此症因脾家热毒积久而发，生于牙根内面，
走窜如莲花一座。患上即针出血搽金不换药。再针两手商阳穴，用六
味汤加∶河车（二钱） 归尾（一钱） 赤芍（一钱） 川连（一钱）
连翘（一钱） 大黄（三钱） 山栀（一钱） 木通（一钱） 生地（二钱） 山
甲（一钱） 石膏（生者五钱），连服二服，如不退，用十八味神药收功。

重舌者，大舌之下，又生一小舌，以致大舌
反粗短，小舌长痛。此心脾之毒也。左寸右关两部之脉洪数者是。
久之必烂，烂则难痊。初起即针出恶血，搽金不换，重加银粉霜。
服黄连解毒汤加生大黄（五钱），如泻
之五、六次，即服玉枢丹，十八味神药亦可服。

此症心胃之火飞腾舌底。即针小舌上
出血，吹金不换，用三黄石膏汤加∶甘草（五分） 河车（二钱）。针商阳穴即愈。

此症因嗜酒太多，遇寒而起，大舌干黄。用三黄
汤加∶枳 生石膏 人中黄，身发寒热用大柴胡汤
加羌活（一钱五分） 治之，如呕恶心烦，
脉象洪大加生大黄（四钱），佐以牛蒡 赤芍 干葛之类，再无不应。
座莲花舌
此症因脾经热毒积聚日久而发作，生于牙根内侧，蔓延扩散如一座莲花。患病后立即针刺出血并涂抹金不换药。再针刺两手商阳穴，服用六味汤加：河车（二钱）当归尾（一钱）赤芍（一钱）黄连（一钱）连翘（一钱）大黄（三钱）山栀（一钱）木通（一钱）生地（二钱）穿山甲（一钱）石膏（生用五钱），连续服用两剂，如果症状不退，使用十八味神药收功。
重舌
重舌是指在大舌之下，又生长出一个小舌，导致大舌反而显得粗短，小舌则长且疼痛。这是心脾之毒所致。左手寸脉和右手关脉呈现洪数脉象的即是此症。拖延久了必然溃烂，溃烂后难以痊愈。初起时立即针刺排出恶血，涂抹金不换药，加重银粉霜用量。服用黄连解毒汤加生大黄（五钱），如果腹泻五、六次，随即服用玉枢丹，十八味神药也可以服用。
莲花舌
此症是心胃之火升腾至舌底。立即针刺小舌出血，吹入金不换药，使用三黄石膏汤加：甘草（五分）河车（二钱）。针刺商阳穴即可痊愈。
黄焦舌
此症因嗜酒过多，遇寒邪引发，大舌干燥发黄。使用三黄汤加：枳实、生石膏、人中黄，身体出现寒热症状时使用大柴胡汤加羌活（一钱五分）治疗，如果出现呕吐、恶心、心烦，脉象洪大，加生大黄（四钱），辅以牛蒡子、赤芍、干葛之类药物，没有不奏效的。
Zuo Lianhua She (Sitting Lotus Tongue)
This condition arises from heat-toxin accumulating in the Spleen over a long period, originating on the inner side of the gum roots, spreading like a lotus flower. Upon onset, prick to bleed and apply Jin Bu Huan powder. Then prick the Shangyang points (LI1) on both hands, and administer Liu Wei Tang (Six-Ingredient Decoction) with additions: Che Che (Placenta Humanum), Gui Wei (Radix Angelicae Sinensis Tail), Chi Shao (Radix Paeoniae Rubra), Chuan Lian (Rhizoma Coptidis), Lian Qiao (Fructus Forsythiae), Da Huang (Radix et Rhizoma Rhei), Shan Zhi (Fructus Gardeniae), Mu Tong (Caulis Akebiae), Sheng Di (Radix Rehmanniae Preparata), Shan Jia (Chitin Scutellae Testudinis et Carapacis), Shi Gao (Gypsum Fibrosum - raw, 5 qian). Take two doses consecutively; if symptoms do not recede, use Shi Ba Wei Shen Yao (Eighteen-Ingredient Divine Medicine) to conclude treatment.
Chong She (Double Tongue)
Chong She refers to a small tongue growing beneath the large tongue, causing the large tongue to appear thick and short, while the small tongue becomes elongated and painful. This is caused by toxin in the Heart and Spleen. The pulse at the Cun position of the left wrist and the Guan position of the right wrist will be surging and rapid. If prolonged, it will inevitably ulcerate, making recovery difficult. At the initial stage, prick to discharge foul blood, apply Jin Bu Huan powder, and increase the dosage of Yin Fen Shuang (Calomel). Administer Huang Lian Jie Du Tang (Coptis Decoction for Resolving Toxins) with added Sheng Da Huang (Raw Radix et Rhizoma Rhei, 5 qian). If there are five or six bowel movements, subsequently administer Yu Shu Dan (Jade Pivot Pill); Shi Ba Wei Shen Yao may also be taken.
Lianhua She (Lotus Tongue)
This condition results from Fire of the Heart and Stomach soaring to the base of the tongue. Prick the small tongue to bleed, insufflate Jin Bu Huan powder, and use San Huang Shi Gao Tang (Three-Yellow Gypsum Decoction) with additions: Gan Cao (Radix Glycyrrhizae), Che Che (Placenta Humanum). Pricking the Shangyang point (LI1) will lead to cure.
Huang Jiao She (Yellow Scorched Tongue)
This condition is triggered by excessive alcohol consumption combined with cold pathogen invasion, resulting in a dry, yellow large tongue. Use San Huang Tang (Three-Yellow Decoction) with additions: Zhi Shi (Fructus Aurantii Immaturus), Sheng Shi Gao (Gypsum Fibrosum - raw), Ren Zhong Huang (Human excrement processed by fermentation). If chills and fever occur, treat with Da Chai Hu Tang (Major Bupleurum Decoction) with added Qiang Huo (Rhizoma Notopterygii). If vomiting, nausea, and irritability occur, and the pulse is surging and large, add Sheng Da Huang (Raw Radix et Rhizoma Rhei, 4 qian), assisted by Niu Bang Zi (Fructus Arctii), Chi Shao (Radix Paeoniae Rubra), and Ge Gen (Puerariae Lobatae Radix). There is no case that will not respond.
