(Seven pulse-symptom chapters, seventeen formulas, one moxibustion method)
After the febrile disease has resolved for about half a day, if irritability and heat recur, and the pulse is floating and rapid, sweating can be induced again; Guizhi Tang (Cinnamon Twig Decoction) is appropriate. Generally, drinking water after inducing sweating will inevitably cause wheezing; caution is advised.
For cases where sweating has been induced, resulting in deficiency and irritability in both the exterior and interior, which cannot be treated with purgatives, only this formula should be given.

The liquid is taken in one-sheng doses, three times a day. Zhang Wenzhong's version does not use Shengjiang.
