(Treating damp-heat in the three Yin meridians of the foot. Manifesting as redness and swelling of the legs and feet, skin erosion with purulent discharge, resembling blood wind sores (Xue Feng Chuang), spreading incessantly, with severe pain and itching.)
First, take one jin (approx. 500g) of tung oil (Tung Oil), boil it in a pot until white foam bubbles appear. Add five qian (approx. 18.75g) of yellow beeswax (Beeswax) to melt it. Mix in one jin of finely ground and stir-fried Rhizoma Polygoni Cuspidati (Dasheng Huang) powder. Stir evenly. Then add two fen (approx. 0.6g) of borneol (Borneolum Syntheticum). Spread and apply externally.
(Specifically treating all types of heat-toxin sores and boils. This formula is the primary treatment; the previously copied formula is an alternative.)
Long human hair (one jin), rapeseed oil (four jin). Fry until the hair is charred, then strain out the residue. Take fresh Arctii Fructus (Niuxiangzi), Chrysanthemi Flos (Juhua), Lonicerae Japonicae Caulis (Jinyinteng), Patriniae Herba (Mabiancao), Xanthii Herba (Cangercao), and *Polygonum aviculare* or similar herb referred to as "Xianren Duizuo Cao" (each one jin). Add ten jin of rapeseed oil and fry until charred, then filter to obtain the oil. Add Angelicae Dahuricae Radix (Baizhi), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao), Trogopteri Dung (Wulingzhi), and Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Danggui) (each eight liang). Fry until charred and strain. Combine this with the hair-infused oil. Calculate the total weight. For every jin of oil, add seven liang of litharge (Taodan). Boil to form the ointment for external application. If the ointment is too soft/under-cooked, add four liang of cinnabar (Dansha), boil and mix thoroughly.
(This is the Qingliang Gao mentioned earlier. Another formula was obtained recently along with this latter one, which is excellent for backup. The method of preparation: First, slowly boil the oil and hair over gentle fire until the hair dissolves into water-like consistency, which takes about half a day. Next, mix in lead oxide powder (Qianfen). Finally, use litharge (Taodan) to consolidate the ointment. The Master said: Human hair is excellent for resolving stasis, stopping bleeding, generating flesh, and promoting tissue regeneration. When making ointments, no other miscellaneous herbs need be added.)
Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Danggui) (one liang), Angelicae Dahuricae Radix (Baizhi) (five qian), Lithospermi Radix (Zicao), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao) (one liang two qian). Use one jin of true sesame oil (Mayou). Soak the herbs for five days. Decoct until the herbs are charred, then strain. Re-boil the oil until it forms beads when dropped into water (Di Shui Cheng Zhu). Add four qian of fine powder of Sanguis Draconis (Xuejie), stir evenly. Add two liang of white beeswax (Baila) to melt. Remove from heat and let cool slightly. Add four qian of calomel (Qingfen), grind finely, and mix to form the ointment.
Nitrificatum (Ren Zhong Bai) and Fan [text unclear/incomplete] (each five fen), chicken manure paste (Tang Jifen), moss on roof tiles (Washang Qingtai), and *Pogonatum aloides* or similar moss growing on tiles (Wasong) (each one qian). Use two silver pots. Place the herbs inside. Seal the mouths and secure with salt mud. Burn over charcoal fire for the duration of three incense sticks. Wait for cooling. Retrieve the substance from the pots. Add one fen each of borneol (Bingpian) and musk (Shexiang). Grind together into a fine powder. Puncture the lingual fungiform papillae or tongue tumor (She Jun) with a needle. Apply a small amount of this powder/dan. Cover with powder of Sporis Lygodii (Puhuang).
