白扁豆散 治疗服用堕胎毒药的情况。
将白扁豆研成粉末。用刚打来的冷水送服三钱，患者即可苏醒。若出现牙关紧闭（口噤）的症状，则撬开嘴巴灌入药液。
安胎丸 治疗情况同上。
即将上述前方制成丸剂。用白开水送服。
金匮当归散 治疗情况同上。
组成：黄芩、白术、当归、川芎、白芍（各一两）。
每次取药末二钱，用酒送服。或者用酒调糊制成丸剂，也可以用米汤送服。
沈鳌按语：古人使用白术来燥湿，使用黄芩来清热，这已经是确定的做法。然而胎儿尤其依赖血液的滋养培养。此方加入川芎、当归、白芍以补血，那么胎儿自然安定，并且生产容易。所生的孩子更没有胎毒，患痘疹的症状也会稀少。平时习惯性小产的人更应该服用，以清除病源。
五味安胎丸 治疗情况同前。
即采用前方，用酒调糊制成丸剂。此方中白术用量减半。
芎归补血汤 治疗情况同上。
组成：当归、黄芪、白术、杜仲、白芍（各一钱）、干姜、阿胶、五味子、川芎、木香、人参、甘草（各五分）。
另一版本没有木香。此方兼治胎漏（妊娠期间阴道少量出血）而导致的流产。
安荣汤 治疗情况同上。
组成：熟地黄、白芍、川芎、桑寄生、当归、阿胶、香附、白术、砂仁、黄芩（各一钱）、糯米（一百粒）。
和痛汤 治疗小产后心腹部疼痛。
组成：四物汤（各增加至一钱半）、延胡索（一钱）、泽兰、香附、青皮（各八分）、桃仁、红花（各五分），加酒、童便（儿童尿液）煎服。
千金保胎丸 凡是妇女怀孕三个月时发生小产的，虽然气血不足，但这是因为冲脉受损。冲脉即阳明胃经，负责供应胎孕营养。到了这个时候必须节制饮食，断绝性欲，戒除愤怒，这样才能避免小产的危害。服用此药可以保全胎儿。
组成：姜汁炒熟地黄、土炒白术、姜制杜仲、酒制当归、酒制续断、阿胶珠、四制香附、益母胶、条芩（各二两）、陈皮、醋艾叶、川芎（各一两）、砂仁（五钱）。
用枣肉制成丸剂。
泰山磐石散 治疗气血两虚。或者形体肥胖但体质不实，或者形体消瘦且血热，或者肝脾素来虚弱，倦怠乏力、食欲减少，屡次导致堕胎的情况。
组成：人参、黄芪、当归、川断、黄芩（各一钱）、熟地黄、川芎、白芍（各八分）、白术（二钱）、炙甘草、砂仁（各五分）、糯米（一撮）。
只要觉得怀孕，每三五天服用一次。到四个月以后就没有忧虑了。
凉胎饮 治疗胎气热而不安的情况。
组成：生地黄、白芍（各二钱）、当归、黄芩（各一二钱）、甘草（七分）、枳壳、石斛（各一钱）、茯苓（一钱半）。热象严重者可加黄柏一二钱。
胎元饮 治疗冲任二脉失守，胎元不安不固的情况。根据症状加减使用。可以隔天服用，或者两三天服用一次。
组成：人参（随宜选用）、当归、杜仲、白芍（各二钱）、熟地黄（二三钱）、白术（一钱半）、炙甘草（一钱）、陈皮（七分，若无气滞者不用）。
四圣散 治疗漏胎下血（妊娠期阴道出血）。
组成：黄芩、白术、阿胶、砂仁。
等分研磨。每次取药末二钱，用艾叶汤送服。另一版本有芍药，无阿胶。此方若改为汤剂，砂仁用量减半。
固胎煎 治疗肝脾火旺多滞，而屡次堕胎的情况。
组成：黄芪（二钱）、白术（一二钱）、陈皮（一钱）、当归、白芍、阿胶（各一钱半）、砂仁（五分）。
Baidou San (White Hyacinth Bean Powder) treats poisoning from ingesting abortifacient drugs.
