Commentary states: Injuries caused by metal blades, if they penetrate to the tendons and bones, are deeply damaging. However, even if bones are fractured and tendons severed, they can be reconnected and healed. The key lies in applying treatment urgently while the Qi and Blood have not yet turned cold. If heat is not maintained during treatment, wind-cold pathogens easily invade. Although the wound may temporarily heal, it will inevitably lead to numbness later on. It also causes pain and distress, resulting in lifelong incomplete recovery. As for small fragmented bone pieces, they should be removed. Otherwise, pus and blood will flow continuously, and the muscle tissue will fail to close and heal.
