Qianjin Cizhu Wan (Millennium Magnet and Cinnabar Pill): Treats the gradual dilation of Shen Shui (aqueous humor) with loss of luster, and the failure of nebulae to dissipate after the surgical manipulation of internal cataracts. This formula is used to anchor and settle.
Cishi (Magnetite, *Lodestone*) two taels (use the variety that attracts iron), Zhusha (Cinnabar, *Cinnabaris*) one tael.
First, heat the Cishi in a fierce fire seven times, quenching it in vinegar each time. Grind it into fine powder, process by water flotation (Shui Fei), allow to settle, dry, and obtain two taels of purified powder. Similarly, grind Zhusha into fine powder, process by water flotation, dry, and obtain one tael of purified powder. Take three taels of raw Shenqu (Medicated Leaven, *Massa Medicata Fermentata*) powder and mix evenly with the previous two powders. Then, take one tael of Shenqu, mix with water to form cakes, boil until they float, knead into the previous medicines, and form pills the size of mung beans. Take 30-40 pills per dose, administered on an empty stomach with rice water.
Note: The Qianjin Cizhu Wan formula was originally established based on the manufacturing method described in the "Zhi Nan Jing" (Classic of the South Pointer). In ancient times, when the Yellow Emperor campaigned against Chi You, Xuan Nu taught him the south-pointer mechanism to determine directions. The method involved mixing Shen Sha (Cinnabar) and Xionghuang (Realgar, *Realgar*) with needle tips, inserting them into the hollow tibias of live wild geese, and refining them through heating. After refinement, they were placed upon magnet stones. This is because Zhusha inherits the Qi of the South Li Fire, harboring pure yang essence like an infant; Cishi inherits the essence of the North Kan Water, emitting misty vapors externally. They are spiritual substances that correct正气 and dispel evil. By receiving the interaction of Yin and Yang energies, they do not get wet in water and can fly in the sky. Used to assist Cishi and Zhusha in making needles, the heaviest substance floats in water, attracted by the magnet, serving as the standard for the south pointer. In recent times, due to the scarcity of goose tibias, white rooster blood, Zhusha, and Xionghuang are mixed with needle tips, inserted into the heads of live carp, refined similarly, and stored with magnets. Those made at Wu hour (noon) and Zi hour (midnight) are selected for use, which shares the same principle as using goose tibias. All avian eyes have eyelids that cross from lower to upper, possessing a rising nature, which allows them to fly, unlike mammalian eyes where eyelids cross from upper to lower. I have quietly observed the principles of flying, walking, rising, and sinking, and can silently comprehend them here. Qianjin Fang understood this intent: it uses the heaviness of Cishi to anchor the turbidity of Shen Shui and gather the obscuration of yin pathogens. It uses raw Shenqu to disperse the properties of Dan Shi (mineral drugs), similar to the meaning of goose tibias stirring the two energies. Alas, among sages who revered antiquity and created formulas, none surpassed Changsha (Zhang Zhongjing). After Zhang Zhongjing, there was only one Jinshi (Imperial Graduate) in the Tang Dynasty [referring to Sun Simiao].
Zaojia Wan (Soap Pod Pill): Treats all internal and external membrane obstructions and nebulae that are too tender for needle manipulation. This pill should be taken concurrently with Sheng Shu Dihuang Wan.

Zhu Zhao (Pig Trotters) thirty pieces (fried with蛤fen), Ren Shen (Ginseng, *Radix Ginseng*) one tael, Chuan Xiong (Ligusticum, *Rhizoma Ligustici Chuanxiong*) half tael.

Take half a cup per dose, administered before meals. Salt water may also be used. Alternatively, form pills with raw chicken liver pounded into paste, which is even better. This is Mingmu Dihuang Wan plus Ju Hua and Qiang Huo. The reason Fang Feng, Xing Ren, and Zhi Ke are used together with Dihuang and Niu Xi is that long-standing wind invades the channel of Cold Water (Kidney). For those with deficient essence and blood, these three herbs should be removed and replaced with Bai Ji Li, Dang Gui, and Gou Qi, which is also acceptable.
