Radix Glycyrrhizae (roasted, 1.5 liang) Fangfeng Radix Saposhnikoviae (half liang) Zhike Fructus Aurantii (steeped in water, pith removed, 2.5 qian)
The above are powdered. Take 3 qian per dose. Add one large cup of water, decoct until seven-tenths remain. Strain. Add butter the size of a jujube. Mix well. Take warm after meals.
Erqi Tang (Two Wonders Decoction) treats inability to speak due to Cold invasion.
Jiegeng Radix Platycodi (3 liang, steamed with honey) Gancao Radix Glycyrrhizae (2 liang, half raw, half stir-fried) Hezi Fructus Chebulae (four large ones, pits removed; two roasted, two raw)
The above are powdered. Take ten qian-bi per dose. Add a small piece of rock sugar. Add five cups of water, decoct until three cups remain. Sip slowly frequently. Finish within one day. Voice returns quickly.
Yufen Wan (Jade Powder Pill) treats cold-phlegm accumulation in winter causing throat dysfunction and inability to speak. The *Zhen Jing* (Classic of Acupuncture) states: "Cold pathogen lodges in the epiglottis, suddenly causing muteness." It is appropriate to take Yufen Wan.
Gui Cinnamon Twig (one character weight) Caowu Aconitum Carmichaelii Deaux Root (one character weight, stir-fried) Banxia Rhizoma Pinelliae (washed, 5 qian)
The above are powdered. Soak in fresh ginger juice. Make pills using steamed bread dough, the size of a cock's head. Take one pill per dose. Hold in the mouth to dissolve at night. Effective even for chronic cases lasting years.
Kaiguan San (Opening Switch Powder) treats Chan Hou Feng (Choked Throat Wind) with blocked breathing.
Bai Jiangcan Bombyx Batryticatus (straight ones, stir-fried to remove silk and heads) Ku Baifan Alum (equal parts)
The above two ingredients are powdered. Take 3 qian per dose. Mix with one cup of ginger-honey water. Take slowly. No specific timing required.
Beiji Rusheng San (Emergency Like-Sage Powder) treats epidemic Chan Hou Feng gradually entering the throat, causing blockage, inability to swallow water and grain, locked jaw, and unconsciousness.
Xionghuang Realgar (ground, raw) Baifan Alum (levigated) Lilu Veratrum (thick ones, peeled, kernel used, raw) Zhuya Zaojiao Fructus Gleditsiae Sinensis (skin and strings removed, equal parts)
The above four ingredients are powdered. Take an amount the size of a bean. Blow into the nose. Immediate effect.
Jiedu Xionghuang Wan (Toxin-Resolving Realgar Pill) treats Chan Hou Feng and Ji Hou Bi (Acute Throat Obstruction).
Yujin Curcumae Radix Xionghuang Realgar (each 1 liang) Badou Crotonis Fructus (remove skin and membrane, grind to extract oil, 14 seeds)
The above are powdered. Make pills using vinegar paste, the size of mung beans. Take seven pills with hot tea. Expel stubborn phlegm. Immediate revival. If vomiting does not occur, take again.
