治疗口角生疮的各种方剂：

以上药物，先将杏仁研成细末，再加入铅霜、麝香，研磨均匀。取少量药粉敷在疮面上，即可痊愈。
又一方：
乱发（烧成灰，一分） 旧棉絮（烧成灰，一分） 黄连末（一分） 干姜末（半分）
以上药物，细细研磨成粉末。每次取少量敷在疮面上，不超过三四次即可痊愈。
又一方：
黄连（一分，去须根捣成末） 腻粉（半分，即轻粉）
以上药物，一起研磨均匀。每次取少量敷在疮面上，即可痊愈。
治疗口角恶疮的黄连散方：
黄连（一分，去须根） 干姜（半分，炮裂）
以上药物，捣碎过筛成粉末。每次取少量敷在疮面上，不超过三次即可痊愈。
又一方：
用黄柏以蜂蜜涂抹后炙烤，碾罗成粉末，敷在疮面上有效。
治疗口角生白疮，宜用此方：
用槟榔二枚，烧成灰后细细研磨，敷在疮面上立即痊愈。
又一方：
用人中白（尿垢沉淀物），与少许麝香一同研磨极细，敷在疮面上痊愈。
又一方：
挖掘经过一年的葵根（即将腐烂者），烧成灰，趁热敷在患处。
口臭的原因，是由于五脏六腑功能不调，壅滞之气上攻胸膈。然而脏腑的燥热腐败之气不同，蕴积在胸膈之间，导致口气臭秽。
治疗口臭的细辛散方：
细辛（一两） 甘草（一两，炙至微红，锉碎） 桂心（一两）
以上药物，捣碎过筛成散剂。每次服用不拘时候，用熟开水调服一钱。
又一方：
桂心（一两） 木兰皮（一两） 川芎（一两半） 沉香（一两） 陈橘皮（半两，汤浸去白瓤焙干）
以上药物，捣碎过筛成散剂。每次在饭前，用温酒调服一钱。
治疗口臭，去除热毒瓦斯，调和脏腑的含香丸方：
鸡舌香（一两，即丁香） 藿香（半两） 零陵香（三分） 甘松香（半两） 当归（半两） 牛心（半两） 白芷（半两）
以上药物，捣碎过筛成粉末，加入麝香研磨均匀，炼蜜和丸，如楝实大小。经常含服一丸，咽下津液。
治疗口臭令香气，止烦散气的方剂，宜服此方：
肉豆蔻（一两，去壳） 丁香（一两） 藿香（一两） 零陵香（一两） 木香（一两） 白芷（一两）
以上药物，捣碎过筛成粉末，炼蜜和捣三二百杵，制成如弹子大小的丸剂。经常含服一丸，咽下津液。
治疗口气的升麻散方：
川升麻（三两） 甘草（半两，炙微红锉碎） 防风（三分，去芦头） 藁本（半两） 细辛（一分） 白芷（三分） 甘松香（三分）
以上药物，捣碎过筛成散剂。每次取一钱，用绵裹住含服，咽下津液。
治疗口气的五香丸方：
沉香（三分） 丁香（三分） 薰陆香（乳香，三分） 黄连（三分，去须根） 鬼臼（半两，去须根） 麝香（一分） 牛角屑（三分）
以上药物，捣碎过筛成粉末，炼蜜和捣三二百杵，制成如梧桐子大小的丸剂。每次服用十丸，用清浆水送服，每日三四次。
常服治疗口臭秽浊的丁香丸方：
丁香（半两） 甘草（一两半，炙微红锉碎） 细辛（二两半） 桂心（三分） 川芎（一两）
以上药物，捣碎过筛成粉末，炼蜜和捣三二百杵，制成如梧桐子大小的丸剂。每次服用，不拘时候，煎竹叶汤送下二十丸。
又一方：
川芎（一两） 白芷（一两） 陈橘皮（一两，汤浸去白瓤焙干） 桂心（一两）
以上药物，捣碎过筛成粉末，加入枣肉和少许炼蜜混合，制成如梧桐子大小的丸剂。每次在饭前，用温水送下二十丸。
又一方：
甘草（一两，炙微红锉碎） 川芎（一两） 白芷（半两）
以上药物，捣碎过筛成粉末。每次取一钱，用绵裹住含服，咽下津液，每日三到五次，即可痊愈。
又一方：
甘草（一两，炙微红锉碎） 松根皮（一两） 瓜子仁（一两，微炒）
以上药物，捣碎过筛成粉末，煮枣肉和丸，如梧桐子大小。每次服用，用熟开水送下二十丸。
治疗口臭及牙龈肿痛，升麻散方：
川升麻（一两半） 细辛（半两） 藁本（半两） 防风（半两，去芦头） 川芎（半两） 甘草（半两）
以上药物，捣碎过筛成粉末。每次取少量敷在牙龈上，立即痊愈。
治疗口臭及牙龈肿痛，丁香散方：
丁香（二十枚） 白矾（一两半，烧成灰） 香附子（三分）
以上药物，捣碎过筛成粉末。先用盐刷牙，然后将少量药粉涂在上面。
又一方：
香薷（一斤）
切碎，用水一斗，煎取三升，热时含漱，冷后吐出。
The Foot-Taiyin Spleen Meridian is the meridian of the Spleen. Its Qi connects to the mouth. The Foot-Yangming Stomach Meridian is the meridian of the Stomach. The Hand-Yangming Large Intestine Meridian is the meridian of the Large Intestine. These three meridians run along both sides of the face and oral cavity.
