肝脏在五行中属木。其对应的颜色是青色。肝内藏血液，其情志表现为怒。若邪热损伤肝脏，潜伏停留而未能清除，就会导致肝气壅滞充实。肝气充实则气机上逆。因此出现面色发青、容易发怒的症状。
治疗肝气上逆，伴有四肢沉重、面色青紫、不愿见人、多易嗔怒的情况，适宜服用龙骨散方。

治疗肝脏气机逆乱，不愿见人、面色青、多怒的情况，适宜服用柏子仁散方。
柏子仁（一两） 人参（三分，去除芦头） 虎头骨〔一两，涂醋（或酥）炙烤至黄色〕 知母（三分） 茯神（三分） 甘草（三分）
将上述药物捣碎并过筛制成散剂。每次服用三钱，用水一中盏，煎煮至六分，滤去药渣。不分时候，温服。
治疗肝脏气机逆乱，面色青、多恐惧愤怒、胸膈烦闷阻滞、心神不安的情况，适宜服用沙参散方。

将上述药物捣碎并过筛制成散剂。每次服用三钱，用水一中盏，煎煮至六分，滤去药渣。不分时候，温服。
The Liver belongs to Wood in the Five Elements. Its corresponding color is Green. The Liver stores Blood, and its emotional manifestation is Anger. If pathogenic Heat damages the Liver and lingers without being eliminated, it causes Liver Qi to become stagnant and excessive. When excessive, Qi rebels upward. Thus, it results in a greenish complexion and frequent anger.
For treating Liver Qi rebellion accompanied by heavy limbs, a greenish complexion, aversion to seeing people, and irritability, Longgu San (Dragon Bone Powder) is indicated.
Longgu (Fossilized Bones of Mammoth or Elephant, 1 liang) Chifuling (Red Poria, 1 liang) Ziwan (Asteris Radix, 1 liang, washed to remove seedlings and soil) Renshen (Ginseng Radix, 1 liang, removed radix bulb) Lingyangjiao Xie (Antelope Horn Shavings, 1 liang) Yiyiren (Coicis Semen, 1 liang) Maimendong (Ophiopogonis Radix, 1 liang, removed heart)
Crush the above herbs into coarse powder and sieve. Take 3 qian per dose. Add 1 zhuan of water, decoct until reduced to 6 fen. Strain the dregs. Take warm at any time.
For treating Liver Qi rebellion accompanied by vexation, a greenish complexion, and frequent anger, Lingyangjiao San (Antelope Horn Powder) is indicated.
Lingyangjiao Xie (Antelope Horn Shavings, 3 fen) Wuweizi (Schisandrae Fructus, 3 fen) Weirui (Polygonati Rhizoma, 3 fen) Fushen (Poria with Hostwood, 3 fen) Yuanzhi (Polygalae Radix, 3 fen, removed heart) Longgu (Fossilized Bones of Mammoth or Elephant, 1 liang) Shashen (Adenophorae Radix, 3 fen, removed radix bulb) Suanzaoren (Ziziphi Spinosae Semen, 3 fen, lightly stir-fried)
Crush the above herbs into powder. Take 3 qian per dose. Add 1 zhuan of water, decoct until reduced to 6 fen. Strain the dregs. Take warm at any time.
For treating Liver organ Qi rebellion accompanied by aversion to seeing people, a greenish complexion, and frequent anger, Baiziren San (Biota Seed Powder) is indicated.
Baiziren (Biota Seed, 1 liang) Renshen (Ginseng Radix, 3 fen, removed radix bulb) Hutougu (Tiger Skull Bone, 1 liang, coated with vinegar [or butter] and roasted until yellow) Zhimu (Anemarrhenae Rhizoma, 3 fen) Fushen (Poria with Hostwood, 3 fen) Gancao (Licorice Root, 3 fen)
Sift the above herbs into powder. Take 3 qian per dose. Add 1 zhuan of water, decoct until reduced to 6 fen. Strain the dregs. Take warm at any time.
For treating Liver organ Qi rebellion accompanied by a greenish complexion, frequent fear and anger, chest and diaphragm vexation and stagnation, and restless mind, Shashen San (Adenophora Powder) is indicated.
Shashen (Adenophorae Radix, 3 fen, removed radix bulb) Ganhua Ju (Chrysanthemi Flos, 3 fen) Suanzaoren (Ziziphi Spinosae Semen, 3 fen) Zhishi (Aurantii Fructus Immaturus, 3 fen, stir-fried with bran until slightly yellow) Jiegeng (Platycodonis Radix, 3 fen, removed radix bulb) Gancao (Licorice Root, 3 fen, cut into pieces)
Sift the above herbs into powder. Take 3 qian per dose. Add 1 zhuan of water, decoct until reduced to 6 fen. Strain the dregs. Take warm at any time.