Powder the White Hyacinth Bean (Dolichos Lablab Seed). Administer three qian with fresh well water, and the patient will regain consciousness. If the patient presents with trismus (lockjaw), pry open the mouth and administer the liquid.
Qinshu Tang (Scutellaria and Atractylodes Decoction) clears heat and calms the fetus.
Ingredients: Tiaohuang Qin (Scutellariae Radix), Baizhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma).
Antai Wan (Fetus-Calming Pill) treats the same condition as above.
Prepare pills using the aforementioned formula. Administer with plain boiled water.
Jingui Danggui San (Golden Cabinet Angelica Powder) treats the same condition as above.
Ingredients: Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix), Baizhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma), Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), Chuanxiong (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma), Baishao (Paeoniae Radix Alba) (each one liang).
Take two qian of the powder each time, administered with wine. Alternatively, make pills using wine paste; administering with rice soup is also acceptable.
Shen Ao's Note: Ancients used Baizhu to dry dampness and Huangqin to clear heat, which was established practice. However, the fetus relies particularly on blood for nourishment. This formula adds Chuanxiong, Danggui, and Baishao to tonify blood, thereby naturally calming the fetus and facilitating delivery. The offspring will be free from fetal toxins, and symptoms of smallpox/varioloid will be rare. Those prone to habitual miscarriage should take this to clear the root cause.
Wuwei Antai Wan (Five-Ingredient Fetus-Calming Pill) treats the same condition as before.
Use the aforementioned formula, making pills with wine paste. In this formula, the dosage of Baizhu is halved.
Xionggui Buxue Tang (Chuanxiong and Danggui Blood-Tonifying Decoction) treats the same condition as above.
Ingredients: Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), Huangqi (Astragali Membranacei Radix), Baizhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma), Duzhong (Eucommiae Cortex), Baishao (Paeoniae Radix Alba) (each one qian), Ganjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma), Ejiao (Colla Corii Asini), Wuweizi (Schisandrae Chinensis Fructus), Chuanxiong (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma), Muxiang (Aucklandiae Radix), Renshen (Ginseng Radix), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma) (each five fen).
Another version excludes Muxiang. This formula also treats bleeding during pregnancy (Tai Lou) leading to miscarriage.
Anrong Tang (Peace and Prosperity Decoction) treats the same condition as above.
Ingredients: Shudi (Rehmanniae Radix Preparata), Baishao (Paeoniae Radix Alba), Chuanxiong (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma), Sangjisheng (Taxilli Herba), Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), Ejiao (Colla Corii Asini), Xiangfu (Cyperi Rhizoma), Baizhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma), Sharen (Amomi Fructus Rotundus), Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix) (each one qian), Nuomi (Oryza Sativa Glutinosa Semen) (one hundred grains).
Hetong Tang (Harmonizing Pain Decoction) treats heart and abdominal pain following spontaneous abortion.
Ingredients: Siwu Tang (Four Substances Decoction) (increase each by one qian half), Yanhusuo (Corydalis Rhizoma) (one qian), Zelan (Leonuri Herba), Xiangfu (Cyperi Rhizoma), Qingpi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium Viride) (each eight fen), Taoren (Persicae Semen), Honghua (Carthami Flos) (each five fen). Add wine and Tongbian (Child's Urine) when decocting/administering.
Qianjin Baotai Wan (Thousand Gold Fetus-Preserving Pill) For women who suffer spontaneous abortion at three months of pregnancy: although there is deficiency of qi and blood, the injury lies in the Chong Mai (Penetrating Vessel). The Chong Mai corresponds to the Yangming Stomach Meridian, which supplies nutrition for the fetus. At this stage, one must regulate diet, abstain from sexual desire, and avoid anger, thus avoiding the risk of spontaneous abortion. Taking this medicine can preserve the fetus.
