碍;
It is also said: Extend both legs and both arms, standing on the tips of the ten toes. This can cure "waist fracture" (severe lower back pain resembling a break) with inability to bend forward, as well as chronic coughing up of blood.
It is also said: Stretch both legs fully, grasp the ten toes with both hands seven times. This can cure a stiff waist with inability to flex or extend.
The *Yangsheng Fang Daoyin Fa* (Health Preservation Manual of Guiding and Pulling Methods) states: In cases of sudden left hypochondriac pain, visualize the Liver as the Azure Dragon. Visualize the Hun Spirit (Ethereal Soul) in the left eye leading five battalions of soldiers, with thousands of chariots and tens of thousands of cavalry, entering under the left hypochondrium guided by the Zhi Fu Official (Directing Officer) of Jia Yin, to expel the pathogen.
It is also said: In cases of right hypochondriac pain, visualize the Lung as the White Emperor. Visualize the Po Spirit (Corporeal Soul) in the right eye leading five battalions of soldiers, with thousands of chariots and tens of thousands of cavalry, entering under the right hypochondrium guided by the Zhi Fu Official of Jia Shen, to expel the pathogen. Lie on your side, extend the arm, straighten the legs, inhale through the nose, and exhale through the mouth. This eliminates skin pain in the hypochondriac region. Stop after seven breaths.
It is also said: Sit upright with the waist straight, look backward to the right towards the moon, inhale through the mouth and swallow the Qi thirty times. This eliminates left hypochondriac pain. Then open the eyes.
It is also said: Raise both hands, cross them above the head, clasp them together, and stretch to the utmost extent. This treats pain below the hypochondrium. Sit on the ground, cross both hands beneath the body (at the location of Buzhou), grip firmly and pull repeatedly. Long-term practice makes the body solid like Vajra (Diamond), regulating the breath to be long and steady, with momentum like wind, clouds, thunder, and lightning.
The *Yangsheng Fa* (Health Preservation Method) states: One should not sleep with the mouth open; doing so for a long time leads to Xiao Ke (Wasting and Thirsting Syndrome) and loss of blood luster in the complexion. Chisongzi states: Lie down, close the eyes, and perform twelve cycles of specific breathing exercises to treat indigestion.
The *Fa* (Method) states: Loosen clothing and lie down, extend the waist, massage the lower abdomen, and stop after five breaths. This method guides Kidney Qi, cures Xiao Ke (Wasting and Thirsting Syndrome), and benefits Yin and Yang. "Loosening clothing" means removing physical constraints; "lying down" means eliminating external distractions to facilitate Qi movement; "extending the waist" prevents compression of the Kidneys; "straining/nourishing Qi" (text implies an action of forcing Qi) fills the body with Qi; "massaging the lower abdomen" involves contracting the abdomen to draw Qi upward. This is called "Guiding the Kidney," which draws Kidney Water up to the throat to moisten the upper body, curing the withering condition caused by Xiao Ke (Wasting and Thirsting Syndrome); "benefiting Yin and Yang" increases physical strength, as these conditions are often deficient. However, one must observe seasonal precautions. Do not perform Daoyin immediately after eating or when extremely hungry, as this harms the body. Also avoid inauspicious days and periods of climatic imbalance. After Daoyin, walk 120 steps, up to 1,000 steps, before eating. The method requires avoiding food that is too cold or too hot, ensuring the Five Flavors are balanced, and abstaining from spoiled food or residues containing insects/scorpions. Chew thoroughly and swallow in small amounts. Do not sleep immediately after eating. This is called "Grain Medicine"; combined with harmonious Qi, it becomes true good medicine.
