忍冬叶生啖之愈，或浓煎汁饮之。
崇宁间苏州天平山白云寺五僧行山间，得蕈一丛，甚大，摘而食之，发吐。三人急
探鸳鸯草生啖食之即愈，二人不甚吐至死。此草蔓藤而生，对开黄花白花，傍水根据山，
俗谓金银，又名鹭 花，其根名老人须，《本草》名忍冬，以其能逐风寒湿热也。
汉防己煎汤饮之，有用雄黄疮上搽，或以薰疮。阴囊受毒者，防已煎汤洗数次愈。
蓝子研水服解。
白米粥可解。
交广俚人以焦铜作箭，中人破皮即死。粪清饮之立解，患处以粪清洗之涂之。
凡解一切药毒，荠葱汁、白 豆汁、绿豆汁、甘草汁、饧糖汁，米糖汁、蚕蜕纸烧灰
随便用之俱能解。
凡解毒药汤剂不可热服，宜凉饮之。盖毒得热而势愈盛也。
香油饮之一碗无妨，葛根汤洗伤处，绵拭干，香油涂之，以青布作条燃火入竹
筒中，放烟薰伤处，口渴者，
砂糖调水饮之。
《儒门事亲》云∶一人为犬啮，足胫肿如罐，坚如柱石，毒瓦斯入腹，呕不下食，头痛
而重，发热憎寒。戴人治以舟车丸百粒，通经散二钱，服至半时，利十余行，肿消病势
稍减，直候其流恶水五六日，方贴膏药，敷生肌散而愈。呜呼！凡畜伤人手足，毒入
经络，病证若是，仓卒遇之，不知治者，受害而死，岂细故云。
（子和）舟车丸（见水肿门） 治犬咬伤，不可便贴膏药及生肌类，闭毒于也。当先
用舟车丸、禹功散、通经散等药，随便服，利十余次肿减痛止后，方敷贴。木香槟榔丸、
搜风顺气丸、神芎丸俱可下。
（《宝鉴》）定风散 治诸犬伤毒。
南星（生用） 防风（各等分）
共为末。凡被犬咬，先以口含浆水洗伤处，或小便、盐汤俱可洗净，用棉拭干，方上二
药末。不发。若以制过南星，内可服一二钱，用童便调下，亦可治伤风。
凡治犬咬伤，遇仓卒无药处，即以小便洗净，百草霜、香麻油调敷，或以葱捣烂
贴之，牛粪敷之，蚯蚓粪敷之，口嚼杏仁烂敷之，皆能急救。如少延缓则毒瓦斯傅入经络，卒
费调治。
糯米散
大斑蝥（二十一个）去头足翅，用糯米一撮，先将猫七个入米内慢火炒，勿令焦，去猫
再入七个炒，令焦色变俱去之，又入七个炒米色出赤烟为度，去猫不用，只将米研为末，冷
水入香油少许，空心调服，须臾，又进一服，以二便利下恶物为度。若腹痛急以青靛调凉水
解之，或先用黄连、甘草煎汤待冷服之，不可食热物。
又凉水调益元散甚妙。甚者终身禁食犬肉，每见食犬肉而复作者，不救。又见世人每
用斑蝥服而死者有之。
盖斑蝥毒之尤者，虽以毒而攻毒，惟少用之，兹用炒米以夺气，犹备青靛、黄连解
其剽悍，而况单服斑蝥，
岂有不死？予族兄廪生徐学儒，天资明敏又好医。一日乃子被风犬所咬，病热颇大，即
用斑蝥七枚糯米同炒，不用米只用猫，顿与子服，须臾大呻吟，谓腹中如刀切，急以
药解之，弗及，不超时而死。族兄惟见医方云云，不察毒药之悍性，岂能顿服七枚？
古之医方传讹不觉，今世方书每每去米以猫顿服传论，而惟《医林集要》一方去猫用米，
予故表而出之，以证方书之谬。又如小儿方每以一药兼治急慢惊风，如催生兔脑丸，谓
生儿出手尚握药，殊不知急慢惊风为虚实二证，小儿在腹，胞膈不通，惟药入胃集气通经，岂
有丸药握手之理？方书传录讹以传讹，君子当准之以理，贵乎有格致之功，方书讵可尽信？
孟子所谓尽信书则不如无书，诚哉言也。
一方∶治风犬伤人，急于无风处，嗍去疮口恶血。如或无血，则以针刺血，小便洗
净，得真虎骨酥油炙为末敷，干者，酥油调上或用香油调雄黄少加麝香敷。
一方∶用 汁加姜汁和之，空心服，当下恶物如葡萄肉为验。
一方∶白芷、蝉蜕等分二钱酒调服，疮口当出黄水为度。
一方∶治犬伤处肉肿色黄烂，蓖麻子去壳五十粒，用水研为膏，先以盐汤洗疮口，次
数上此药。人咬伤亦以此方治之。
一方∶米泔水洗净砂糖敷之。
一方∶杏仁炒黑捣成膏贴之。
一方∶拔去病患顶上红发，再以艾灸伤处三五壮愈。
辟犬法《琐碎录》云∶凡行道遇恶犬，即以左手大拇指掐自寅上起吹气一口，轮至
戍上掐之，犬即退伏。
一方∶治马咬伤毒瓦斯入心，马齿苋捣烂煎汤服，栗子嚼敷患处。
一方∶益母草锉捣烂醋调封之。又方马鞭梢烧灰敷。
六畜的血都可以生饮，即可解毒。蓝草汁、豆汁或麻子汁也都能够解毒。
忍冬叶可以生吃治愈，或者浓煎汁液饮用。
