Manic epilepsy caused by pathogenic factors, where the patient is unwilling to sleep and walks aimlessly without cease. The symptoms often occur in the early morning darkness, starting at Yin hour (3:00-5:00 AM). Do not let others see the patient at this time. Use the left hand to pick seven petals of peach leaves growing towards the east, and secretly tie them within the patient's hair; the condition will then stabilize. (From *Ji Xiao Fang*)

Pound them together until thoroughly mixed and mashed, warm the mixture, and bind it to the abdomen with a silk cloth. After three days, if blue veins appear, prepare the medicine according to the prescription and bind it for another three days; if no blue veins appear, the disease is cured. For severe cases, three applications can eradicate the root cause, preventing recurrence forever. (From *Meixi Gu Shi Kan Fang*)
All cases of uncontrollable mania: Place a basin of charcoal fire, and pour a bowl of vinegar onto the fire so that the smoke enters the patient's nose. Simultaneously, spray ginger juice on the patient's head, face, body, hands, and feet.
