鬼压鬼打 如人初到客舍及无人冷房睡着，觉鬼物压打，其人呃呃有声，呼之不醒，不救必死。其法用雄黄、
牛黄（各一钱），朱砂（五分），研末和匀，以一钱烧于床下，一钱温酒调灌之。（《奇方类编》）
灸鬼法 治一切惊狂谵语，逾垣上屋，骂詈不避亲疏等症。以病者两手大指，用细麻绳扎缚定，以大艾炷置于
其中，两介甲及两指角肉四处着火，一处不着，即无效矣，七壮神妙。（《秦承祖方》）
山魈木客狐狸虫蛇作祟凭身者 以本人裤子抱头，则妖自大笑而去，永不再至。盖妖原欲盗人之精气也。然最
喜清洁，见人污物包头，则其人之不洁可知矣，故弃之而去。亦因其好洁而乱之也。不成气之物，而睡梦中来压人者，
亦以此法治之。（《石室秘 》）

疏，填写病患年庚及致病之由，在动土处，虔诚拜祷。如东方祷毕，即将东方神马焚，送其礼物，香烛供器一并抛弃。
东方空地，如有水处，抛弃水中。西南北三方皆仿此。四方祷毕，焚送中央，即在动土地上掘一坑坎，将神马并礼物等
项一并化填于内，再掘土之时，暗取一土带回，令病患吹气一口于上，随即用纸包好（不可令旁人见），走至四顾无人处，
将纸包抛弃而归。（《由拳盛氏抄本》）
家中若有邪气侵扰，取真雄黄三钱、清水一碗，用东南方向的桃树枝蘸水洒遍全屋，邪气便会绝迹。不要让妇女知晓此事。（出自《集简方》）

鬼压鬼打（指睡眠瘫痪症或类似症状）：如同人刚住进客舍或无人居住的冷房睡觉时，感觉有鬼物压迫殴打，患者发出呃呃的声音，呼唤不醒，若不救治必死无疑。其方法是取雄黄、牛黄各一钱，朱砂五分，研成细末混合均匀。取一钱在床下焚烧，取一钱用温酒调匀灌服。（出自《奇方类编》）
灸鬼法：治疗各种惊狂、谵语、爬墙跳屋、骂人不分亲疏等症状。用细麻绳将患者的两手大拇指扎缚固定，在大拇指指甲两侧及两指角肉四处放置大艾炷点燃。如果有一处不着火，就无效了，灸七壮非常神妙。（出自《秦承祖方》）
山魈、木客、狐狸、虫蛇等作祟附身者：用本人的裤子包头，妖怪就会大笑离去，永不再来。因为妖怪原本是想偷盗人的精气，但它们最喜欢清洁，见人用污物包头，就知道此人肮脏，所以抛弃离开。这也是利用它们爱干净的特点来扰乱它们。那些不成气候的东西，在睡梦中来压人的，也用这种方法治疗。（出自《石室秘录》）