Various formulas for treating sores on the corners of the mouth:
Xingren San (Almond Powder) Formula:
Xingren (Almond, 1 fen, soaked in hot water, skin and tips removed, discard double-kernel ones), Qianshuang (Lead Frost, 0.5 fen), Shexiang (Musk, a small amount).
Grind the Xingren finely first. Then add Qianshuang and Shexiang, grinding until uniform. Apply a small amount of the powder to the sore; it will heal.
Another formula:
Luafa (Tangled Hair, 1 fen, burnt to ash), Guxu (Old Cotton Wadding, 1 fen, burnt to ash), Huanglian Mo (Coptis Powder, 1 fen), Ganjiang Mo (Dried Ginger Powder, 0.5 fen).
Grind all ingredients into a fine powder. Apply a small amount to the sore each time. It will heal within three or four applications.
Another formula:
Huanglian (Coptis Rhizome, 1 fen, remove roots and grind to powder), Nifen (Calomel/Light Red Mercury Chloride, 0.5 fen).
Grind all ingredients uniformly. Apply a small amount to the sore; it will heal.
Huanglian San (Coptis Powder) for treating malignant sores on the corners of the mouth:
Huanglian (Coptis Rhizome, 1 fen, remove roots), Ganjiang (Dried Ginger, 0.5 fen, processed/cracked).
Pulverize and sieve the ingredients. Apply a small amount to the sore each time. It will heal within three applications.
Another formula:
Roast Qiu Ye (Catalpa Leaves) until dry, grind into powder, and apply to the sore; it will heal.
Another formula:
Coat Huangbai (Phellodendron Bark) with honey, roast it, grind and sieve into powder, and apply to the sore; this is effective.
For treating white sores on the corners of the mouth, use this formula:
Burning two Binglang (Areca Nut) pieces to ash, grinding finely, and applying to the sore brings immediate healing.
Another formula:
Renzhongbai (Calcined Human Urine Deposit), mixed with a small amount of Shexiang (Musk), ground extremely fine, and applied to the sore; it heals.
Another formula:
Qishu Baipi (White Bark of Catalpa Tree), pounded wet and applied as a paste to the sore. It heals after three or four applications.
Another formula:
Excavate Kuigen (Kui Root, Abelmoschus manihot) that has been in the ground for a year and is about to rot. Burn it to ash and apply while hot.
Bad breath originates from the disharmony of the Zang-Fu organs. Stagnant Qi attacks upward to the chest and diaphragm. However, the dryness and putrefaction of different Zang-Fu organs accumulate between the chest and diaphragm, leading to foul breath.
Xixin San (Asarum Powder) for treating bad breath:
Xixin (Asarum, 1 liang), Gancao (Licorice Root, 1 liang, honey-fried until slightly red and chopped), Guixin (Cinnamon Twig Heart, 1 liang).
Pulverize and sieve the ingredients into a powder. Take 1 qian at any time, mixed with boiled water.
Another formula:
Guixin (Cinnamon Twig Heart, 1 liang), Mulanpi (Magnolia Bark, 1 liang), Xiongqiong (Ligusticum Chuanxiong Rhizome, 1.5 liang), Chenxiang (Agarwood, 1 liang), Chenjupi (Aged Tangerine Peel, 0.5 liang, soaked in water, white pith removed, dried).
Pulverize and sieve the ingredients into a powder. Take 1 qian before meals, mixed with warm wine.
Hanxiang Wan (Incense-Holding Pill) for treating bad breath, removing heat-toxic Qi, and harmonizing Zang-Fu organs:
Jitixiang (Cloves/Syzygium Aromaticum, 1 liang), Huoxiang (Patchouli, 0.5 liang), Linglingxiang (Lingnan Incense/Pogostemon Cablin, 3 fen), Gansongxiang (Nardostachys Root, 0.5 liang), Danggui (Angelica Sinensis, 0.5 liang), Xin (Ox Heart, 0.5 liang), Baizhi (Angelica Dahurica, 0.5 liang).
Pulverize and sieve the ingredients, add Shexiang (Musk), and grind uniformly. Mix with refined honey to form pills the size of Melia Azadirachta fruits. Hold one pill in the mouth frequently and swallow the saliva.
To make breath fragrant and relieve irritability and stagnant Qi, take this formula:
Roudoukou (Nutmeg, 1 liang, shell removed), Dingxiang (Cloves, 1 liang), Huoxiang (Patchouli, 1 liang), Linglingxiang (Lingnan Incense, 1 liang), Muxiang (Aucklandia Root, 1 liang), Baizhi (Angelica Dahurica, 1 liang).