崇宁年间，苏州天平山白云寺的五位僧人在山中行走时，采得一丛很大的蕈（蘑菇），摘下来食用后，出现呕吐症状。其中三人急忙寻找鸳鸯草生吃，随即痊愈；另外两人呕吐不严重，最终死亡。这种草蔓藤生长，开着相对的黄花和白花，傍水依山而生，俗称为金银花，又名鹭鸶花，其根名为老人须，《本草》中称为忍冬，因为它能够驱逐风寒湿热之邪。
汉防己煎汤饮用，也有在疮口上搽抹雄黄，或用烟熏疮口的做法。阴囊受毒者，用防己煎汤清洗数次即可痊愈。
有人因食用花椒导致气闭欲绝，饮用凉水可解，用地浆水效果更佳。
蓝子研碎加水服用可解。
白米粥可以解毒。
交州、广州一带的俚人用烧焦的铜制作箭矢，中人破皮即死。饮用粪清可立即解毒，患处用粪清洗涂敷。
凡是解除各种药毒，荠葱汁、白豆汁、绿豆汁、甘草汁、饴糖汁、米糖汁、蚕蜕纸烧成的灰，随便使用都能解毒。
凡是解毒的药汤剂不可热服，宜凉饮。因为毒物遇热则势头更盛。
饮香油一碗无妨，用葛根汤清洗伤口，绵布拭干，涂上香油，将青布做成条状点燃放入竹筒中，用烟熏伤口，口渴者，用砂糖调水饮用。
《儒门事亲》记载：一人被狗咬伤，足胫肿胀如罐，坚硬如柱石，毒瓦斯进入腹部，呕吐无法进食，头痛且沉重，发热恶寒。戴人用舟车丸一百粒、通经散二钱治疗，服药至半小时，腹泻十余次，肿胀消退，病势稍减，一直等到流出恶水五六日后，才贴膏药，敷生肌散而痊愈。唉！凡是牲畜咬伤人手足，毒入经络，病症如此，仓促遇到这种情况，不知道治疗方法的人，受害而死，这难道是小事情吗？
（子和）舟车丸（见水肿门） 治疗犬咬伤，不可以立刻贴膏药及生肌类药物，以免闭门留寇。应当先用舟车丸、禹功散、通经散等药，随意服用，腹泻十余次后肿减痛止，然后方可敷贴。木香槟榔丸、搜风顺气丸、神芎丸也都可用下法。

南星（生用） 防风（各等分）
共研为末。凡是被狗咬伤，先以口中含的浆水洗伤口，或用小便、盐汤洗净均可，用棉布拭干，再敷上这两种药末。这样就不会发作。如果用制过的南星，内服一二钱，用童便调下，也可以治疗伤风。
凡是治疗犬咬伤，遇到仓促没有药物的地方，就用小便洗净，百草霜、香麻油调敷，或者用葱捣烂贴敷，牛粪敷，蚯蚓粪敷，口嚼杏仁烂敷，都能够急救。如果稍微延误，则毒瓦斯传入经络，突然难以调治。
糯米散
大斑蝥（二十一个）去掉头足翅，用糯米一撮，先将七个猫放入米中慢火炒，不要炒焦，去掉猫，再放入七个炒，令焦色变，都去掉，又放入七个炒，米色出赤烟为度，去掉猫不用，只将米研为末，冷水加入少许香油，空腹调服，一会儿，再进一服，以大小便排出恶物为度。如果腹痛急，用青靛调凉水解之，或先用黄连、甘草煎汤待冷服之，不可吃热物。
另外用凉水调益元散也很妙。严重的终身禁食犬肉，每见吃犬肉后又复发的，无法救治。又见世人常用斑蝥服用致死的案例。
斑蝥是毒性特别大的药物，虽然是以毒攻毒，但只能少量使用，这里用炒米来夺其气，还准备青靛、黄连来化解其剽悍之性，何况单服斑蝥，岂有不死的道理？我的族兄廪生徐学儒，天资聪敏又好医。有一天他的儿子被疯狗咬伤，病热很重，他就用斑蝥七枚与糯米同炒，不用米只用猫，立刻给儿子服用，一会儿大声呻吟，说腹中如刀割，急忙用药解救，来不及了，不到一小时就死了。族兄只见医方如此写，不考察毒药悍烈的本性，怎么能顿服七枚？古时的医方传讹不觉，今世的方书每每去掉米用猫顿服的传论，只有《医林集要》一方去猫用米，所以我特意指出，以证明方书的谬误。又如小儿方每以一药兼治急慢惊风，如催生兔脑丸，谓生儿出手尚握药，殊不知急慢惊风为虚实二证，小儿在腹中，胞膈不通，惟药入胃集气通经，哪有丸药握手的道理？方书传录讹以传讹，君子应当以理为准，贵在格物致知之功，方书岂可尽信？孟子所谓尽信书则不如无书，确实是这样的言论。

The blood of all domestic animals can be drunk raw to detoxify. Juice from Isatis root (Lan), bean juice, or hemp seed juice can also detoxify.
