Discussion on the manifestations of Wind affecting the head and face. The condition is characterized by excessive sweating on the head and face, aversion to wind, and headache. This occurs because all Yang meridians ascend to the head and face. If physical exertion or labor causes Yang Qi to dissipate, the Cou Li (skin texture and pores) become open and loose, leading to profuse sweating. When Yang Qi becomes deficient, Wind pathogen takes advantage of this weakness, attacking upwards towards the head and face, resulting in aversion to wind and pain.
