Xia Yingbai stated: The Hukou point is located at the junction of the thumb and the hand. Pushing from the Qian position through Kan and Gen positions into Hukou and rubbing it can eliminate food-fire (heat generated from food stagnation).
Xia Yingbai stated: Vigorously rubbing the Gengong point treats the inability to ingest food.
Xia Yingbai stated: Pushing away from the kidney meridian at the tip of the little finger, passing through the Dui, Qian, Kan, Gen, and Zhen positions, to the spleen meridian at the tip of the thumb and pressing it tonifies spleen-earth deficiency.
Xia Yingbai stated: Pushing away from the spleen meridian at the tip of the thumb, passing through the Zhen, Gen, Kan, Qian, and Dui positions, to the kidney meridian at the tip of the little finger and pressing it treats dark and scanty urination with dysuria.
Xia Yingbai stated: The Neilaogong point is located slightly to the left of the Tianxin point, which is biased towards the thumb side. With the child's middle finger flexed, the point where the middle finger presses on the palm center is this point. To induce sweating in the child, hold the child's little finger flexed, rub the child's Neilaogong point, and rotate it counter-clockwise (to the left). Rotating it clockwise (to the right) produces a cooling effect.
Xia Yingbai stated: The Xiaotianxin point is located at the end of the child's palm. If the child has wind syndrome with eyes rolling upward, pinch this point towards the palm base; if the eyes roll downward, pinch this point towards the Zongjin tendon, and the condition will subside.
Tu Weisheng stated: Xiaotianxin corresponds to the Da Ling point in acupuncture, belonging to the pericardium (Pericardium Meridian of Hand-Jueyin), thus it can treat wind. However, this should be due to wind generated by heat.
Xia Yingbai stated: The spleen meridian is at the tip of the thumb. Rotating counter-clockwise (left) is tonification, treating pediatric weakness, anorexia, visible green veins on the abdomen, sallow complexion, and limb weakness. Pinching downwards is purgation, used to clear spleen-fire.
Xia Yingbai stated: The large intestine meridian is on the lateral side of the index finger tip, adjacent to the thumb. Hukou is the web between the thumb and index finger. Pushing obliquely from the child's index finger tip to Hukou treats abdominal distension, edema, diarrhea, and dysentery. If there is more red blood in the stool, push the kidney meridian afterwards; if there is more white mucus, push the Sangguan point afterwards.
Xia Yingbai stated: If the child has food stagnation, pushing from the side of the Hukou point towards the large intestine meridian induces defecation to expel stagnation.
Xia Yingbai stated: The heart meridian is at the tip of the middle finger. Pushing downwards to the transverse crease at the end of the middle finger promotes qi circulation and unblocks orifices; pinching downwards induces sweating.
Xia Yingbai stated: The lung meridian is at the tip of the ring finger. Pinching downwards clears lung-fire; rotating counter-clockwise (left) tonifies deficiency.