告土法：请五位土马（祭祀土地神的仪式用品），写明东、西、南、北、中央的神位（如果没有土马，写在纸上做成牌位也可以）。用小鱼数尾、肉一块、鸭蛋一个、粉团五枚，分别装在青、黄、赤、白、黑五色盘中（东方青色、西方白色、南方红色、北方黑色、中央黄色）。准备烛炉供器五副，按方位一同供奉在一个香案内。写五张黄纸疏文，填写患者的生辰八字及致病原因，在动土的地方虔诚拜祷。如东方祈祷完毕，就将东方的神马焚化，送走的礼物连同香烛供器一并抛弃。东方空地上如有水处，将物品抛入水中。西南北三方都仿照此法。四方祈祷完毕，焚化送走中央的神马，就在动土的地方挖一个坑坎，将神马和礼物等项一起化灰填入坑内。再挖掘泥土时，暗中取一捧土带回，让患者对着土吹一口气，随即用纸包好（不可让旁人看见），走到四顾无人的地方，将纸包抛弃后回家。（出自《由拳盛氏抄本》）
If evil qi invades the home, take three qian of genuine Realgar (Xionghuang), one bowl of water, and sprinkle the entire house with water dipped from a peach branch from the southeast direction; the evil traces will be eliminated. Do not let women know about this. (From *Ji Jian Fang*)
For "evil spirit intercourse" (mental confusion or hallucinations caused by evil spirits), take two liang of Tiger Bone (Hugu), and one liang each of Cinnabar (Zhusha), Xanthium Seed (Wuyi), Arisaema Rhizome (Guijiu), Arisaema with Bracts (Guijian), Realgar (Xionghuang), and Veratrum Rhizome (Lilu). Grind all ingredients into fine powder, mix with refined honey to make pills the size of a bullet. Place two pills in a pouch; for men, tie it on the left back; for women, on the right back. Additionally, burn some pills in the patient's room. (From *Tong Shou Lu*)
Another method: have the patient press their two thumbs together and moxa-ignite the space between them with an moxa cone. (Ibid.)
Evil-dispelling talisman: On New Year's Day, write the character "Ling" (Spirit) in seal script and paste it on the door; all evil spirits will stay away for a thousand li. It is said that when humans die, they become ghosts, which people fear; when ghosts die, they become "Ling," which frightens ghosts. Writing and pasting this talisman ensures the whole family remains free from evil epidemics for a year. (From *Gou Lou Shen Shu*)
For sudden death caused by ghost expulsion (sudden fainting/collapse), blow a small amount of vinegar into the nose. (From *Qian Jin Fang*)
Ghost pressing/ghost beating (sleep paralysis-like symptoms): Similar to when a person sleeps in a new lodging or an empty cold room, feeling as if ghosts are pressing or beating them. The person makes grunting sounds, cannot be awakened by calling, and will die if not rescued. The method involves taking one qian each of Realgar (Xionghuang) and Calculus Bovis (Niuhuang), and five fen of Cinnabar (Zhusha), grinding them into powder and mixing evenly. Burn one qian under the bed, and mix the other qian with warm wine to administer orally. (From *Qi Fang Lei Bian*)
Moxa method for dispelling ghosts: Treats various conditions such as惊狂 (frightened mania), delirious speech, climbing walls, jumping onto roofs, cursing without distinguishing kinship or strangers. Tie the patient's two thumbs firmly with thin hemp rope. Place large moxa cones on four spots: the sides of both thumbnails and the fleshy corners of both thumbs. Ignite all four spots; if any spot does not ignite, the treatment is ineffective. Seven moxa cones are considered miraculous. (From *Qin Cheng Zu Fang*)
For possession by mountain spirits, tree spirits, foxes, insects, snakes, etc.: Wrap the head with the patient's own trousers. The demon will laugh loudly and leave, never to return. Demons originally seek to steal human vital essence but prefer cleanliness. Seeing dirty cloth wrapped around the head indicates the person is unclean, so they abandon it. This also disrupts them by exploiting their love for cleanliness. For non-corporeal entities that press on people during sleep, this method is also effective. (From *Shi Shi Mi Lu*)
Mantra-based exorcism: Take five fen each of Realgar (Xionghuang) and Atractylodes Rhizome (Cangzhu), and three fen of high-quality moxa floss. Grind into powder and make pills. While making pills, devoutly recite the Dipper Mantra 21 times. Secretly keep the pill in the left hand. When the patient begins speaking evil words, place the pill on the middle joint of the right middle finger and burn it. It need not be fully burned to achieve immediate recovery. Ritual to inform the Earth God: Invite five "Earth Horses" (ritual substitutes for deities), writing down the names of the gods of East, West, South, North, and Center. If no Earth Horses are available, write them on paper to serve as tablets. Use several small fish, one piece of meat, one duck egg, and five rice dumplings. Place these in five plates colored green, yellow, red, white, and black respectively (East-Green, West-White, South-Red, North-Black, Center-Yellow). Prepare five sets of candle holders and incense burners, offering them according to directions in one altar. Write five yellow paper petitions detailing the patient's birth date/time and the cause of illness. Pray devoutly at the site of earth movement. After finishing prayers for the East, burn the Eastern deity horse, discard the gifts along with candles and incense burners. If there is water in the empty eastern area, throw the items into the water. Repeat this process for Southwest and North. After praying for all four directions, burn and send off the Central deity horse. Dig a pit at the site of earth movement, fill it with the ashes of the deity horse and gifts. When digging soil again, secretly take a handful of soil back. Have the patient blow one breath onto it, wrap it in paper (do not let others see), go to a secluded place where no one is around, discard the paper package, and return home.