Fresh Honeysuckle leaves (Jinyinhua) can be chewed and swallowed to cure, or decocted strongly and drunk.
During the Chongning era, five monks from Baiyun Temple on Tianping Mountain in Suzhou were walking in the mountains when they found a large cluster of mushrooms. After picking and eating them, they developed vomiting. Three of them urgently sought out "Mandarin Duck Grass" (Yuanyang Cao), chewed it raw, and recovered immediately; the other two vomited less severely but died. This vine grows against water and mountains, bearing opposite yellow and white flowers. It is commonly known as Gold and Silver Flower (Jinyin), also called Egret Flower (Lu Hua). Its root is named Old Man's Beard (Laoren Xu), and in the *Bencao* (Compendium of Materia Medica), it is called Honeysuckle (Rendong), because it can expel wind-cold-damp-heat pathogens.
Realgar (Xionghuang) ground into powder, mixed with warm water and taken (1 qian); another method is to boil onion juice and drink it.
Han Fangji (Stephania tetrandra) decocted and drunk. Realgar can also be applied topically to the wound, or the wound fumigated. For poisoning of the scrotum, washing several times with Fangji decoction cures it.
For those who suffocate due to eating Sichuan peppercorn (Huajiao), drinking cool water resolves it; earth slurry water (Dijiangshui) is even better.
Fangfeng (Saposhnikovia root) and Fangji decocted and drunk, or Licorice (Gancao) decoction, can all detoxify.
Avoid Licorice (Gancao). Acorus (Changpu) decocted strongly and drunk.
Strongly boiled soybean (Dadou) juice resolves it.
Almond (Xingren) crushed into juice, Isatis root (Langen) and Isatis seed (Lanzi) crushed into juice can all detoxify.
Isatis seed (Lanzi) ground and mixed with water to drink resolves it.
White rice porridge can detoxify.
In the Jiaozhou and Guangzhou regions, locals use burnt copper for arrowheads; if this pierces the skin, death follows instantly. Drinking urine (Fenqing) provides immediate relief; the affected area should be washed and smeared with feces/urine mixture.
To resolve all kinds of drug poison, juice from Shepherd's purse and scallion (Qicong), white bean juice, mung bean juice, Licorice juice, maltose juice, rice sugar juice, or ash from silkworm pupal cases (Cantui zhi) burned to ash, used arbitrarily, can all detoxify.
Decoctions for detoxification should not be taken hot; they should be drunk cool. This is because toxins become more potent when heated.
Drinking a bowl of sesame oil is harmless. Wash the wound with Pueraria root (Gegen) decoction, wipe dry with cotton, apply sesame oil, roll blue cloth into strips, ignite them, place in a bamboo tube, and fumigate the wound. If thirsty, drink water mixed with rock sugar.
*Rumen Shiqin* records: A person bitten by a dog had calves swollen like jars, hard as pillars. The toxin entered the abdomen, causing vomiting and inability to eat, heavy headache, fever, and aversion to cold. Dairen treated him with Zhouche Wan (Boat and Cart Pill) 100 pills and Tongjing San (Meridian-Penetrating Powder) 2 qian. After half an hour, he had over ten bowel movements, the swelling subsided, and the disease condition slightly improved. Only after foul fluid flowed for five to six days did he apply plasters and Shengji San (Flesh-Generating Powder) to heal. Alas! When livestock bite hands or feet, and toxins enter the meridians, presenting such symptoms, those who encounter this suddenly without knowing the treatment will suffer and die. Is this a trivial matter?
(Zihe) Zhouche Wan (see Edema section) treats dog bites. Do not immediately apply plasters or flesh-generating agents, as this traps the toxin inside. One should first use Zhouche Wan, Yugong San, Tongjing San, etc., taken as appropriate, until there are over ten bowel movements, swelling decreases, and pain stops, before applying dressings. Muxiang Binglang Wan, Sousun Fengqi Wan, and Shenxiong Wan can also be used for purging.
