Treats weak stomach and intestines, with internal accumulation of cold and raw foods, leading to abdominal distension and diarrhea, frequent stinging pain, tenesmus (urgency with incomplete defecation), dysentery with red and white discharge, or transformation into pus with frequent episodes, persisting for a long time without recovery.
*Fructus Mume* (Wumei Rou) *Rhizoma Coptidis* (Huanglian, remove the rootlets, each 1 fen) *Pericarpium Chebulae* (Hezi Pi) *Capsule Papaveris* (Yingsu Qiao, remove the lid and veins, honey-fried) *Semen Myristicae* (Roudoukou, wrapped in wet paper)
Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Mix with refined honey to make pills, sized like *Evodiae Fructus* (Wutongzi). Take 30 to 50 pills per dose, on an empty stomach, before meals, washed down with rice drink. For children, make smaller pills and wash down with decoction of *Radix Glycyrrhizae* (Gancao) and ginger.
Treats deficiency of Ying and Wei Qi, where wind-cold pathogenic factors invade the interior of the zang-fu organs. This may be caused by consuming cold/raw foods, eating roasted or fried items, or excessive alcohol consumption, resulting in weak stomach and intestines, inability to consolidate waste, bloody stools, pain in the umbilical and abdominal regions, tenesmus, rectal prolapse, or chronic frequent diarrhea. All these conditions are treated.
*Palma Roxburghii* (Baizong, burnt) *Ficus Hirta* (Mumantou, burnt) *Radix Aconiti Lateralis Preparata* (Wutou, remove the core) *Radix Glycyrrhizae* (Gancao, honey-fried, each 2 liang)
Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Take 2 qian per dose, with one cup of water, decocted until reduced to 0.7 cups. Take warm on an empty stomach.
Treats eight types of toxic dysentery, cramping pain in the zang-fu organs, pus and blood mixed with red and white discharge, or five colors mixed together, frequent diarrhea day and night. Also treats severe "Jinkou" dysentery (dysentery with inability to eat due to vomiting), unquenchable thirst, alcoholic dysentery, and intestinal toxin (Zangdu), where there is a complete loss of appetite.
*Rhizoma Puerariae* (Gegen, remove skin, half liang) *Radix Sanguisorbae* (Diyu, remove the rhizome head) *Radix Glycyrrhizae* (Gancao, honey-fried, each 2 liang) *Radix Zingiberis Recens* (Shengjiang, processed/dried as Ganjiang here implies dried ginger contextually or typo for Shengjiang, but text says Ganjiang - Dried Ginger) *Radix Angelicae Sinensis* (Danggui, remove rhizome head, each 1 liang)
Another formula is seen later.
Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Take 2 qian per dose, with one cup of water, decocted until reduced to 0.7 cups. Take warm, at any time.
Treats all types of red and white dysentery, pus and blood mixed, tenesmus, or slippery diarrhea of the zang-fu organs without restraint day and night, or aversion to food due to accumulated cold and long-standing chill. (Another formula is seen later).
*Radix Angelicae Sinensis* (Danggui, wash, remove rhizome head) *Fructus Chebulae* (Hezi, processed, remove core) *Radix Aucklandiae* (Muxiang, avoid fire, each 6 liang) *Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae Viride* (Qingpi, remove the white pith) *Radix Glycyrrhizae* (Gancao, [text fragment 'Chi' likely refers to Chi Shao or similar, but strictly follows text])
Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Mix with refined honey to make pills, sized like a marble. Take one pill per dose, with 0.8 cups of water, decocted until reduced to 0.6 cups. Take warm on an empty stomach, before meals.
