Commentary states: The harm caused by Ascaris (a type of parasitic worm) arises when Qi and Blood are deficient, allowing Wind pathogen to invade and ascend, thereby generating sores, carbuncles, tinea, and scabies; no condition is exempt. If the crusts persist with itching, and hair in the temples falls out without regrowing luxuriantly, this is termed Bai Tu (White Baldness).

For treating head sores with parasites that evolve into Bai Tu (White Baldness), the Xixin Gao (Cinnamon Twig Ointment) Formula:
Xixin (Asarum Root, remove stems and leaves), Wu Hui (Aconitum Radix Lateralis Preparata), Mang Cao (Daphne Cortex), Xuduan (Dipsacus Root), Shinan (Rhododendron Dauricum Leaf), Xinyi Ren (Magnolia Flower Bud), Zao Jia (Gleditsia Sinensis Fruit), Zelan (Lycopus Herb, remove stems), Baizhi (Angelica Dahurica Root), Fangfeng (Saposhnikovia Root, remove forked branches), Baizhu (Atractylodes Macrocephala Rhizome), Song Ye (Pine Needle), Zhuye (Bamboo Leaf) (each 2 liang), Zhu Zhi (Pork Fat, half jin), Sheng Ma You (Raw Sesame Oil, 1 jin).
The above fifteen ingredients. Excluding the fats and oils, finely chop the remaining herbs. Place them in a porcelain jar with five sheng of vinegar, soak in water overnight, then remove. In a large cauldron, first add the fats and oils, heat gently over low fire until boiling once or twice. Then add all the herbs. Simmer until the Baizhi turns yellow; the ointment is ready. Filter out the dregs, store in a porcelain container. Before retiring, wash the head with warm starch water, apply the ointment evenly. Do not scratch if itchy. After one night, wash off and reapply.

For treating Bai Tu (White Baldness), the Du Heng Gao (Dysosma Verrucosa Ointment) Formula:
Du Heng (Dysosma Verrucosa Rhizome), Xiong Huang (Realgar, grind), Mulan Pi (Magnolia Bark, chop), Fanshi (Alumen, grind), Fuzi (Prepared Aconite Child Root, roast until cracked, remove skin and navel), Dahuang (Rhubarb Root, chop and stir-fry), Shinan Qinjiao (Rhododendron Dauricum Stem and Dipsacus Root, remove stems and soil), Zhenzhu (Pearl, grind), Kushen (Sophora Root), Shuiyin (Mercury), Songzhi (Pine Resin) (each 6 liang), Zhu Zhi (Pork Fat, remove membrane, 5 jin).
The above thirteen ingredients. First, crush and sieve the herbal medicines into fine powder. Then, grind the mineral drugs and mercury together into a powder. Next, melt the pork fat and pine resin. Add all the other drugs and simmer using alternating medium and low heat until the consistency is appropriate. Filter through new cotton cloth to remove dregs, and store in a porcelain container. For each use, wash the head thoroughly with rice washing water before applying the medicine to treat Bai Tu (White Baldness) and hair loss.

For treating Bai Tu (White Baldness) and hair loss, the Wuweizi Gao (Schisandra Berry Ointment) Formula:
Wuweizi (Schisandra Fruit), Rousongrong (Cistanche Stem), Songzhi (Pine Resin), Chuangzi (Cnidium Fruit), Yuanzhi (Polygala Root, remove heart, each 3 liang), Tusizi (Cuscuta Seed, 5 liang, soak in wine overnight then dry-roast), Xionghuang (Realgar, grind), Jifenbai (Chicken Manure White), Cihuang (Orpiment, grind), Baimi (White Honey) (each 1 liang), Zhu Zhi (Pork Fat, 2 sheng).
The above eleven ingredients. First, crush and sieve the herbal medicines into fine powder. Then, grind the mineral drugs and chicken manure white again into a powder. Put the pork fat and pine resin into the pot and melt them together. Add all the other drugs and simmer on low heat until the consistency is appropriate. Filter through new cotton cloth to remove dregs, and store in a porcelain container. For each use, wash the head clean with ash juice from mulberry wood branches before applying the medicine. Hair will grow within three applications.

For treating Bai Tu (White Baldness) and hair loss, the Fangfeng Gao (Saposhnikovia Ointment) Formula [Note: Text describes pills]:
Fangfeng (Saposhnikovia Root, remove forked branches), Huanglian (Coptis Rhizome, remove roots), Sheng Gan Dihuang (Rehmannia Root, dried and roasted, each 4 liang), Manjing Shi (Viburnum Fruit, 9 liang), Gan Pi (Citrus Peel, roasted, 1.5 liang), Weirui (Polygonatum Rhizome, 2.5 liang), Fushen (Poria with Hostwood, remove wood, 3.5 liang), Dahuang (Rhubarb Root, chop and stir-fry), Gancao (Licorice Root, honey-fried and chopped, each 2 liang).
The above nine ingredients. Crush and sieve into powder. Refine honey and make pills the size of paulownia seeds. Take twenty pills per dose, swallowed with porridge drink on an empty stomach.

For treating Bai Tu (White Baldness) and hair loss, the Shengma Gao (Cimicifuga Ointment) Formula:
Shengma (Cimicifuga Rhizome), Ji (Plantain/Chickweed - *Text ambiguous, kept as Ji*), Mang Cao (Daphne Cortex) (each 2 liang), Baizhi (Angelica Dahurica Root, 1 liang), Fangfeng (Saposhnikovia Root, remove forked branches, 3 liang), Qianglang (Dung Beetle, 4 pieces, separately ground), Ma Zhi (Horse Fat), Xiong Zhi (Bear Fat), Bao Gu Sui (Leopard Bone Marrow) (each half sheng).
The above nine ingredients. First, crush and sieve the herbal medicines into fine powder. Then, melt the three types of animal fats. Add all the other drugs and simmer on low heat until the consistency is appropriate. Filter through cotton cloth to remove dregs, and store in a porcelain container. For each use, wash the head thoroughly with rice washing water before applying the medicine.

For treating Bai Tu (White Baldness) and hair loss, the Tao Pi Tang (Peach Bark Decoction for Washing Hair) Formula:
Tao Pi (Peach Bark, remove coarse black parts and chop, 3 liang), Mian (Flour, stir-fried), Chi (Fermented Soybean, stir-fried and ground, each half liang), Bai Mi (White Rice, ground, 1 ge).
The above four ingredients. Use one dou of water, boil down to eight sheng. Remove dregs, let cool to warm temperature, and use to wash the head. Use daily.

For treating Bai Tu (White Baldness) and hair loss, the Tao Pi Gao (Peach Bark Ointment) Formula:
Tao Pi (Peach Bark, remove coarse black parts, 5 liang, chop, boil in one dou of water to obtain five sheng, remove dregs; drink half a zhan warm first, reserve the rest for washing head), Chi (Fermented Soybean, stir-fried and ground, half liang), Bai Mian (White Flour, stir-fried, half liang).
The above three ingredients. First, wash the head with peach bark juice and consume the liquid. Then, mix the fermented soybean and flour powders with water and apply as a poultice.