(*Baojian*) Dingfeng San treats various dog bite toxins.
Arisaema (Nanxing, raw) and Saposhnikovia root (Fangfeng) in equal parts.
Grind into powder. For any dog bite, first wash the wound with saliva-water from the mouth, or urine, or salt water. Wipe dry with cotton, then apply the two powders. This prevents infection. If processed Arisaema is used, take 1-2 qian internally, mixed with child's urine (Tongbian), which can also treat wind-strike injuries.
For treating dog bites, if no medicine is available in an emergency, wash with urine, apply soot (Baicaoshuang) mixed with sesame oil, or paste crushed scallions, cow dung, earthworm dung, or chewed almonds. These provide emergency aid. Delay allows the toxin to enter the meridians, making treatment difficult.
Glutinous Rice Powder
Large Mylabris (Banmao, 21 pieces), remove head, feet, and wings. Take a pinch of glutinous rice. First, stir-fry seven cats slowly in the rice until not burnt. Remove cats. Add seven more, fry until charred. Remove cats. Add seven more, fry until red smoke appears. Remove cats. Grind the rice into powder. Mix with cold water and a little sesame oil. Take on an empty stomach. Shortly after, take another dose. Continue until foul matter is expelled via urination and defecation. If acute abdominal pain occurs, mix Qingdian (Indigo) with cool water to relieve it, or decoct Coptis (Huanglian) and Licorice (Gancao), let cool, and drink. Do not eat hot food.
Mixing Yi Yuan San with cool water is also excellent. Severe cases must ban dog meat for life. I have seen relapses after eating dog meat, which are incurable. I have also seen people die from taking Mylabris.
Mylabris is extremely toxic. Although it uses toxicity to attack toxicity, it should only be used in small amounts. Here, roasted rice is used to neutralize its qi, and Indigo/Coptis are prepared to mitigate its ferocity. How could one survive taking Mylabris alone? My clan brother, Xuliu Xu Xueru, was intelligent and loved medicine. One day, his son was bitten by a mad dog and had high fever. He used seven Mylabris fried with glutinous rice, but instead of rice, he used cats, and gave it to his son immediately. The son soon screamed in agony, saying his abdomen felt like it was being cut. They tried to antidote him in vain, and he died within an hour. My brother saw the prescription written thus, failing to examine the fierce nature of the poison. How could seven doses be taken at once? Ancient prescriptions passed down errors unnoticed. Modern books often transmit the error of using cats instead of rice for single doses. Only the *Yilin Jiyao* prescription removes cats and uses rice. I highlight this to prove the error in medical texts. Furthermore, pediatric formulas often use one drug for both acute and chronic convulsions, such as *Cuisheng Nao Wan*, claiming a newborn holds the pill when born. This ignores that acute/chronic convulsions are excess/deficiency syndromes, and fetal membranes block entry; drugs must enter the stomach to gather qi and open meridians. How can a pill be held in the hand? Texts pass down errors. Gentlemen should judge by reason and value investigation of things. Can texts be fully trusted? Mencius said, "To believe everything in books is worse than having no books." This is truly true.
One formula: Treat mad dog bites. In a windless place, suck out bad blood from the wound. If no blood flows, prick with a needle to bleed. Wash with urine. Apply powder made from real tiger bone soaked in ghee (Su You). If dry, mix with ghee or sesame oil with a little musk.
One formula: Use [missing character] juice mixed with ginger juice. Take on an empty stomach. Expulsion of foul matter resembling grape pulp indicates efficacy.
One formula: Angelica dahurica (Baizhi) and Cicada slough (Chantui) in equal parts, 2 qian, taken with wine. Yellow fluid oozing from the wound indicates resolution.
One formula: For dog bites where flesh swells, turns yellow, and rots. Remove shells from 50 Castor seeds (Bimazi), grind with water into a paste. Wash wound with salt water first, then apply this medicine repeatedly. Human bites are also treated with this.
One formula: Wash with rice wash water, apply rock sugar.
One formula: Stir-fry almonds until black, crush into paste, and apply.
One formula: Pluck red hairs from the patient's crown, then moxa the wound 3-5 moxibustions to cure.
Dog Repelling Method (*Suipilu*): When encountering a vicious dog on the road, use the left thumb to press starting from Yin hour, blow air once, rotate to Xu hour and press again. The dog will retreat and crouch.
One formula: Treat horse bites where toxin enters the heart. Crush Purslane (Machixian), decoct and drink. Chew chestnuts and apply to the site.
One formula: Cut and crush Motherwort (Yimucao), mix with vinegar and seal the wound. Another formula: Burn horse whip tips to ash and apply.
