If a thread is used to gently pinch the affected area and the pain penetrates to the heart, the distress is indescribable.
Prescription: Take 1 qian of Moschus (Shexiang, 麝香), grind it into fine powder, mix with water after meals, and take orally. Efficacy should be observed within three days.
Prescription: Take 2.5 jin each of Chuanxiong Rhizoma (Chuanxiong, 川芎) and Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Danggui, 当归). Chop them into pieces, decoct strongly in water in a ceramic or stone vessel. Drink warm at any time and in any quantity. Take the remaining 1.5 jin, chop into large blocks, and slowly burn them as smoke using an incense burner. Place the source under a table in front of the patient. Ensure the smoke rises continuously without interruption. Have the patient bow their head over the table and inhale the smoke through the mouth and nose towards the diseased breast(s). Continue until this entire dose is consumed. Observe the condition; if not fully recovered, slightly reduce the dosage and prepare another dose. Administer by decoction and smoke inhalation as before; this will surely bring relief. If two doses are exhausted and although the breasts do not return to their original position, grind one Ricini Semen (Bimazi, 蓖麻子) with cold water, apply to the center of the vertex (Baihui region) for a moment, then wash off immediately. Recovery will ensue.
A fleshy cord protrudes from the vagina, approximately three to four chi long, pulling on the heart and abdomen with unbearable pain. Slight manipulation with the hand causes agony bordering on death.
Prescription: First, administer Shixiao San (Pulse-Stop Powder) several times. Then, take three slices of Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens (Shengjiang, 生姜), washed clean but skin left on. Pound thoroughly in a stone mortar. Mix well with 2 jin of refined oil. Stir-fry in a pot until the oil is dry and charred. Take a piece of cooked silk cloth, about five chi long, fold it into a knot-like shape. Have a steady woman gently hold it, curling it into a ball, and insert it into the vaginal canal. Wrap the fried ginger-oil mixture in a silk bag. Apply it warmly to the protruding fleshy cord. When the ginger aroma fades, heat an ironing tool (wen dou) and press it against the bag to maintain warmth and ginger vapor. Remove after some time and replace with a new one. Perform this fumigation and ironing for one day and night. The fleshy cord will retract by more than half. Repeat the previous method; after two more days, the cord will completely retract into the abdomen, and the disease will be cured. Subsequently, administer Shixiao San and Xiong Gui Tang (Chuanxiong-Danggui Decoction) to tonify. It is crucial not to let the fleshy cord break, as this would render the condition incurable.
When traveling through mountains and rivers, one may be unfamiliar with the local water and soil conditions. Accidental poisoning through food or drink consumed by humans or animals often leads to death due to lack of knowledge of antidotes. Is this not a wrongful and premature death?
However, Great Sages have long established methods to save lives. These methods exist for the benefit of those eager to live. Yet, people neglect to learn them. When such emergencies occur, they resign themselves to fate, ignorant of the remedies. Herein, I present the antidotal formulas of Shennong and Huangdi. May those interested pay attention.