Ingredients: Jiangzhi Chao Shudi (Fried Prepared Rehmannia Root with Ginger Juice), Tuchao Baizhu (Earth-fried Atractylodes Rhizome), Jiang Duzhong (Du Zhong Processed with Ginger Juice), Jiu Danggui (Angelica Root Wine-processed), Jiu Xuduan (Drynaria Root Wine-processed), Ejiao Zhu (Ejiao Beads), Sizhi Xiangfu (Xiang Fu processed in four ways), Yimu Jiao (Motherwort Gelatin), Tiaohuang Qin (Scutellaria Root) (each two liang), Chenpi (Tangerine Peel), Cu Aiye (Mugwort Leaf Vinegar-processed), Chuanxiong (Ligusticum Rhizome) (each one liang), Sharen (Amomi Fructus) (five qian).
Make pills using jujube flesh.
Taishan Panshi San (Mount Tai Porphyry Powder) Treats dual deficiency of qi and blood. Or obesity without substantial constitution, or emaciation with hot blood, or inherent weakness of Liver and Spleen, accompanied by fatigue and poor appetite, repeatedly causing miscarriage.
Ingredients: Renshen (Ginseng Root), Huangqi (Astragalus Root), Danggui (Angelica Root), Chuanduan (Drynaria Root), Huangqin (Scutellaria Root) (each one qian), Shudi (Prepared Rehmannia Root), Chuanxiong (Ligusticum Rhizome), Baishao (White Peony Root) (each eight fen), Baizhu (Atractylodes Rhizome) (two qian), Zhigancao (Honey-fried Licorice Root), Sharen (Amomi Fructus) (each five fen), Nuomi (Glutinous Rice) (a pinch).
As soon as pregnancy is suspected, take one dose every three to five days. After the fourth month, there is no need for worry.
Liangtai Yin (Cooling Fetus Drink) Treats restless fetus due to heat in the fetal qi.
Ingredients: Shengdi (Rehmannia Root Raw), Baishao (White Peony Root) (each two qian), Danggui (Angelica Root), Huangqin (Scutellaria Root) (each one to two qian), Gancao (Licorice Root) (seven fen), Zhiqiao (Aurantium Fruit), Shihu (Dendrobium Stem) (each one qian), Fuling (Poria) (one qian half). If heat is severe, add Huangbai (Phellodendron Bark) one to two qian.
Taiyuan Yin (Fetal Origin Drink) Treats instability and insecurity of the fetal origin due to failure of the Chong and Ren vessels. Modify according to symptoms. Take every other day or once every two to three days.
Ingredients: Renshen (Ginseng Root) (as appropriate), Danggui (Angelica Root), Duzhong (Eucommia Bark), Baishao (White Peony Root) (each two qian), Shudi (Prepared Rehmannia Root) (two to three qian), Baizhu (Atractylodes Rhizome) (one qian half), Zhigancao (Honey-fried Licorice Root) (one qian), Chenpi (Tangerine Peel) (seven fen; omit if no stagnation exists).
Sisheng San (Four Saints Powder) Treats bleeding during pregnancy (Lou Tai).
Ingredients: Huangqin (Scutellaria Root), Baizhu (Atractylodes Rhizome), Ejiao (Donkey-hide Gelatin), Sharen (Amomi Fructus).
Grind into equal parts. Take two qian of powder each time, administered with Mugwort Soup. Another version contains Shaoyao but not Ejiao. If this formula is prepared as a decoction, reduce the amount of Sharen by half.
Gu Tai Jian (Fetus-Securing Decoction) Treats frequent miscarriages due to excessive fire and stagnation in the Liver and Spleen.
Ingredients: Huangqi (Astragalus Root) (two qian), Baizhu (Atractylodes Rhizome) (one to two qian), Chenpi (Tangerine Peel) (one qian), Danggui (Angelica Root), Baishao (White Peony Root), Ejiao (Donkey-hide Gelatin) (each one qian half), Sharen (Amomi Fructus) (five fen).
Siwu Erlian Tang (Four Substances and Two Lianas Decoction) Treats fever due to blood deficiency, sores in the mouth and tongue, or comfort during the day with fever at night.
Ingredients: Siwu Tang (Four Substances Decoction) plus Huhuanglian (Coptidis Rhizoma / Coptis chinensis var. dissecta) and Xuanhuanglian (Scutellariae Radix / Scutellaria baicalensis) (each one qian).
