朱砂（五两，色泽明亮者）、当归（Angelicae Sinensis Radix, 当归）、生地（Rehmanniae Radix, 熟地黄/生地黄，此处指生地黄，各一两）、犀角（Rhinocerotis Cornu, 犀牛角，需带有黑色且有棕色眼状纹理者）、人参（Panacis Ginseng Radix, 人参，各五钱）、川黄连（Coptidis Rhizoma, 黄连）、葛根（Puerariae Lobatae Radix, 葛根）、牛黄（Calculus Bovis, 牛胆结石，一钱）。
将药材切片，把朱砂捣碎成绿豆大小，装入绢袋并缝好。加入十碗水、二碗酒，连同药袋一起放入砂锅中，用文火和武火交替煎煮。直到只剩下少量药液时，即过滤出细汁，气味调和后奏效奇特。此方可扫荡痘毒。
当归（用红花汁浸泡后焙干）、熟地（熟地黄，经姜制处理）、生地（生地黄，经酒洗处理）、人参（各二两）、白术（Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma, 白术）、川芎（Chuanxiong Rhizoma, 川芎，各一两，经酒炒处理）、牛黄（一钱五分）。
将上述药材研成细末，用蜂蜜制成如皂角子大小的药丸。三岁儿童服用一丸，一岁儿童服用半丸。用薄荷灯心草汤送服。此丸专门治疗发病五六日后出现的症状，有益血作用，清除每日积累的毒素。

Use one live black carp. Place five qian of Zhusha (Cinnabar) inside the fish's mouth. Sew it up and dry it in the shade. If prepared on the Dragon Boat Festival (Duanwu), decoct it for drinking on the Winter Solstice.
Around three days before or after Lichun (Start of Spring), harvest half-opened red plum blossoms to fill one tea cup. Remove the calyx and place them back into the cup. Cover with a plate for one week. The aroma will naturally exude. Avoid contact with iron.
When approaching use, apply high-quality oil rouge from Linqing or Jining, Shandong, to the corners of both eyes to prevent damage to the eyes.
All three types of pills are coated with Huangla (Beeswax).
Zhusha (Cinnabar, five liang, bright in color), Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), Shengdi (Rehmanniae Radix, one liang each), Xijiao (Rhinocerotis Cornu, must have black color and brown eye-like patterns), Renshen (Panacis Ginseng Radix, five qian each), Chuanlian (Coptidis Rhizoma), Gegen (Puerariae Lobatae Radix), Niuhuang (Calculus Bovis, one qian).
Slice the herbs. Crush the Zhusha into sizes resembling mung beans. Pack into a silk bag and sew shut. Add ten bowls of water and two bowls of wine. Put the herb bag and ingredients together into a clay pot. Boil using alternating mild (wen) and strong (wu) fire. When only a small amount remains, filter to obtain fine juice. When the qi is harmonized, miraculous effects are achieved. This formula sweeps away doudu (smallpox toxin).
