对于肺气喘急、时常咳嗽、坐卧不安、喉中有鸣响、心胸满闷的症状，适宜服用马兜铃散方。

以上药物混合，置于瓷瓶内储存，蒸半天，使药成为膏状。每次服用，不分时候，用暖酒调服一茶匙。
治疗肺气喘急、咳嗽的症状，适宜服用桔梗散方。

以上药物，捣细过筛制成散剂。每次服用，不分时候，用糯米粥饮调服一钱。
治疗肺气喘急、无法躺卧睡觉、头不能着枕、不分昼夜、长期倚靠物体坐着、只吃稀粥的情况，服用此药，其气急症状当日就会减轻，再过三五天，就能安稳躺卧头着枕，小便通畅，心腹之气消散，二十日后，身体平复如常。兼治十种（喘证）。

牛黄（半两，细研） 人参（一两，去除芦头） 赤茯苓（一两） 诃黎勒（三分，煨后用皮） 蛤蚧（一对，头尾齐全者，涂酥炙至微黄） 杏仁（三分，汤浸去皮尖，保留双仁，麸炒至微黄） 甘草（半两，炙至微红，锉碎）
以上药物，捣罗成末，加入牛黄再次研匀，用炼蜜蜡调和制成丸剂，大小如鸡头实。不分时候，含服一丸，咽下津液。
治疗肺气喘急、坐卧不安的症状，适宜服用汉防己丸方。
汉防己（一两） 干姜（半两，炮裂锉碎） 甜葶苈（三分，隔纸炒至紫色） 猪牙皂荚（一两，去除黑皮，涂酥炙至焦黄，去子）
以上药物，捣罗成末，用枣肉调和捣一二百杵，制成梧桐子大小的丸剂。每次服用，不分时候，煎桑根白皮汤送下十丸。
治疗多年的肺气病，多次治疗未愈，心膈烦热，喘促的症状，适宜服用此方。
砒霜（一两，用熟绢包裹，取大萝卜一枚，开一窍，放入砒霜，再用萝卜塞住，用线缠系，放入铛中，加水入灯心草五寸……药……（半两）
以上药物，共同研匀，煮枣肉调和制成丸剂，大小如梧桐子。用沙糖温水，研化一丸，饭后服用。
治疗久患肺气喘急、痰壅闷乱的症状，适宜服用葶苈丸方。
甜葶苈（一两，隔纸炒至紫色，另研如膏） 贝母（一两，煨至微黄捣末） 杏仁（一两，汤浸去皮尖，保留双仁，麸炒至微黄研如膏） 皂荚（二两，捶碎，以酒五合揉取汁，煎成膏）
以上药物，都研匀，用皂荚膏调和制成丸剂，大小如梧桐子。每次服用，不分时候，用桑根白皮汤送下二十丸。
治疗肺气喘急、睡卧不安的症状，适宜服用猪KT酒方。
猪KT（三具，细切） 大枣（五十枚，去核）
以上两味，用无灰酒五升，浸泡三天。每次服用，不分时候，温服一小盏。兼治经年咳嗽病。
The lung is located above the other four zang organs, acting like a cover. It circulates and transmits the essential qi of all zang organs. Qi belongs to Yang, flowing through the zang-fu organs and disseminating to the couli (skin texture and pores). The regulation of qi is governed by the lung.
For symptoms of pulmonary asthma with急促 breathing (asthma and rapid breathing), frequent coughing, inability to sit or lie comfortably, wheezing sounds in the throat, and fullness/stuffiness in the chest and heart, it is suitable to take the Madouling San (Manshuri Aristolochia Powder) prescription.
