Baiyin (White Turbidity) refers to secretions that are discharged along with urine, appearing turbid like rice-washing water. This is caused by turbid qi in the Stomach seeping into the Bladder.
Chenpi (Aged Tangerine Peel), Fuling (Poria), Baizhu (Atractylodes Macrocephala Rhizome), Gancao (Licorice Root), Cangzhu (Atractylodes Lancea Rhizome, processed, 1 qian each), Shengma (Cimicifugae Rhizoma), Chaihu (Bupleuri Radix, 4 fen each), Yizhiren (Alpinia Oxyphylla Fruit, stir-fried with salt water, 1 qian), Muxiang (Aucklandiae Radix, 2 fen).
Baizhuo (White Turbidity) refers to a clear, cold, thick, and sticky fluid that is discharged frequently, or flows out after urination, in small amounts. This is due to deficiency and damage of the Lower Yuan (lower body's vital essence), where Jing (Essence) cannot be controlled, leading to slipping discharge.
Chuanbiexie (Dioscoreae Hypoglaucae Rhizoma), Yizhiren (Alpinia Oxyphylla Fruit, shelled and stir-fried with salt water), Wuyao (Linderae Radix), Fuling (Poria, 2 qian each), Shichangpu (Acori Tatarinowii Rhizoma, de-haired and stir-fried), Zhike (Aurantii Fructus Immaturus), Shengcaozhi (Raw Licorice Root, 1 qian each). Dosage: Take an appropriate amount as directed.
The primary method for preserving fetal health is abstaining from sexual intercourse; secondary is moderating desire. However, complete abstinence is difficult. If one can moderate desire, the mind remains clear, and the Taiqi (Fetal Qi) becomes tranquil. With a stable fetus, childbirth becomes easier. One should engage in mild exertion; exertion promotes the circulation of Qi and Blood, strengthens sinews and bones. The fetus, accustomed to this state within the abdomen, will not be harmed by minor jolts or strains. However, this applies to stages other than early pregnancy.
One should bind the waist with cloth. Once the woman knows she is pregnant, take a piece of cloth, six to seven cun wide and long enough to wrap twice around the waist. Bind it tightly around the waist continuously until delivery. This strengthens the lower back and spine; even if one stumbles or falls accidentally, the fetus will not be damaged. Untie it when labor begins, allowing the abdomen to relax suddenly, making it easier for the fetus to turn.
One must be cautious with diet. Neglecting dietary taboos easily harms the fetus. Generally, food should be light and bland, not rich and heavy; it should be pure and clear, not turbid; it should be sweet, not dispersing. It is impossible to list all foods; one must judge the nature of the food at the time.
One must observe various prohibitions. Avoid excessive emotions and desires, carrying bricks or stones, mental strain and physical effort, extreme cold or heat, climbing high or going down low, changing rooms or moving beds, entering delivery rooms or noisy places. Do not wake up too early or sleep too late. Do not use prescriptions from "Furen Liangfang" (Good Prescriptions for Women), do not consume ancient medicinal wines, and do not take prescriptions from passing physicians.
One should take medicine regularly. Pregnant women often suffer from Spleen failing to transform and transport. When the Spleen fails to transform, Dampness is generated, which then generates Heat. Therefore, herbs that tonify the Spleen and dry Dampness should be used for nourishment. Pregnant women constantly have insufficient Qi and Blood, so one must additionally tonify Blood and regulate Qi to calm the fetus. In cases of fetal movement with bleeding, or those with a history of habitual abortion, taking medicine cannot be delayed. Here are selected essential formulas for consumption. Take several doses monthly after conception.
