The symptoms are the same as mentioned above.
*Alpiniae Officinarum Rhizoma* (Liangjiang), *Evodiae Fructus* (Wuzhuyu), *Piperis Fructus* (Hujiao) (each 1 fen).
Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Take one pig spleen, chop it finely, stir-fry with *Schisandrae Chinensis Fructus* (Wuweizi), half coated with the medicine and half uncoated. Form them into wontons. Mark the medicated wontons with ink. Swallow the marked ones whole, and chew the unmarked ones. One dose is effective.

*Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma* (Baizhu), *Cinnabar* (Dansha, ground), *Moschus* (Shexiang, ground), *Syzygii Aromatica Flos* (Dingxiang), *Terminalia Chebulae Fructus* (Helilepi), *Styrax* (Anshixiang, ground with *Juglandis Semen* [Hutaoren]), *Santalum Album Lignum* (Tanxiang), *Long Pepper Fruit* (Bibo), *Rhinocerotis Cornu* (Xijiao, shaved, each 0.5 liang), *Olibanum* (Xunluxiang), *Styrax Benzoin* (Suhexiang), *Borneolum Syntheticum* (Naoxiong, ground, each 1 fen), *Cyperus Rotundus Rhizoma* (Shacaogen), *Gypsum Fibrosum* (Shigao), *Aucklandiae Radix* (Muxiang) (each 0.5 liang).

Take ten pills per dose, swallowed with well water on an empty stomach. Elderly people and children take three pills. Store the medicine in a gauze bag and wear it on the arm to ward off evil qi. Prepare it in the twelfth lunar month, store it in a new porcelain vessel, and prevent leakage of qi.

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Take one qian per dose, mixed with warm wine. Take regularly before meals daily.
Another view states that lan qi refers to the miasma produced by green grass and yellow awns in Lingnan, similar to cold damage (Shanghan) in the north of the岭 (mountain range). The land in the south is warm, so during the Taiyin period, grass and trees do not turn yellow or fall. Hibernating insects do not close their hiding places but remain hidden. Various insects are born due to the warmth. Thus, in mid-summer there is green grass miasma, and in early winter there is yellow awn miasma. If people there lose medical care, they often develop jaundice disease, which is difficult to treat. When people in Lingnan contract this illness, it is like cold damage: high fever and headache persist for more than one to three days, located in the skin and surface, curable by sweating; if it persists for more than five days, it binds in the zang-fu organs, causing heavy body and abdominal pain, curable by purging. However, purging should not be used first; otherwise, it is difficult to treat. If unresolved, it manifests as malaria or dysentery in spring and autumn, leading to yellow and emaciated skin and flesh.
