治咳胸中满而振寒，脉数咽干而不渴，时时出浊唾腥臭，久久吐脓如米粥，是为肺痈
方。
桔梗（三两，《集验方》用二两，《古今录验方》用一两） 甘草（二两）
上二味 咀，以水三升，煮取一升，去滓，分二服，必吐脓血也。（一方有款冬花一两
半。
治肺痈喘不得卧方。
葶苈（三两为末） 大枣（二十枚）
上二味 咀，以水二升先煮枣，取二升，去枣纳葶苈二方寸匕，煮取七合，顿服，令
尽，三日服一剂，可至三四剂。治肺痈胸胁胀，一身面目浮肿，鼻塞清涕出，不闻香臭，咳
逆上气，喘鸣迫塞，宜先进小青龙汤，却服前药。（小青龙汤方见前第九卷伤寒门。）
治肺痈初起，咳逆上气，时时浊唾，但坐不得卧方。
皂荚八两为末，蜜丸如梧子大，以大枣膏和汤，服三丸，日三服，夜一服。（《必效方》
以酥炙皂荚。）
治咳有微热烦满，胸心甲错，是为肺痈者方。
黄昏手掌大一块，是合昏皮也。 咀，以水三升煮取一升，分二服。
薏苡仁 瓜瓣（各半升） 桃仁（三十枚） 苇茎（切二升，水二斗，煮取五升，去
上四味 咀，纳苇汁中煮取二升，服一升，当有所见吐脓血。
治肺痈吐涎沫不止方。
桂枝 生姜（各三两） 甘草（二两） 皂荚（一两） 大枣（十五枚）
上五味 咀，以水七升，煮取三升，去滓，分三服。
治疗咳嗽、胸中胀满且伴有寒战，脉象数而咽喉干燥但不口渴，时常吐出浑浊且带有腥臭味的唾液，久病后吐出如米粥般的脓液，这是肺痈的证候。
方剂：
桔梗（三两，《集验方》用二两，《古今录验方》用一两） 甘草（二两）
以上两味药，切碎，用水三升，煮取一升药液，滤去药渣，分两次服用，服药后必然会吐出脓血。（另一版本方中有款冬花一两半。）
治疗肺痈导致喘息无法平卧的方剂。
葶苈子（三两，研为粉末） 大枣（二十枚）
以上两味药，切碎，先用水二升煮大枣，取二升药液，去掉枣肉，加入葶苈子两个方寸匕的量，再煮取七合药液，一次性服完，全部喝完。每三天服用一剂，最多可服用三四剂。此方治疗肺痈引起的胸胁胀满，全身及面目浮肿，鼻塞流清涕，嗅觉失灵，气逆上冲，喘息有声且气道阻塞。应当先进服小青龙汤，然后再服用前面的药。（小青龙汤方见前第九卷伤寒门。）
治疗肺痈初起，咳嗽气逆，时常吐出浊唾，只能坐着不能平卧的方剂。
皂荚八两，研为粉末，用蜂蜜制成梧桐子大小的丸药，用大枣膏调和水送服，每次服三丸，每日三次，夜间一次。（《必效方》用酥油炙烤皂荚。）
治疗咳嗽伴有轻微发热、烦闷胀满，胸部皮肤粗糙如鳞甲，这是肺痈的证候的方剂。
黄昏时手掌大的一块合欢皮。切碎，用水三升煮取一升药液，分两次服用。
薏苡仁 瓜瓣（各半升） 桃仁（三十枚） 苇茎（切二升，用水二斗，煮取五升，去掉上面的浮沫）
以上四味药，切碎，放入苇汁中再煮取二升药液，服用一升，服药后应当会吐出脓血。
治疗肺痈吐涎沫不止的方剂。

以上五味药，切碎，用水七升，煮取三升药液，滤去药渣，分三次服用。
Treats cough with chest fullness and aversion to cold, rapid pulse with dry throat but no thirst, frequent expectoration of turbid saliva with a fishy odor, and long-standing expectoration of pus resembling rice porridge; this is Lung Abscess (Fei Yong).
Formula:
Jiegeng (Platycodonis Radix, 3 liang; *Jiyan Fang* uses 2 liang; *Gujin Luyuan Fang* uses 1 liang) Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, 2 liang)
Crush the above two ingredients. Boil in 3 sheng of water until reduced to 1 sheng. Strain the dregs. Divide into two doses. Pus and blood will inevitably be vomited. (Another version includes Kuandonghua (Adenophorae Radix), 1.5 liang.)
Treats Lung Abscess causing panting and inability to lie down.
Tinglizi (Lepidii Fructus, 3 liang, powdered) Dazao (Ziziphi Jujubae Fructus, 20 pieces)
Crush the above two ingredients. First boil the dates in 2 sheng of water to obtain 2 sheng of liquid. Remove the dates. Add Tinglizi powder equivalent to two "fangcun bi" (a square-inch scoop). Boil until 7 he remains. Take all at once. Take one dose every three days; up to three or four doses may be taken. This treats Lung Abscess with distension in the chest and hypochondrium, edema of the whole body and face, nasal congestion with clear discharge, loss of smell, rebellious Qi with upward rushing, wheezing with airway obstruction. It is advisable to first administer Xiao Qinglong Tang (Minor Blue Dragon Decoction), then take the previous medicine. (Xiao Qinglong Tang formula is seen in Volume 9, Shanghan Section.)
Treats early-stage Lung Abscess with cough, rebellious Qi, frequent turbid saliva, where the patient can only sit and cannot lie down.
Zaojiao (Gleditsiae Fructus, 8 liang, powdered). Make pills the size of wutong seeds using honey. Take 3 pills mixed with date paste and water, three times daily and once at night. (*Bixiao Fang* uses Zaojiao roasted with butter.)
Treats cough with slight fever, irritability, and fullness, and rough skin on the chest like scales; this indicates Lung Abscess.
Hehuanpi (Albiziae Cortex, one piece the size of a palm at dusk). Crush it. Boil in 3 sheng of water until reduced to 1 sheng. Divide into two doses.
Yiyiren (Coicis Semen, half sheng each) Gaban (likely Trichosanthis Semen or similar, half sheng each) Taoren (Persicae Semen, 30 pieces) Weijing (Phragmitis Rhizoma, cut 2 sheng). Boil Weijing in 2 dou of water until reduced to 5 sheng. Remove the scum.
Crush the above four ingredients. Add to the Weijing juice. Boil until 2 sheng remains. Take 1 sheng. Pus and blood should be expectorated after taking this.
Treats Lung Abscess with incessant expectoration of salivary foam.
Guizhi (Cinnamomi Ramulus, 3 liang each) Shengjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens, 3 liang each) Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, 2 liang) Zaojiao (Gleditsiae Fructus, 1 liang) Dazao (Ziziphi Jujubae Fructus, 15 pieces)
Crush the above five ingredients. Boil in 7 sheng of water until reduced to 3 sheng. Strain the dregs. Divide into three doses.
