，去壳为末，绵裹，左眼塞右鼻，右眼塞左鼻，数夜自愈。
一、有伏热内攻，阴气外行所致者，去其伏热，眼皮便宽，则毛立出，宜用升阳散火
汤，外治同上。
升阳散火汤
连翘 黄芩 蔓荆子 升麻 羌活 柴胡（各一钱五分） 归身（二钱） 生地（四钱） 甘
草（一钱生用）
上水煎，食后温服。
补中益气汤（通用三十。）
生睫边，形如豆粒有尖。以线针刺破即瘥，故俗名偷针，乃太阳经结热也。如刺后风邪
袭入疮口，面目浮肿，目赤涩痛者，用芎皮散二钱，菊花汤调下，覆头出汗即愈。
芎皮散
川芎（二两） 青皮（一两）
共为细末，每服二钱，菊花煎汤调服。
附方（存验。）
生南星末同生地黄捣膏，贴太阳穴，针眼自消。即刺后冒风亦可愈。
风热搏于眼胞，则患眼丹，红肿胀痛。风盛者肿软下垂，不能视物，用荆防败毒散散之

欲溃者，按阳痈则例治之。然须速愈，若溃久溃深，亦能成漏。

仙方活命饮（通用一。）
眼皮上突出一红疤，悬如鱼胆，用过江蜘蛛丝（蜘蛛牵丝搭过屋者为过江。）缠之即脱。
又方用樱桃核磨水搽，渐渐自消。
脾胃之气虚弱，导致眼部皮肤紧绷收缩，眼睑变小，睫毛向内倒刺入眼中，这种情况被称为“拳毛倒睫”。使用补中益气汤，加入石斛、蝉蜕，将蝉蜕去壳后研成细末，用棉布包裹，左眼患病则塞入右鼻孔，右眼患病则塞入左鼻孔，经过几个夜晚即可自愈。
一、有因体内潜伏的热邪内攻，阴气外行所导致的，去除体内的伏热，眼皮就会松弛变宽，睫毛便会直立长出，适宜使用升阳散火汤，外治方法同上。
升阳散火汤
连翘、黄芩、蔓荆子、升麻、羌活、柴胡（各一钱五分），当归身（二钱），生地黄（四钱），甘草（一钱，生用）。
以上药材加水煎煮，饭后温服。
补中益气汤（通用方三十。）
睫毛根部生长，形状像豆粒且有尖端。用线针刺破即可痊愈，所以俗称“偷针”，这是太阳经结聚热邪所致。如果针刺后风邪侵入疮口，导致面目浮肿、眼睛红赤涩痛者，服用芎皮散二钱，用菊花汤送下，覆盖头部出汗后即可痊愈。

川芎（二两），青皮（一两）。
共研为细末，每次服用二钱，用菊花煎汤调服。
附方（验证有效。）
生南星粉末与生地黄一起捣烂成膏，贴敷于太阳穴，针眼自会消退。即使是针刺后受风也可治愈。
风热搏结于眼睑，则会患眼丹，表现为红肿疼痛。风邪盛者肿胀松软下垂，不能视物，使用荆防败毒散消散它。热邪欲溃破者，按照阳痈的条例治疗。然而必须迅速治愈，如果溃破时间久且创面深，也可能形成瘘管。
眼皮上突出一块红色疤痕，悬挂如鱼胆一般，用过江蜘蛛丝（蜘蛛牵引丝线搭过屋顶的称为过江）缠绕即脱落。另一个方子用樱桃核磨水涂抹，渐渐自行消退。
Spleen and Stomach Qi deficiency causes the skin around the eyes to tighten and shrink, the eyelids to become small, and the eyelashes to turn inward into the eye; this is called "curled eyelash" (Quanmao Daojie). Use Buzhong Yiqi Tang (Tonify the Middle and Augment the Qi Decoction) with added Dendrobii Caulis (Shihu) and Cicadae Periostracum (Chantui). Remove the shell of the cicada, grind it into powder, wrap it in cotton, insert into the right nostril for the left eye, or into the left nostril for the right eye. It will heal spontaneously after several nights.
One type is caused by latent heat attacking internally and Yin Qi moving externally. Once the latent heat is cleared, the eyelid skin relaxes and widens, allowing the lashes to stand upright. Shengyang Sanhuo Tang (Raise Yang and Disperse Fire Decoction) is appropriate, with external treatment as described above.
Shengyang Sanhuo Tang
Forsythiae Fructus (Lianqiao), Scutellariae Radix (Huangqin), Viticis Fructus (Manjingzi), Cimicifugae Rhizoma (Shengma), Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix (Qianghuo), Bupleuri Radix (Chaihu) (each 1.5 qian), Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Guishen) (2 qian), Rehmanniae Radix Recens (Shengdi) (4 qian), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao, raw) (1 qian).
Decoct these ingredients in water and take warm after meals.
Buzhong Yiqi Tang (General Formula No. 30.)
Growth at the edge of the eyelashes, shaped like a bean with a sharp tip. Puncturing it with a thread needle leads to recovery, hence the common name "stealing needle" (Touzhen), which is due to heat accumulation in the Taiyang Meridian. If wind-pathogen invades the wound after puncturing, causing facial swelling, redness, and dry painful eyes, administer Xiongpi San (Pepper Bark Powder) 2 qian, taken with Chrysanthemi Flos (Juhua) decoction. Covering the head to induce sweating will lead to recovery.
Xiongpi San
Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma (Chuanxiong) (2 liang), Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium Viride (Qingpi) (1 liang).
Grind together into fine powder. Take 2 qian per dose, mixed with Chrysanthemi Flos (Juhua) decoction.
Supplementary Formulas (Verified efficacy.)
Powder of Arisaematis Rhizoma Preparatum (Shengnanxing) pounded together with Rehmanniae Radix Recens (Shengdihuang) into a paste, applied to the Taiyang acupoint. The stye will resolve spontaneously. This also works if wind was caught after the needle puncture.
Wind-heat clashing in the eyelids results in "Eye Dan" (Yandan), characterized by redness, swelling, and pain. When wind is predominant, the swelling is soft and drooping, impairing vision; Jingfang Baidu San (Schizonepeta and Saposhnikovia Decoction to Overcome Toxicity) is used to dissipate it. When heat is about to suppurate, treat according to the protocols for Yang abscesses. However, rapid healing is required; if ulceration persists for a long time and becomes deep, it may form a fistula.

Xianfang Huoming Yin (Immortal Life Elixir Decoction) (General Formula No. 1.)
A red scar protrudes from the eyelid, hanging like a fish gallbladder. Wrap it with silk from a spider that has crossed over a roof ("cross-river spider silk"), and it will detach immediately. Another method uses water ground from Prunus pseudocerasus seeds (Yingtaohe) applied topically, which gradually resolves on its own.
