Treats blood deficiency with fatigue, presenting as five-palm heat (heat in the palms, soles, and chest), limb pain, heavy and dizzy head and eyes, palpitations with flushed cheeks, dry mouth and throat, fever with night sweats, reduced appetite, and lethargy; as well as blood heat clashing with each other, causing irregular menstruation, distending and painful abdomen around the navel, and alternating chills and high fever resembling malaria. It also treats young unmarried women with weak blood and yin deficiency, disharmony of Ying and Wei (nutritive and defensive qi), phlegm-cough with tidal fever, emaciation, gradually developing into bone-steaming consumption (a chronic consumptive disease characterized by deep skeletal heat).

The above herbs are coarsely chopped. For each dose, take 3 qian. Add one sheng of water, one piece of simmered ginger sliced, and three leaves of Bohe (Menthae Haplocalycis Herba). Decoct together until the volume reduces to 7/10, strain, and drink hot. Take at any time.

Regarding "blood-wind lao" (consumptive disorder due to blood wind) in women, it arises from deficiency and damage of qi and blood, irregular menstruation, and external contraction of wind pathogen; or internal retention of old cold, causing disharmony of Yin and Yang, obstruction and stagnation of meridians, hard and painful abdomen, soreness and pain in the four limbs, menstruation that is either intermittent or regular, sallow complexion, and emaciation. Additionally, it may result from improper care within one hundred days postpartum, leading to deficiency and damage of the zang-fu organs and exhaustion of the hundred vessels, thereby inducing this consumptive disease.
Treats women's blood-wind lao-qi, presenting with body pain, dizziness and dry eyes, palpitations with irritability and fatigue, alternating chills and fever with night sweats, flushed cheeks and dry mouth, phlegm-cough with chest fullness, and mental dullness. Or irregular menstruation, abdominal pain around the navel, hard masses (jia pi), intermittent pain. Or frequent vomiting and regurgitation, inability to eat. Or due to improper postpartum management, prolonged illness leading to emaciation, alternating between rising and lying down, and in severe cases, being confined to bed.
