This medicine has a mild nature and flavor but possesses significant efficacy. It comprehensively treats all types of seasonal epidemics caused by pathogenic climate changes. These diseases are contagious, presenting with symptoms such as aversion to cold accompanied by high fever (Zenghan Zhuangre), mental confusion and lethargy, physical fatigue and weakness, pain in the bone joints, loss of appetite, and distension and bloating of the chest and abdomen. Whether it is summerheat contraction, Sha syndrome (a condition characterized by sudden abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhea, and cold limbs due to exposure to miasma or heat), cholera with vomiting and diarrhea, spring warm diseases, summer malaria, autumn dysentery, common cold, wind-cold invasion, or mountainous miasma, for all these conditions, take two pills each time, dissolved in boiling water; for severe cases, take four to five pills. There is no case that does not respond effectively. For Jin Kou Li Ji (Jin Kou Dysentery, a severe form of dysentery where the patient cannot tolerate food or drink), if drinking water causes immediate vomiting upon entry, use one pill held in the mouth to dissolve slowly and swallow gradually. This opens the Stomach Qi, enabling the patient to eat and drink again. Treating others with sincerity yields prompt results. The prescription is listed below, hoping that benevolent gentlemen, who love goodness and are willing to give, will prepare and distribute it widely to relieve the poor, allowing those living in humble huts who cannot afford medical care to rely on this medicine to treat serious illnesses.
Binglang (Arecae Semen, 1 jin), Chuan Nongpu (Magnoliae Officinalis Cortex processed with ginger juice and stir-fried), Guang Pi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium, 12 liang each), Huoxiang (Agastaches Herba, 6 liang), Zhi Xiangfu (Cyperi Rhizoma processed, 0.5 jin), Jiu Baishao (Paeoniae Radix Alba processed with wine, 0.5 jin), Banxia Qu (Pinelliae Rhizoma fermentatum, 12 liang), Zisu (Perillae Folium, 6 liang), Caoguo Ren (Tsaoko Fructus Seed, 0.5 jin), Chao Zhishi (Aurantii Fructus Immaturus stir-fried, 0.5 jin), Zhi Cangzhu (Atractylodis Rhizoma processed, 12 liang), Qingpi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium Viride, 0.5 jin), Chaihu (Bupleuri Radix, 0.5 jin), Chao Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix stir-fried, 0.5 jin), Laifuzi (Raphani Semen stir-fried, 4 liang), Wei Ganjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma Preparatum, 6 liang), Shanzha Rou (Crataegi Fructus Flesh, 0.5 jin), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, 4 liang).
Additionally, add Shenqu (Massae Fermentatae Medicamentosa, 3 jin) and Chen Wuyicha (aged Wuyi tea, 4 liang). Grind all into a fine powder. Use 10 jin of fresh ginger, crush and extract its natural juice. Mash red dates into a paste. Mix the powder with the concentrated juice and water to form pills. Each pill weighs 1.5 qian. Dry thoroughly and store in large bottles, ensuring they are airtight. Reduce dosage for children; pregnant women should avoid taking it.
Qingdai (Indigo Naturalis, 3 qian), Zhen Zizhugen (Bambusae Caulis in Taeniam, 3 qian), Ma Quanzi (Semen Crotalidis, 3 qian).
Decoct the above three ingredients in water and consume. The toxins can be expelled through the stool.
Use one sheng of raw plums and an unspecified amount of Yan Youchong (slugs/snails, commonly known as "slippery mud slime," whose secretion is slippery and covers their bodies). Place them together in a jar. After a long period, the insects will turn into water, and the plums will dry out naturally. Collect and store. When encountering this condition, hold one plum in the mouth, and it will heal immediately.
Another prescription:
Use an unspecified amount of Qingguo He (Canarium Ovatum Seed Kernel), burn it to ash while retaining its medicinal properties. For every qian of ash, add 5 li of Bingpian (Borneolum Syntheticum). Grind into a fine powder and blow it into the affected area. This is also effective and additionally treats chronic foot ulcers that fail to heal.
