The Hand Shaoyin Heart Meridian and the Foot Shaoyin Kidney Meridian.
The Hand Taiyin Lung Meridian and the Foot Taiyin Spleen Meridian.
The Hand Jueyin Pericardium (Mingmen) and the Foot Jueyin Liver Meridian.
The Hand Shaoyang Sanjiao (Triple Burner) and the Foot Shaoyang Gallbladder Meridian.
The Hand Taiyang Small Intestine Meridian and the Foot Taiyang Bladder Meridian.
The Hand Yangming Large Intestine Meridian and the Foot Yangming Stomach Meridian.
The Sanjiao (Triple Burner) and the Pericardium are interior-exteriorly related.
Regarding the Eyes (with a note on Mingmen): The eyes are the external opening of the Liver. (Pulse and Color Theory) The East generates Wind; among the orifices, it corresponds to the eyes; its essence and yang qi ascend to the eyes to form the eyeballs. (Zang-Fang Theory) In the era of Fuhe (a balanced Wood phase), the organ it governs is the eyes. (Five Movements and Six Qi Theory) The meridian of the Foot Taiyang Bladder passes through the nape into the brain, directly connecting to the root of the eye, known as the Eye System (Yanxi). The Yin Qiao Mai and Yang Qiao Mai intersect; Yang emerges from Yin, and Yin emerges from Yang, meeting at the outer canthus of the eye. When Yang qi is abundant, the eyes open; when Yin qi prevails, the eyes close. (All from Acupuncture discussions)
The Qiao Mai meridians belong to the inner canthus of the eye. If Qi and Blood do not nourish this area, the eyes cannot close. The Ren Mai enters the eye region; the Du Mai and the Foot Taiyang Bladder Meridian originate at the inner canthus. Its branch rising straight from the lower abdomen ascends to connect with the area below both eyes. The Foot Taiyang Bladder Meridian enters the inner canthus; the sinews of the Foot Taiyang Bladder Meridian, as branches, form the upper eyelid margin (Shanggang). The sinews of the Foot Yangming Stomach Meridian ascend and merge with the Taiyang, forming the lower eyelid margin (Xiagang). The sinews of the Foot Shaoyang Gallbladder Meridian, as branches, knot at the outer canthus, serving as the lateral support. The Foot Yangming Stomach Meridian returns to connect with the Eye System; the Foot Shaoyang Gallbladder Meridian originates at the outer canthus and extends behind it. The Hand Taiyang Small Intestine Meridian reaches the outer canthus, with a branch reaching the inner canthus. The Hand Shaoyang Sanjiao Meridian reaches the outer canthus. The Hand Shaoyin Heart Meridian connects to the Eye System. The Foot Jueyin Liver Meridian links to the Eye System. The Hand Shaoyin Heart Meridian converges at the inner canthus. The Foot Shaoyang Gallbladder Meridian connects to the Eye System and merges with the Shaoyang at the outer canthus. At dawn, Yin qi is exhausted, and Yang qi emerges from the eyes; when the eyes open, Qi ascends to the head. At night, Qi circulates in the Yin aspects and re-converges in the eyes. (All from Meridian discussions) The eyes are the emissaries of the Heart Spirit; they are the repository of the essence of the Five Zang and Six Fu organs, where Ying Qi, Wei Qi, Hun, and Po constantly circulate, and from which Shen Qi arises. The fluids of the Five Zang and Six Fu organs all ascend and permeate the eyes. (All from Disease discussions)
Mingmen: The Foot Taiyang Bladder Meridian knots at Mingmen. Mingmen refers to the eyes. (Also from Meridian discussions)
