小儿霍乱，是由于阴气与阳气、清气与浊气相互干扰所致，这被称为“气乱”。气在肠胃之间发生紊乱，就形成了霍乱。小儿的肠胃比较娇嫩软弱，如果邪气侵入其中，就会导致身体发热、头痛、全身疼痛，并且出现呕吐和腹泻的症状。凡是小儿患霍乱，都必须暂时停止哺乳，这也是为了使气血调和，因为乳汁性质温和。如果小儿呕吐和腹泻不止，导致气血逆乱，就会引发惊风痫证。
治疗小儿霍乱，呕吐不止的方剂：人参散方。

以上药物，全部细细锉碎并混合均匀，分为七次服用。每次服用时，用水一小盏，煎煮至五分，去渣滓，不限时间，根据孩子的大小，分次温服。

以上药物，捣碎并过粗筛制成散剂。每次服用一钱，用水一小盏，煎煮至五分，去渣滓，令其温热，时时给予服用。随孩子的大小，酌情加减。
又一方：
芦根（一两，锉碎） 糯米（半合）
以上药物，用水一大盏，煮取五分，去渣滓。加入蜂蜜半合，再煎一两沸。随孩子的大小，酌情增减温服。
又一方：

Pediatric Huoluan (Acute Gastroenteritis with Vomiting and Diarrhea) is caused by the interference between Yin and Yang, and clear and turbid Qi, which is referred to as "Qi Disarray." When Qi becomes disordered within the intestines and stomach, Huoluan occurs. Because children's intestines and stomachs are delicate and weak, if pathogenic factors invade them, it leads to fever, headache, body aches, accompanied by vomiting and diarrhea. In all cases of pediatric Huoluan, breastfeeding must be temporarily suspended to harmonize Qi and Blood, as milk is warm in nature. If vomiting and diarrhea persist, causing Qi and Blood chaos, it may trigger convulsions and epilepsy (Jing Xian).
Formula for treating pediatric Huoluan with persistent vomiting: Renshen San (Ginseng Powder).
Renshen (Panax ginseng Radix et Rhizoma, Ban Liang, remove Lu Tou/Aerial parts), Baizhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma, Yi Fen), Huoxiang (Agastaches Herba, Ban Liang), Gegen (Puerariae Lobatae Radix, Ban Liang, cut into pieces), Houpo (Magnoliae Officinalis Cortex, Yi Fen, remove coarse bark, coat with Shengjiang juice and roast).
Crush the above herbs and sieve coarsely to make a powder. Take one Qian per dose. Add one small cup of water, decoct until reduced to five-fen volume, strain, and administer warm in divided doses according to the child's age, at any time.
Formula for treating persistent vomiting and diarrhea with irritability after pediatric Huoluan: Banxia San (Pinellia Powder).
Banxia (Pinelliae Tuber, Ban Liang, wash seven times with hot water to remove slipperiness), Huanglian (Coptidis Rhizoma, Ban Liang, remove stamens), Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix, Yi Fen), Ganjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma, Ban Liang, processed/crushed), Chenpi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium, Ban Liang, slightly red, crushed).
Crush the above herbs and sieve coarsely to make a powder. Take one Qian per dose. Add one small cup of water, decoct until reduced to five-fen volume, strain, and administer warm in divided doses according to the child's age, at any time.

Grind the above ingredients uniformly. Decoct with three Ge of breast milk until reduced to two Ge. Strain. Add Niu Huang (Bovis Calculus), Shexiang (Moschus), and Tu Mao Hui (Ash of Rabbit Hair), each the size of a black bean (fine powder), and a little Shengjiang juice.
