\r伏鼠疽\p04-a55a61.bmp\r
\r勇疽\p04-a55a62.bmp\r
\r托疽\p04-a55a63.bmp\r
\r筋疽\p04-a55a64.bmp\r
Dun Ju (Dun Carbuncle)
It involves the three Yin and three Yang meridians of the hand. The abundance and deficiency of Qi and Blood vary among these meridians. It arises on the ten fingertips of the hands and is named Ju Chuang (Carbuncle sore). Within four to five days of onset, it suppurates; if pus is present and can be lanced, it indicates a viable prognosis. If it fails to suppurate, lacks pus, and the black discoloration extends beyond the joints, it is fatal and incurable.
Fu Shu Ju (Hidden Rat Carbuncle)
It occurs in the web spaces between the fingers of the hands and feet. On the lateral aspect of the back, three or five distinct, ball-like carbuncles are visible within the subcutaneous tissue, with corresponding pain sensations, known as Fu Shu Ju. If not treated early, toxic vapors may attack the Heart, leading to death. If swelling and induration are acute, administer Nei Tuo San (Internal Support Powder) urgently. Application of external topical medications will stabilize the condition.
Yong Ju (Brave Carbuncle)
It belongs to the Foot Taiyin Spleen Meridian, which is characterized by abundant Qi and scarce Blood. It arises at the Chongmen (SP12) acupoint, presenting with redness, swelling, and induration. It may suppurate and be lanced after eight days. If the pus is yellowish-white, it is treatable. When the ulcer opening is as large as a chicken egg, it is commonly referred to as Yu Kou (Fish Mouth). It may occur singly or bilaterally. If the wound fails to heal over many years, it indicates contamination by Yin pathogens. Steam fumigation and tonifying methods to support expulsion of toxins are indicated.
Tuo Ju (Supporting Carbuncle)
It belongs to the Foot Shaoyang Gallbladder Meridian, which is characterized by abundant Qi and scarce Blood. It arises at the Yangguan and Yanglingquan (GB34) acupoints. The area becomes swollen and painful. Pus forms after half a month. If the pus is yellowish-white, it is treatable. Absence of pain or discharge of fresh blood indicates a poor prognosis. Discharge of bluish-black pus, gradual increase in the number of fistula tracts, or wandering lesions that lack a fixed location are considered untreatable.
Jin Ju (Sinew Carbuncle)
It belongs to the Foot Taiyang Bladder Meridian, which is characterized by abundant Blood and scarce Qi. It arises at the Kunlun (BL60) acupoints located at the posterior-lateral heels of both feet. In the initial three to five days, the skin appears eroded like insect bites. After one year, it may develop into Wei Syndrome (Atrophy Syndrome), manifesting as fatty swelling and coarse bones. During periods of suppuration, worm-like sinews may drop out; they are yellowish-red and internally consume the bone. Chronic non-healing is termed Wei Lou (Atrophic Fistula), also known as Qu Ju (Curved Carbuncle). Continuous discharge of purulent fluid is termed Leng Ju (Cold Carbuncle), which carries a high mortality rate.
