Bansdou Rou (Semina Crotonis Tiglii, 巴豆肉) (3 seeds), Ming Ruxiang (Resina Olibani, 明乳香) (1 qian).
Grind the above ingredients together, melt Huangla (Yellow Beeswax, 黄蜡) to mix and form pills, sized like hemp seeds. Use one pill per application, inserting it into the carious cavity.
Treats teeth eroded by worms, presenting with cavities and pain.
Take Xionghuang (Realgar, 雄黄) ground into fine powder, mix with Zaogao (Date Paste, 枣膏) to form pills, insert into the cavity, then cauterize with a heated needle comb. Alternatively, grind Xionghuang finely, and according to whether the pain is on the left or right, use a tool to scoop a small amount and insert it into the ear. Another method: grind Xionghuang into powder, add a small amount of Shexiang (Moschus, 麝香), mix evenly, and apply to the painful area.
Take Jiucaizi (Fructus Allii Tuberosi, 韭菜子), cover with a bowl and roast over fire. Then roll a small corner of Zhuruo (Bamboo Leaf Sheath, 竹箬) and insert it into the carious area. If the lower teeth are affected, decoct Jiucaizi in strong liquid and rinse frequently; the worms will naturally emerge.
Apply Chansu (Venenum Bufonis, 蟾酥) to raw silk thread, dry in shade, cut into segments of 2 fen length, insert into the root of the painful tooth, avoiding heat for a moment. Another method: dissolve Chansu in hot water, dip a small amount of new cotton into the medicine, form a pill the size of a millet grain, and insert into the painful area.
Treats swelling caused by Wind pathogen and worm infestation, with loose and unstable teeth.
During the Sanfu days (the hottest period of summer), take a piece of Chi Ma Rou (Red Horse Meat, 赤马肉) or white horse meat, hang it in a quiet room, wait until maggots grow and hang down, collect them, roast them dry on hot tiles, and grind into powder. Each time, use a bamboo comb to dip a tiny amount and place it on the painful tooth; after one cough, the tooth will naturally fall out.