Pulverize and sieve the ingredients. Mix with refined honey and pound 200-300 times. Form pills the size of marbles. Hold one pill in the mouth frequently and swallow the saliva.
Shengma San (Cimicifuga Powder) for treating halitosis:
Chuan Shengma (Cimicifuga Rhizome, 3 liang), Gancao (Licorice Root, 0.5 liang, honey-fried until slightly red and chopped), Fangfeng (Saposhnikovia Root, 3 fen, remove root head), Ben Cao/Loben (Ligusticum Sinense Rhizome, 0.5 liang), Xixin (Asarum, 1 fen), Baizhi (Angelica Dahurica, 3 fen), Gansong (Nardostachys Root, 3 fen).
Pulverize and sieve the ingredients into a powder. Take 1 qian, wrap in cotton, hold in the mouth, and swallow the saliva.
Wuxiang Wan (Five-Ingredient Incense Pill) for treating halitosis:
Chenxiang (Agarwood, 3 fen), Dingxiang (Cloves, 3 fen), Xunluxiang (Frankincense/Olibanum, 3 fen), Huanglian (Coptis Rhizome, 3 fen, remove roots), Guijiu (Podophyllum Rhizome, 0.5 liang, remove roots), Shexiang (Musk, 1 fen), Niujiao Xie (Buffalo Horn Shavings, 3 fen).
Pulverize and sieve the ingredients. Mix with refined honey and pound 200-300 times. Form pills the size of Sophora Japonica seeds. Take 10 pills per dose with clear fermented grain water, three to four times daily.
Dingxiang Wan (Cloves Pill) for frequent use to treat foul breath:
Dingxiang (Cloves, 0.5 liang), Gancao (Licorice Root, 1.5 liang, honey-fried until slightly red and chopped), Xixin (Asarum, 2.5 liang), Guixin (Cinnamon Twig Heart, 3 fen), Xiongqiong (Ligusticum Chuanxiong Rhizome, 1 liang).
Pulverize and sieve the ingredients. Mix with refined honey and pound 200-300 times. Form pills the size of Sophora Japonica seeds. Take 20 pills per dose at any time, with decoction of Bamboo Leaves.
Another formula:
Xiongqiong (Ligusticum Chuanxiong Rhizome, 1 liang), Baizhi (Angelica Dahurica, 1 liang), Chenjupi (Aged Tangerine Peel, 1 liang, soaked in water, white pith removed, dried), Guixin (Cinnamon Twig Heart, 1 liang).
Pulverize and sieve the ingredients. Add date flesh and a little refined honey. Form pills the size of Sophora Japonica seeds. Take 20 pills before meals with warm water.
Another formula:
Gancao (Licorice Root, 1 liang, honey-fried until slightly red and chopped), Xiongqiong (Ligusticum Chuanxiong Rhizome, 1 liang), Baizhi (Angelica Dahurica, 0.5 liang).
Pulverize and sieve the ingredients. Take 1 qian, wrap in cotton, hold in the mouth, and swallow the saliva. Do this three to five times daily until healed.
Another formula:
Gancao (Licorice Root, 1 liang, honey-fried until slightly red and chopped), Songgenpi (Pine Root Bark, 1 liang), Guazi Ren (Melon Seeds, 1 liang, lightly stir-fried).
Pulverize and sieve the ingredients. Boil date flesh and mix to form pills the size of Sophora Japonica seeds. Take 20 pills per dose with boiled water.
Shengma San (Cimicifuga Powder) for treating bad breath and gum swelling/pain:
Chuan Shengma (Cimicifuga Rhizome, 1.5 liang), Xixin (Asarum, 0.5 liang), Loben (Ligusticum Sinense Rhizome, 0.5 liang), Fangfeng (Saposhnikovia Root, 0.5 liang, remove root head), Xiongqiong (Ligusticum Chuanxiong Rhizome, 0.5 liang), Gancao (Licorice Root, 0.5 liang).
Pulverize and sieve the ingredients. Apply a small amount to the gums; it heals immediately.
Dingxiang San (Cloves Powder) for treating bad breath and gum swelling/pain:
Dingxiang (Cloves, 20 pieces), Baijian (Alum, 1.5 liang, burnt to ash), Xiangfuzi (Cyperi Rhizome, 3 fen).
Pulverize and sieve the ingredients. First brush teeth with salt, then apply a small amount of the powder.
Another formula:
Boil Xixin (Asarum) to obtain a thick decoction. Hold in the mouth while hot, spit out when cold; it heals.
Another formula:
Xiangru (Mosla Chinensis, 1 jin).
Cut into pieces. Decoct in 10 dou of water to yield 3 sheng. Hold in the mouth while hot, spit out when cold.
Another formula:
Dry Tianhu Zi (Sweet Bottle Gourd), pulverize and sieve into powder. Mix with honey to form pills the size of half a jujube. On an empty stomach daily, rinse mouth thoroughly, hold one pill in the mouth, and apply a small amount to the affected area.
Another formula:
Da Dou (Soybeans), roasted until scorched. Pour vinegar over them while hot. Collect the juice and hold in the mouth; this is effective.
