结于肺。则成肺痈。多吐涎沫，而无脓者，肺痿也。口干喘满，咽燥而渴，甚则四肢微肿，
咳吐脓血，胸中隐痛者，肺痈也。痿为正气虚，痈为邪气实。）
皂荚（刮去皮弦酥炙） 为末，蜜丸，以枣膏和汤服三丸。
喻嘉言曰∶火热之毒，结聚于肺，表之里之温之清之，曾不少应。坚而不可功者，令服

（出自《金匮要略》）治疗肺痈，咳嗽气逆，时常吐出浑浊痰液，只能端坐无法平卧入睡。（肺是五脏的华盖，位于胸中，主管呼吸之气，其状态反映在皮肤毛发上。因劳损导致气血受伤，腠理空虚，风邪趁机侵入。内伤于肺，出现出汗怕风、咳嗽气短、鼻塞项强、胸膈胀满等症状，若久治不愈，则形成肺痿。风邪损伤皮毛，热邪损伤血脉，风热相互搏结，气血停滞，蕴结于肺，则形成肺痈。多吐涎沫而无脓液的，属于肺痿；口干喘促胀满，咽喉干燥口渴，甚至四肢轻微肿胀，咳嗽吐出脓血，胸部隐隐作痛的，属于肺痈。肺痿是由于正气虚弱所致，肺痈则是由于邪气实盛所致。）
皂荚（刮去外皮及两侧硬棱，用酥油炙烤）研成细末，用蜂蜜制成丸剂，配合枣膏煎汤送服三丸。
喻嘉言说：火热毒邪结聚于肺，无论是解表、攻里、温法还是清法，都未曾见效。对于这种坚硬顽固难以攻克的病证，令患者服用此丸。
加入蛤粉，与皂荚等分研为细末，名为皂蛤丸。每次服用二钱，用酒送下。治疗妇人风邪客居乳房，形成奶痈。（此药治疗咳嗽吐脓，痰中带血，或胸膈隐隐作痛，即将形成肺痈者，此方为首选。（此方即桔梗汤加味）
桔梗、杏仁、甘草（一钱）、阿胶、麦冬、百合、金银花、夏枯草、连翘（二钱）、贝母、红藤。
凡是肠痈生于小腹角落，微微肿胀且小腹隐隐作痛不止者，如果毒气不散，逐渐增大向内攻伐而溃破，则病情危急。应当立即以此药治疗。
(From *Jin Gui Yao Lue*) Treats Lung Abscess (Fei Yong), characterized by coughing with qi rebellion, frequent expectoration of turbid phlegm, and the inability to lie flat for sleep. (The lung is the canopy of the five zang organs, located in the chest, governing qi, and its condition reflects on the skin and hair. Labor and injury damage blood and qi, causing the interstices (cou li) to become deficient, allowing wind pathogens to invade. Internal injury to the lung results in sweating, aversion to wind, coughing, shortness of breath, nasal congestion, neck stiffness, and chest fullness. If these symptoms persist without cure, it becomes Lung Flaccidity Syndrome (Fei Fei). Wind damages the skin and hair, heat damages the blood vessels; when wind and heat contend, qi and blood stagnate and accumulate in the lung, forming Lung Abscess (Fei Yong). Frequent expectoration of saliva and foam without pus indicates Lung Flaccidity Syndrome. Dry mouth, panting and fullness, dry throat with thirst, slight swelling of the four limbs, coughing up pus and blood, and dull pain in the chest indicate Lung Abscess. Lung Flaccidity is caused by deficiency of healthy qi, while Lung Abscess is caused by excess of pathogenic factors.)
Gleditsiae Fructus (Zao Jia) [Scrape off the skin and lateral ridges, roast with su (animal fat)]. Grind into powder, make pills with honey, and take three pills mixed with date paste decoction.
Yu Jiayan stated: The toxicity of fire-heat accumulates in the lung. Methods such as releasing the exterior, purging the interior, warming, or clearing have all failed. For this hard-to-treat condition that resists conventional therapy, administer this pill.
Add Trisynum Pulvis (Ge Fen), mix in equal parts with Zao Jia, grind into powder, named Zao Ge Wan. Take two qian each time, washed down with wine. Treats women suffering from milk abscess (Nai Yong) caused by wind pathogens lodging in the breast. (This medicine treats coughing up pus, blood in sputum, or dull pain in the chest and diaphragm, indicating impending Lung Abscess. This formula is the first choice. This is Gekko Tang modified.)
Platycodonis Radix (Jie Geng), Armeniacae Semen Amarum (Xing Ren), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gan Cao) [1 qian], Coagulum Sanguis Bovis (E Jiao), Ophiopogonis Radix (Mai Dong), Lilii Bulbus (Bai He), Lonicerae Japonicae Flos (Jin Yin Hua), Prunellae Spica (Xia Ku Cao), Forsythiae Fructus (Lian Qiao) [2 qian], Fritilliriae Cirrhosae Bulbus (Bei Mu), Sargentodoxae Caulis (Hong Teng).
Whenever Intestinal Abscess (Chang Yong) occurs in the corner of the lower abdomen, presenting with slight swelling and unceasing dull pain in the lower abdomen, if the toxic qi does not dissipate but gradually enlarges and attacks inward leading to rupture, it becomes critical. One should immediately treat it with this medicine.
First, use about one liang of Hong Teng, decocted in two bowls of good wine until reduced to one bowl. Take one dose before noon, then sleep drunk for one shichen (two hours). In the afternoon, use about one liang of Viola Yedoensis Herba (Zi Hua Di Ding), also decocted.
