One dou of soybeans (Soybean, 大豆), selected and cleaned, boiled in five dou of water until yielding one dou and three sheng. Clarify the decoction and place it in a cauldron. Add one dan and half sheng of fine wine to the liquid, and simmer again to extract the juice. Strain and drink, ensuring that the warming effect of the wine is maintained continuously. (This method is also attributed to Fan Wang and Yi).
Another prescription:
A large bundle of Cortex Broussonetiae (Paper Mulberry Bark, 楮枝皮), chopped and boiled to extract the juice. Use this juice to brew wine. Take it in the morning; becoming intoxicated is ideal. Edema will subside within three days. After recovery, it can be taken regularly. (Both prescriptions are from Volume 21).
